파노라마방사선사진상과 구외방사선사진상에서의 해부학적 구조에 관한 비교연구 (A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ANATOMIC STRUCTURES ON THE PANORAMIC RADIOGRAPH AND SOME EXTRAORAL RADIOGRAPHS)

  • The author has studied each landmark for successful interpretation in the radiograph of the head that have the complex anatomic structures, using panoramic radiograph, postero-anterior cephalometric radiograph, lateral cephalometric radiograph, Waters' radiograph of the skull. The anatomic structures of the human dry skull attached by radiopaque materials were taken radiographs and analysed comparatively. The results were as follows: 1. The overall anatomic structures of the mandible showed sharp images in the panoramic radiograph than other radiographs with relatively less distortion, superimposition, blurring of the image. 2. The anatomic structures were situated on sagital plane of the skull showed blurred images in panoramic radiograph than other radiographs. 3. The anatomic structures which were situated on the basal portion of the skull showed blurred and secondary images in the panoramic radiograph than other radiographs. 4. In the panoramic radiograph, the lower 3rd portion of the orbit appeared to be superimposed with the superior portion of the maxillary sinus and the medial and lateral surface of the nasal cavity showed extensively superimposition of the orbit and the maxillary sinus, which images showed blurring. 5. The inferior surface and posterior surface of maxillary sinus showed to be good image in the panoramic radiograph than other radiographs. 6. In the panoramic radiograph, line of maxillary bone between lateral pterygoid plate, line of maxillary bone between zygomatic bone showed distinct image with another structures.

GMAW 공정 중 용접 변수들이 용접 폭에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Welding Process Parameters on Weld bead Width in GMAW Processes)

  • In recent years there has been a significant growth in the use of the automated and/or robotic welding system, carried out as a means of improving productivity and quality, reducing product costs and removing the operator from tedious and potentially hazardous environments. One of the major difficulties with the automated and/or robotic welding process is the inherent lack of mathematical models for determination of suitable welding process parameters. Partial-penetration, single-pass bead-on-plate welds were fabricated in 12mm AS 1204 mild steel flats employing five different welding process parameters. The experimental results were used to develop three empirical equations: curvilinear; polynomial; and linear equations. The results were also employed to find the best mathematical equation under weld bend width to assist in the process control algorithms for the Gas Metal Arc Welding(GMAW) process and to correlate welding process parameters with weld bead width of bead-on-plates deposited. With the help of a standard statistical package program. SAS, multipe regression analysis was undertaken for investigating and modeling the GMAW process, and significance test techniques were applied for the interpretation of the experimental data.

Design Strategy for Residential Complex based on Landscape Urbanism

  • In this study, we aim to suggest direction for landscape design of residential complex in Korea by studying target areas to understand how landscape urbanism was applied to residential landscape design as it is the majority of landscape design in Korea and by closely examining design elements to be considered for design of residential complex based on landscape urbanism theory. For the purpose of the study, some of public multifamily housing complex were selected as target areas and a survey was first conducted to understand how landscape urbanism was applied to design of these target areas. Then, by analyzing the survey results, we identified which elements were of importance to designing of multifamily housing complexes in Korea and how practical design of landscape urbanism works. From this study, we concluded that landscape urbanism theory is not just about design strategies, but more of comprehensive design methodology covering both operation and management and that such theory can be appropriately applied to design of multi-housing complexes in Korea. We also discovered that in order to apply landscape urbanism in design stage for multi-housing complex, selecting which design strategy/words in the previous study is not what's important, but comprehensive understanding and interpretation of design languages is key.

정밀절대측위에 의한 지진 전·후 동아시아 지역 지각변동 모니터링 - 도호쿠 대지진을 중심으로 - (Monitoring the Crustal Movement Before and After the Earthquake By Precise Point Positioning - Focused on 2011 Tohoku Earthquake -)

  • 최근 전세계적으로 지진의 발생빈도가 증가하면서 지각변동과 재해탐지에 대한 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 2011년 3월 발생한 도호쿠 지진에 의한 변위 해석과 지진 전 후 일본 지역 및 주변 유라시아, 태평양, 북아메리카 및 필리핀 지각판에 위치한 IGS 상시관측소의 GPS 관측자료를 정밀절대측위로 처리하여 상시관측소의 정밀위치해석을 통해 지진으로 인한 변위 및 지진 전 후 지각변동 특성을 파악하고자 한다. 일본 및 아시아 지역의 IGS 상시관측소를 대상으로 지진 발생 전 후의 관측자료를 정밀절대측위로 처리하여 일본 지역의 지진변위를 분석함으로써 진앙지 가장 가까운 MIZU에서 최대의 변위가 발생하였고, 진앙지와의 거리에 반비례하는 지진 영향권을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 일본지역 주변 4개 지각판에 위치한 IGS 상시관측소의 정밀위치해석을 통해 지진 전 후 지각변동 속도의 변화를 산출하였다. 지각판 거동모델과의 비교를 통해 지진으로 인한 지각변동 변화를 분석하여 일본지역 주변의 지각변동 특성을 파악할 수 있었다. 향후, 지진예측 및 지각변동 연구를 위해 GPS를 이용한 지속적인 지각변동 모니터링이 필요하며, GPS를 이용한 지속적인 지각변동 모니터링을 통해 축적된 자료는 지각변동 및 지진예측 등 관련분야 연구와 함께 지진재해관리에 기여할 것이다.

Radiopacity of restorative composites by conventional radiograph and digital images with different resolutions

  • Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate and compare the radiopacity of dentin, enamel, and 8 restorative composites on conventional radiograph and digital images with different resolutions. Materials and Methods: Specimens were fabricated from 8 materials and human molars were longitudinally sectioned 1.0 mm thick to include both enamel and dentin. The specimens and tooth sections were imaged by conventional radiograph using #4 sized intraoral film and digital images were taken in high speed and high resolution modes using a phosphor storage plate. Densitometric evaluation of the enamel, dentin, restorative materials, a lead sheet, and an aluminum step wedge was performed on the radiographic images. For the evaluation, the Al equivalent (mm) for each material was calculated. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey's test (p<0.05), considering the material factor and then the radiographic method factor, individually. Results: The high speed mode allowed the highest radiopacity, while the high resolution mode generated the lowest values. Furthermore, the high resolution mode was the most efficient method for radiographic differentiation between restorative composites and dentin. The conventional radiograph was the most effective in enabling differentiation between enamel and composites. The high speed mode was the least effective in enabling radiographic differentiation between the dental tissues and restorative composites. Conclusion: The high speed mode of digital imaging was not effective for differentiation between enamel and composites. This made it less effective than the high resolution mode and conventional radiographs. All of the composites evaluated showed radiopacity values that fit the ISO 4049 recommendations.

배관에서 상반 정리를 활용한 비틀림 파의 산란 신호 진폭의 닫힘 해 계산 연구 (A Study on Scattered Wave Amplitude Closed-Form Solution Calculation of Torsional Wave Mode by Reciprocity Theorem)

  • 유도초음파를 활용한 비파괴검사기법은 장거리 배관 검사에 많이 활용된다. 장시간 사용에 따라 배관에는 표면 부식과 같은 형태의 결함이 주로 발생한다. 표면 부식형 결함의 경우 장거리 유도 초음파 검사 기법을 활용한 신호 해석에 어려움이 있다. 상반 정리는 복잡한 수학적 표현을 간단히 나타내주는 기법으로 잘 알려져 있다. 상반 정리는 평판, 반무한체의 산란 문제를 해결하는데 이미 적용된 바가 있지만 원통형 구조물에서는 적용된 사례가 없다. 이 논문에서는 배관 진단을 위해 상용 장비에서 많이 사용되는 비틀림파의 산란 신호를 상반 정리를 적용하여 해석하였다. 산란 신호는 상반 정리를 활용하여 산란 체의 형태와 위치에 따라 단순한 닫힘 해로 표현하였다. 타원형 결함과 사각 결함의 폭과 깊이 변화에 따라 주파수 별로 발생되는 산란 신호가 계산되었으며, 주파수 증가에 따른 주기적인 결과를 나타내는 것을 확인하였다. 산란 신호 해석을 위한 닫힘 해는 결함의 크기를 정량적으로 해석하는데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

특징 추출을 이용한 다중 영상 정합 및 융합 연구 (Multimodality Image Registration and Fusion using Feature Extraction)

  • 본 논문에서는 소동물 생체내 실험시 서로 다른 장비에서 획득된 영상의 융합 및 정합을 위한 방법을 제안한다. 마우스의 꼬리 정맥에 $[[^{18}F]FDG$를 주사하여 60분 섭취후 서로 다른 장비에서 동일한 위치의 영상을 획득하기 위하여 아크릴 재질의 소동물 가이드에 기준마크를 설정하고 microPET과 CT 영상을 획득하였다. MicroPET으로 획득된 리스트모드(list-mode) 데이터는 Fourier Rebinning(FRB) 방법을 사용하여 사이노그램(Sinogram)으로 변환 후 4 번의 반복횟수를 가지는 Ordered Subset Expectation Maximization(OSEM) 알고리즘으로 재구성하였다. MicroPET 영상획득후 PET/CT의 CT를 이용하여 CT영상을 획득하였다. MicroPET 영상에서 폐영역을 정확히 찾아내는 어려움이 있어. 해부학적 정보를 제공하는 CT 영상을 이용하여 폐 영역을 구분하였다. 영상 융합을 위한 불일치 부분을 해결하기 위하여 기준마크의 정보와 폐 영역의 정보를 이용하여 회전과 이동정보를 가지는 어파인 (affine) 변환 행렬 구하여 영상 정합에 사용하였다. 이 방법은 정량적 정확성과 영상 해석의 정확성을 개선할 것으로 기대된다.

Image Analysis of a Lateral Flow Strip Sensor for the Detection of Escherichia coli O157:H7

  • Purpose: This study was performed to develop a lateral flow strip sensor for the detection of pathogenic Escherichia coli O157:H7 in various samples. Also, feasibility of using an image analysis method to improve the interpretation of the strip sensor was evaluated. Methods: The lateral flow strip sensor has been fabricated based on nitrocellulose lateral-flow membrane. Colloidal gold and E. coli O157:H7 antibodies were used as a tag and a receptor, respectively. Manually spotted E. coli O157:H7 antibody and anti-mouse antibody on nitrocellulose membrane were used as test and control dots, respectively. Feasibility of the lateral flow strip sensor to detect E. coli O157:H7 were evaluated with serially diluted E. coli O157:H7 cells in PBS or food samples. Test results of the lateral flow strip sensor were measured with an image analysis method. Results: The intensity of the test dot started to increase with higher concentration of the cells were introduced. The sensitivities of the sensor were both $10^4$ CFU/mL Escherichia coli O157:H7 spiked in PBS and in chicken meat extract, respectively. Conclusions: The lateral flow strip sensor and image analysis method could detect E. coli O157:H7 in 20 min, which is significantly quicker than conventional plate counting method.

파인블랭킹 공정에서 V-링에 의한 재료의 변형 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Deformation Behavior of Material by V-Ring in Fine Blanking Process)

  • Press processing is one of the best machining methods capable of mass production, satisfying dimensional, shape and quality among the methods of processing a metal plate. Among them, Fine blanking is a method of obtaining a precise cross-section such as machining of the shear surface shape. In this research, Using SCP-1 and SHP-1 materials. The deformation behaviors of the material flow affecting the die height of the shear section in accordance with the position of the V-ring in the Fine blanking were compared and analyzed. Result of interpretation, It was confirmed that the force acts on the position where the material flow direction accurately forms the die roll that the material of SCP-1 is at a position of 1.5 mm and the material of SHP-1 is at 2.0 mm. As a result, it was confirmed that the state of fo1111ing the shear surface by the V-ring was excellent. Using analysis results, In the experiment, the height of the die roll was considered by applying The position of the V-ring was 1.5 mm in SCP-1 and 2.0 mm in SHP-1. As a result of comparing the height of the die rolls, the height values of the die rolls were different from each other, It has been considered that the tendency of the die rolls to coincide with each other. It is considered that the difference of the die roll height is caused by the pressure input of the V-ring. In this study, the deformation behavior of the material(In addition to the position of the V-ring, the flow direction of the material depends on the shape of the V-ring and the Indentation amount) is considered to be an important factor in determining die roll height.

유한요소해석에 의한 절대코일 와전류 신호의 임피던스 평면도 작성 (Drawing of Impedance Plane Diagrams of Absolute Coil ECT Signals by finite Element Analysis)

  • 와전류 탐상에서 차동형 탐촉자는 신호에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 줄일 수 있어 흔히 사용된다 그러나 차동신호는 인접한 두 코일의 임피던스 차이를 신호로 사용하기 때문에 신호예측이나 해석이 쉽지 않다는 단점이 있다. 반면에 절대코일에 의한 신호는 상대적으로 형태가 단순하므로 신호예측이나 해석이 더 수월하다. 따라서 서로의 장, 단점을 상호보완적으로 사용하면 검사 신뢰도를 향상시키는데 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 인코넬 평판과 튜브에서 절대코일 신호를 예측하기 위하여 유한요소해석을 수행하였고, 리프트 오프, 충전율, 전도도, 탐상 주파수, 피검사체의 두께, 내, 외부 결함 등이 신호에 미치는 영향을 계산하여 임피던스 평면도로 작성하고, 신호특징을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 절대신호에 대한 많은 실용적인 지식을 축적할 수 있었고, 절대신호와 차동신호 특성의 유사성을 이해하게 되었으며, 결함깊이와 주파수 변화에 따른 신호의 기울기를 대응곡선 그래프로 자성할 수 있었다.
