This paper proposes an evaluation model to assessment of development and operation for maritime leisure in Mokpo Port.. The proposed model is combination of SWOT(Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat} and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) to evaluate development and operation for maritime leisure. The evaluation hierarchical structure is structured by ISM(interpretive structural modeling} and composed of five level. At the third level, It combine SWOT into the assessment system Strength and Weakness are internal factors. Opportunities and threats are external factors. There are economic and maritime leisure development in the model. There are three development and operation investment as Third-Sector, company, local organization. According to the results, the participants perceive prefer to strength and opportunity and found that the priority for the development and operation for maritime leisure of Third-Sector.
This study extends the extant scope of understanding investment decision, beyond the dominant 'technical' emphasis on the application of discounted cash flow techniques. The research methodology draws the positivist and interpretive research paradigms. It uses a deductive approach, survey strategy and principal component analysis for the analysis. Three key sets of factors emerged as important in the investment decision process in the hydropower sector. They are: group consensus (framing), influences on own judgment (heuristics), and application of knowledge & experience (intuition). The use of purposive and convenient sampling might have some unintended impact on the findings. Consequently, any generalizations of the findings to a wider population of organizations and managers need to be made with care. It is hoped that this paper will encourage other researchers to go beyond the analytic techniques of investment appraisal that have dominated investment decision research and seek to balance the emphasis by focusing on human involvement and behavioral aspects of investment decision.
Purpose: This article was proposed to describe and summarize the following 1) the structural hierarchy of nursing knowledge and 2) the four different methods of concept analysis and concept development, which are used most frequently in nursing literature, and 3) to demonstrate a qualitative data synthesis of situation-specific theories in Korea in order to provide an venue for developing Korean-contextualized nursing theory. Methods: A literature review and a meta-synthesis were used. An interpretive integration method for the meta-synthesis was used to incorporate incorporating the results of ten qualitative studies in Korea. Results: The normative and extended concept of the self was one of the three foremost concepts. The experiences of being detached from a group and of being unlike others were perceived with distress to Korean participants. Lastly, as a coping method, complying with a higher flow or power was used. Conclusion: Based on the three concepts elicited in this article, a substantive theory which withholds Korean nursing concepts and essences is hoped to be developed in future.
The purpose of this study had started from trying to look for a new standard in new media era and sounding out possibility of perspective of digital poetry, and had been extracting interpretational elements based on characteristics of otology in digital poetics research in technical method. Through examination of many documentary records, we suggested interpretive elements of medial space based on meaning and the theory of digital poetics. We deduced three perspectives based on relationship between the basic thesis in poetics and interpretive elements of medial space. We used them as tool for analysis of example. We chose as an example that change of program in space is clear through connection of media and space in where new form of creation happens through digital instruments and chose article as subject to which digital technology is applied and had been since 2000, The result of this study is as following: First, epistemological analysis about a space of digital media in new media era requires poetical approach unlike aesthetic approach. We can endow creative action and creation process with significance and pay attention to technical method of manufacturing, stating appropriateness of perspective in digital poetics. Second, the justice of digital poetics and its basic thesis help derive analytic elements from medial space and study purpose of production, technical method, ontological characteristics, which are three perspectives of digital poetics. Third, it analyzed characteristics of example according to three perspectives above and we can analyze characteristics of spacial expression in space of digital media into potential, trans-active, and semiosis space. It would be possible through analyzing examples in digital poetic perspective to overlook new methods of design in 21th and various perspectives and possibilities of medial space design.
This study addressed the effects of environmental attitude improved using forest environmental interpretation program. While previous research has focused developing interpretation program itself, this study analyzed the effects that environmental interpretation has improved toward pro-environmental attitude. This program was designed self-guiding interpretive techniques at Mt. Palgongsan Provincial Park. Environmental attitude was measured using 12 statements which was based on fifth-graders attitude scale in U.S.A. Data were collected from 84 elementary school participants in this program. Results showed that attitude scores of participants increased toward pro-environmental attitude. Especially, three statements (interest, safe and benefits of forest) are statistically significant differences between pre- and post survey. Results can be used by outdoor educators to evaluate and plan their environmental interpretation programs and methods.
The purposes of the article are to explore historical contexts where everyday life is identified as the essence of family studies, and to suggest qualitative methodology which is effective to understand meanings of family everyday life. Everyday life is the integrity of the time when family members progress in a family life cycle, the space where they interact with each other, and the way how they achieve their developmental tasks. Qualitative methodology, coming from interpretive science paradigm, focuses on those processes, interactions, and meanings of family members in natural settings. Example researches are introduced to show what specific topic can be studied and how they be interpreted for exploring family everyday life. The future of studying everyday life is discussed in terms of the research topic and the methods.
The pervasive game environments have activated explosive growth of the Internet over recent decades. Thus, understanding Internet traffic characteristics and precise classification have become important issues in network management, resource provisioning, and game application development. Naturally, much attention has been given to analyzing and modeling game traffic. Little research, however, has been undertaken on the classification of game traffic. In this paper, we perform an interpretive traffic analysis of popular game applications at the transport layer and propose a new classification method based on a simple decision tree, called an alternative decision tree (ADT), which utilizes the statistical traffic characteristics of game applications. Experimental results show that ADT precisely classifies game traffic from other application traffic types with limited traffic features and a small number of packets, while maintaining low complexity by utilizing a simple decision tree.
This study discusses the nature of data-interpretation process in the perspective of modern hermeneutics and explores its methodological implications for qualitative research on the life of children. Discussions center around the basic concepts of modern hermeneutics, such as the conceptual distinctions between understanding and explanation, the intersubjective reality constituted between the child's horizon and the researcher's, the concept of the hermeneutics circle and the importance of the openness of language in understanding children's lifeworld. The conclusions are made as follows: First, the concept of "understanding", which is the basic concern of qualitative research on children, has a much different meaning from that of "explanation" in quantitative research. The task of understanding lies in interpreting the lived meaning in context as experienced by children in all its complexity. Second the researcher's subjectivity in the interpretation process has a dual function in that it can produce a faulty hermeneutics circle and yet it provides the researcher with the strong momentum to open up her understanding towards a deeper and wider level. Third, the reliability and the validity of qualitative research should be discussed within the interpretation process itself in that interpretation in qualitative research is guided basically by the researcher's internal dialectic: between data (text) and her subjectivity. Lastly, the language in interpretive research should be open and free in terms of style in order to present a fuller and richer description of children's lifeworld and the delicate textures of their lived meanings.
This study examined whether the "self-guided interpretation" media in the Yeoncheon area of the Hantangang River UNESCO Geopark are intelligible for visitors. Accordingly, two on-site investigations were conducted in the Hantangang River Global Geopark in September and November 2022. The Yeoncheon area, known for its diverse geological features and the era of geological attraction formation, was selected for analysis. We analyzed the readability levels, graphic characteristics, and alignment with science curriculum of the interpretive media specific to geological sites among a total of 36 self-guided interpretive media in the Yeoncheon area. Results indicated that information boards, primarily offering guidance on geological attractions, were the most prevalent type of interpretive media in the Yeoncheon area. The quantity of text in explanatory media surpassed that of a 12th-grade science textbook. The average vocabulary grade was similar to that of 11th- and 12th-grade science textbooks, with somewhat reduced readability due to a high occurrence of complex sentences. Predominant graphic types included illustrative photographs, aiding comprehension of the geological formation process through multi-structure graphics. Regarding scientific terms used in the interpretive media, 86.3% of the terms were within the "Solid Earth" section of the 2015 revised curriculum, with the majority being at the 4th-grade level. The 11th-grade optional curriculum terms comprised the second largest portion, and 13.7% of all science terms were from outside the curriculum. Notably, variations in the scientific terminology's complexity was based on geological attractions. Specifically, the terminology level on the homepage tended to be generally higher than that on information boards. Through these findings, specific factors impeding visitor comprehension of geological attractions in the Yeoncheon area, based on the interpretation medium, were identified. We suggest further research to effect improvements in self-guided interpretation media, fostering geological resource education for general visitors and anticipating advancements in geology education.
In a day and age when contemporary businesses are transformed, driven by a service-dominance logic and dependent upon IT, we need to understand how firms cope with technological adaptations and how such technological adaptations can lead to service adaptations. Drawing on a framework on technological transitions and an interpretive longitudinal case study of the services provided by a team within a large public IT firm, this article addresses the following questions : How do service transitions come about? Can we distinguish particular patterns in service transition processes? This research unveils how technological and social dimensions mutually constitute each other within development and implementation of service provisioning. The findings show how:(a) IT plays a fundamental role in service provisioning; (b) technological transitions are the necessary but insufficient preconditions for service transitions; and (c) there are attenuation effects when it comes to the move from technology transition to service transition.
