The Effect of Problem-Based Learning for Patient Safety on Self-Leadership, Patient Safety Competencies, and Reflective Thinking of Nursing Students

  • This study is a one-group pretest-posttest design to evaluate the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) for patient safety on self-leadership, patient safety competencies, and reflective thinking of nursing students. The research was conducted from March 2 to April 15, 2022, in which 57 nursing students participated. PBL for patient safety was examined in a total of 8 sessions in the order of motivation, problem identification, task performance planning, problem-solving methods, summary and solution, presentation, and evaluation. The following topics of patient safety were selected for each team: nursing records, high-alert medication, medication error and intravenous fluid regulation, blood transfusion care, fall, bedsore, infection control, and pain management. We provided feedback on the learning process and outcomes of nursing students. According to the results, self-leadership showed a statistically significant improvement in self-expectations (t=2.60, p=0.01), goal setting (t=2.84, p<0.01), self-reward (t=3.32, p<0.01), and self-criticism (t=2.32, p=0.02). Patient safety competencies showed a statistically significant improvement in patient safety knowledge (t=13.05, p<0.001) and patient safety skills (t=4.87, p<0.001) but not in reflective thinking. The results prove that PBL for patient safety is an effective teaching-learning strategy to improve self-leadership and patient safety competencies. Future studies must develop and validate specific and long-term teaching-learning methods to improve reflective thinking.

  • While most of the previous information technology adoption and diffusion researches focus the critical factors not on the organizational perspective but on the individual perspective based on the various reasons such as informational characteristics. This paper will try to analysis the adoption and diffusion factors of the Internet related technologies based on the organizational perspective. Nowadays, in especially, the evolving and fast diffusing Internet related technologies and the flourishing e-commerce applications pressure retail banks that prepare the new types of online payment systems to maintain their existing and new customer relationship and compete with their potential competitors in the coming market environments. In addition, while most previous researches only focus on the adoption of new information technologies, this paper not only analysis the adoption of innovational technology but also analysis the diffusion process in an organization, which encourage practitioners and researchers to reveal more detail and practical analysis of the innovational technology adoption and diffusion process in ann organizational setting. Based on the previous researches, there are several factor-category will be selected for this research: 1) organizational factor, 2) within banking industry factor, 3) non-banking industry factor, 4) customer acceptance factor, 5) government factor, and 6) the functionality of e-commerce systems factor. Finally, in this study, we assumed that the more sophisticated e-commerce adopting banks provide the more broad range of banking services in general. Thus, we develop the extended integrated technology diffusion model to provide empirical evidences to distinguish between adopters and non-adopters and explain the diffusion levels of e-commerce using the level of services provided via Internet to the customer in retail bank industry.

Error Assessment of Attitude Determination Using Wireless Internet-Based DGPS (무선인터넷기반의 DGPS를 이용한 동체의 자세결정 성능평가)

  • Inertial Navigation System has been used extensively to determine the position, velocity and attitude of the body. An INS is very expensive, however, heavy, power intensive, requires long setting times and the accuracy of the system is degraded as time passed due to the accumulated error. Global Positioning System(GPS) receivers can compensate for the Inertial Navigation System with the ability to provide both absolute position and attitude. This study describes a method to improve both the accuracy of a body positioning and the precision of an attitude determination using GPS antenna array. Existing attitude determination methods using low-cost GPS receivers focused on the relative vectors between the master and the slave antennas. Then the positioning of the master antenna is determined in meter-level because the single point positioning with pseudorange measurements is used. To obtain a better positioning accuracy of the body in this research, a wireless internet is used as an alternative data link for the real-time differential corrections and dual-frequency GPS receivers which is expected to be inexpensive was used. The numerical results show that this system has the centimeter level accuracy in positioning and the degree level accuracy in attitude.

An Analysis on Planners and Project Objectives of Kakao Storyfunding

  • This study is based on the purpose of organizing and planning a fundraising for Daum Kakao's 'storyfunding' during the recent crowdfunding that uses mobile-based Internet platforms to raise funds. Analysis by project subjects shows that one planner is more efficient if the ability of one planner, such as 'publishing', is important. However, there were many group A types of contents that require variety of expertise such as 'campaign' and 'journalism' after funding is completed. As a result of analysis by planning purposes, there were the most funds available to produce contents. This is a sign that there are many projects that match the basic purpose of story funding. There are also many other purposes for the purpose of raising public opinion for the project or the establishment of monuments, or for the support of people, animals, or animal rights groups. And there is a private equity fund to sell or promote products. Such quantitative research and analysis will accurately determine the current situation of crowdfunding and will provide basic data such as efficient human composition and goals setting to achieve the goals of crowdfunding in the future.

Exploring customer delight experiences in online shopping malls (온라인 쇼핑몰에서의 고객 감동경험 고찰)

  • Though customer delight is becoming one of the most important marketing key words, research in a retail setting is limited. With the dramatic growth of online retail shopping, this study explored customer delight experiences in online shopping malls by identifying the delight elements and analyzing the elements by online purchase steps. A total of 124 delight experiences collected from an unstructured questionnaire were content-analyzed. Delight elements in online shopping were categorized into service, product, price, delivery, package, and shopping mall operation in that order. Service related elements including free gifts and letters, recovery efforts for service failure, kind employees, and easy return were most frequently observed. Delights were experienced at the product receiving point, the prior-to-purchase point, the order-to-delivery point, and the post-purchase point in that order. The results revealed that customer delights in online shopping were experienced in various purchase steps by various marketing elements. Based on the results the study provided research propositions exploring the effects of expectation vs surprise, monetary vs non-monetary/emotional benefits/rewards, and core marketing elements vs augmented services on delight experiences.

GUI-based Black Box Test Automation Program Tool in Windows Environment (윈도우 환경에서의 GUI 기반 블랙박스 테스트 자동화 프로그램 도구)

  • In this paper, we propose and develop a test automation program tool that automates GUI based testing using black box testing technique in Windows environment. The main features of the proposed test automation program tool are as follows. First, an error condition is designated as an image, a screen is captured for each test step, and an error message is detected through comparison of image similarity. Second, the proposed system supports various setting options such as event waiting time during execution and coordinate increment value between each test step. Such black box test automation research was common in environments such as Android and Web, but not in Windows environment. The results of performance evaluation show that the proposed system performs GUI test automation as an image comparison module and confirms that the test is performed normally by confirming process status and error image detection.

  • Art work based on computer and internet media technologies such as digital art, computer art, internet art, interactive art. Through examples, we studied the interaction and communication method between the audience and the exhibition objects. It was confirmed that the new media works are expressed in a new form by fusion with various technologies of experimental propensity, and research and analysis of overseas media-related exhibition cases and interactive media use cases of works exhibited at the 'Media City Exhibition' in Korea were conducted. Was able to confirm the main characteristics of new media art. I think it will be a more meaningful study by setting specific criteria and focusing on the fields of application of new media art and comparing and analyzing the future values of the times.

  • RTP that is proposed supplement of real-time services on internet environment, as Real-time Transport Protocol, is the protocol that for the purpose of sending data of stream type. RTP and RTCP(Real-time Transport Control Protocol) basically work at the same time, RTCP serves with state information of network at present. RTP has important properties of a transport protocol that runs on end-to-end systems and provides demultiplexing. It also offer reliability and protocol-defined flow/congestion control that transport protocol like TCP can not provides. In this paper, we look around concept and construction of Differentiated sen1ice tint run on RTP and by setting parameters of packet transfer method be used CBQ(Class-Based Queuing) for packet transfer on Differentiated service, each service queue controls properly through packet scheduling method, such as WRR(Weighted Round Robin) and PRR(Packet-by-packet Round Robin) all service classes do not experience the starvation and confirm the performance through computer simulation to achieve fairly scheduling.

A Study on the Research Trends for Smart City using Topic Modeling (토픽 모델링을 활용한 스마트시티 연구동향 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze the research trends on Smart City and to present implications to policy maker, industry professional, and researcher. Cities around globe have undergone the rapid progress in urbanization and the consequent dramatic increase in urban dwellings over the past few decades, and faced many urban problems in such areas as transportation, environment and housing. Cities around the globe are in a hurry to introduce Smart City to pursue a common goal of solving these urban problems and improving the quality of their lives. However, various conceptual approaches to smart city are causing uncertainty in setting policy goals and establishing direction for implementation. The study collected 11,527 papers titled "Smart City(cities)" from the Scopus DB and Springer DB, and then analyze research status, topic, trends based on abstracts and publication date(year) information using the LDA based Topic Modeling approaches. Research topics are classified into three categories(Services, Technologies, and User Perspective) and eight regarding topics. Out of eight topics, citizen-driven innovation is the most frequently referred. Additional topic network analysis reveals that data and privacy/security are the most prevailing topics affecting others. This study is expected to helps understand the trends of Smart City researches and predict the future researches.

A Case Study of Retail Fashion Buying through B2B (B2B를 이용한 유통업체의 의류상품구매 사례연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the current situation of B2B fashion buying behavior (i.e., buying motives, product characteristics, buying processes), and to analyze the buying performance, buying problems and buying strategies. In depth, face-to-face interviews with structured questionnaire were conducted with three buyers and three vendors related to 18 buying items of C Company. Results of this research were as following:1. Buying motives were mainly reduction of buying costs, improvement of profits, and increased efficiency in buying process for retail buyers, while the selling motive was mainly improvement of market share for suppliers. Suitable items for B2B buying were basic items or bulk items. The B2B buying process included the following steps: selecting auction items, target prices, and suppliers ; setting the product specification and bidding niles; training the suppliers for preparing the auction; proceeding the auction by internet. 2. The perceived B2B benefits for buyers were profit improvement and cost reduction while those for suppliers were time saving and market share improvement. The indicated buying problems were as poor product quality, low product image, and difficulty in partnership. For B2B buying strategies, a quality management system, various auction tactics based on items, and a supplier management system were recommended.
