  • 본 논문은 공개소스 기반의 WAS 구성의 핵심인 Tomcat, JBoss, PostgreSQL, Apache 등을 한국형 공개SW 표준 플랫폼 BOOYO 상에 효과적으로 탑재하고 SPECjAppServer2004 벤치마크를 실시하여 외산 제품과 성능을 비교 한다. 벤치마크 결과 부하가 증가할수록 성능 측정단위인 JOPS가 기존의 공개SW플랫폼에 비하여 현저히 덜 하락하는 결과를 보이며 비교적 우수한 결과를 나타내었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 벤치마크를 실시하기 위하여 구축한 시험용 WAS의 구성 내용과 아울러 그 결과를 보다 상세히 기술한다.

Remote Experiments for Control Education

  • This paper suggests remote experiments using the internet for the control education. The remote experiment is composed of equipment server computers, networks accessible to internet, and real plants such as inverted pendulums, crane systems and microcontrollers. Additionally, it requires a server program that has I/O functions with plants and calculate the control, an interface program bridging between web and the server program, and the home page including the detail explanation for the usage. For effective educations, how to perform experiments and how to combine the experiment with lectures will be discussed. The simple experiments by entering a few control parameters and the complex experiments by designing overall controls, will be explained. Technologies related with the remote experiment and other possible remote experiment will be introduced. It is demonstrated that the remote experiment will be very useful, particular for control education where students have difficulties in performing the experiments for lack of experimental equipments.

  • Caching is one of essential functions in a wireless internet proxy server cluster. To serve best quality of service and choose suitable a proxy server for user, load balancer have to consider cache cooperation between proxy servers. Usually hashing is a simple way to support cache cooperation. In this paper, we compare and analysis static hashing and MD 5 that can be used for cache cooperation.

  • Recently, The online role playing games (RPG) get into spotlight of worldwide game marketing area because of the rapid growth of high speed Internet environment during a decade. The almost online RPGs are made of campaign scenario that constructed in series. In this paper, we propose the Distributed Server Model for the Evolutionary Online RPGs which have series scenario (Campaign). In order to represents evolutionary online RPGs, We configure the online RPG server uniquely by means of one to one mapping between logical and physical game world. We also configure the game worlds using circular queue form to express the evolution of civilization by reconstruction of game world.

  • In this paper, novel ubiquitous concept of real reality robot game controlled by a mobile server robot is proposed. Real reality robot game means that two real robots controlled by humans/computers through the internet are playing a boxing game. The mobile server robot captures playing images of the boxing game and sends them to GUI on the screen of human operators' PC. The human operator can login to the boxing game from any computer in any place if he/she is permitted. Remote control of a boxing robot by a motion capture system through network is implemented. Successful motion control of a boxing robot remotely controlled by a motion capture system through network can be achieved. In addition, real boxing games between a human and a computer are demonstrated.

  • In recent years, Internet/Intranet represents the next generation of computing environment. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate WWW((World Wide Web) over internet/intranet and DBMS(Database Management System) in proportion to the increase of various users' request and an amount of data variety. Also, also full variety of service over WWW need to accomplish rapidly modification of bug and make a betterment of system according to a feature of rapid change of information and an importance of interaction with users. The typical CGI method commonly used to connect with database has a disadvantage in time and resources in system due to frequent connection with database. Therefore, this paper provides the conceptual structure and implementation of information management system over WWW with applying a recent information technology called ASP(Active Server Pages) that controls and arranges client logic dynamically in server-side and introducing a concept of working group and folder to database design.

  • In this paper. we analyze networks in accordance with topology which consists of ATM-LAN in order to enhance performance in multimedia environment, We analyze job processing time of Email, FTP and Http server for variance of node in star, ring and mesh topology, We analyze a load factor of Email, FTP and Http server and variance of sending/receiving rate for various topology, We examined that the constituent networks in this paper can minimize load of server in any other topology.

  • This paper describes the requested IP assignment and authentication problem for wireless internet service of visited ISP subscriber on GPRS network, and proposes to use RADIUS authentication and accounting server for these problems. In this paper, we also define signals between GGSN and RADIUS, and between RADIUS authentication server and accounting sever for IP management and wireless internet service.
