  • The purpose of this study is to find out how the perceived waiting time of viewers of e-sports games affects negative emotions and how these negative emotions affect viewing satisfaction, viewing attitude, and continuous viewing intention. To achieve the purpose of this study, 200 viewers who watched e-sports games more than two to three times were targeted. 197 copies were selected as the final valid sample after excluding three of the collected questionnaires that showed unfaithful answers. For data processing methods, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation model analysis were conducted using SPSS 27 and AMOS 25. Through this, the following results were obtained. First, it was found that the perceived waiting time of the viewer had a significant effect on the viewers' negative emotions in the event of a game pause. Second, viewers' negative emotions were found to have a significant effect on viewing attitudes, but not on viewing satisfaction. Third, it was found that viewing attitude had a significant effect on viewing satisfaction and continuous viewing intention. Fourth, it was found that viewing satisfaction had a significant effect on continuous viewing intention. In other words, the more acceptable and shorter the perceived waiting time due to the suspension of the game pause, the lower the negative emotions of the viewers, and the negative emotions of the viewers ultimately affect the intention to continue watching through viewing attitude and viewing satisfaction.

  • In the field of scene segmentation, the precise segmentation of object boundaries in sports movement scene images is a great challenge. The geometric information and spatial information of the image are very important, but in many models, they are usually easy to be lost, which has a big influence on the performance of the model. To alleviate this problem, a parallel dense dilated convolution merging Network (termed PDDCM-Net) was proposed. The proposed PDDCMNet consists of a feature extractor, parallel dilated convolutions, and dense dilated convolutions merged with different dilation rates. We utilize different combinations of dilated convolutions that expand the receptive field of the model with fewer parameters than other advanced methods. Importantly, PDDCM-Net fuses both low-level and high-level information, in effect alleviating the problem of accurately segmenting the edge of the object and positioning the object position accurately. Experimental results validate that the proposed PDDCM-Net achieves a great improvement compared to several representative models on the COCO-Stuff data set.

The research was conducted with the use of a self-administered questionnaire. A total of 703 respondents between the ages of 25 and 55 participated in the research through an internet survey. Motivation for participation in particular sports was comprised of four factors: impress others, mental rejuvenation, social interaction, and health maintenance/improvement. Perceived benefits of clothing choice were categorized into three factors: brand/fashion pursuit, positive image pursuit, and practicality pursuit. Outdoor sports activities was categorized into six types, climbing, jogging, cycling, fishing, golf, and others including ball games. Each sports group presented differences in demographics, sports motivation factors, and benefit factors. Four segments were identified based on sports participation motivation: active group, social group, health and revitalization group, and inactive group. The active group considered three clothing benefits and 14 evaluative criteria as being the most important among the four segments, indicating the major target market for outdoor sportswear brands. On the other hand, the members of inactive group showed passive attitudes toward clothing purchasing behaviors. This study discusses the results of this research within the context of the managerial implication for outdoor sports marketers.
