  • Phishing is a form of online identity theft that aims to steal sensitive information such as online banking passwords and credit card information from users. Phishing scams have been receiving extensive press coverage because such attacks have been escalating in number and sophistication. According to a study by Gartner, Many Internet users have identified the receipt of e-mail linked to phishing scams and about 2 million of them are estimated to have been tricked into giving away sensitive information. This paper presents a novel browser extension, AntiPhish, that aims to protect users against spoofed web site-based phishing attack.

  • As the real time multimedia data service has become available due to the rapid progress of computer and Internet technology, the users can enjoy the newly developed service, which is called Video On-Dem-and(VOD). However, most of service providers have not paid their attention much on the software for various service modes on VOD, but they are only concentrating un the hardware to provide with the high resolution video display. Therefore, the service providers are recently to pay more attention on the software to cope with the various demands of users than hardware. So this paper has designed and implemented the VOD service system for those demands. Since the VOD service system suggested by this paper enable off-line search functions through E-mail, the users can possibly get the necessary information from off-line Search without connecting to the server while the current VOD service can prominently help users to save the time and effort to sea고 and select the Video contents by using periodical current awareness service supported by PUSH technology and user oriented information booking and feedback service supported by SDI service.

  • Document filtering is a task of deciding whether a document has relevance to a specified topic. As Internet and Web becomes wide-spread and the number of documents delivered by e-mail explosively grows the importance of text filtering increases as well. In this paper, we treat document filtering problem as binary document classification problem and we proposed the News Filtering system based on the Bayesian Classifier. For we perform filtering, we make an experiment to find out how many training documents, and how accurate relevance checks are needed.

  • 인터넷의 가장 중요한 서비스 중의 하나인 저낮 메일 시스템으 swjd보 교환의 수단으로 널리 이용되고 있다. 그러나, 대부분의 기존 전자 메일 시스템은 7비트 코드를 지원하기 위하여 설계되었기 때문에 한글 메시지와 같은 8비트 코드를 전송하는데 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 MIME, ISO-2022-KR과 같은 기법이 발표 되었지만 아직도 한글 메시지의 송수신에는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반 사용자가 보다 편리하게 한글 메시지를 송수신할 수 있는 전자 메일 브라우저 모델을 제시한다. 제시한 모델의 기본 개념은 MIME만을 지원하는 POP3 클라이언트를 확장한 것으로써 8비트 한글 메시지를 ISO-2022-KR이나 Quoted-Printable 혹은 Base64로 인코딩하여 7비트로 전송한다. 제시한 모델의 타당성을 검토하기 위하여 전자 apdf 브라우저를 한글 Win95환경에서 구현하여 실험하였다.

Relationships among Shopping Orientation, Shopping-Mall Characteristics, Consumer Satisfaction, and Loyalty in Online Market of Cosmetics (화장품 온라인 시장에서 쇼핑 성향, 쇼핑몰 특성, 소비자 만족, 충성도의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among Shopping Orientation, Shopping-mall characteristics, Consumer Satisfaction, and Loyalty in online market. Data were collected from 405 adult women and analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test using by SPSS 12.0. The results showed that recreation shoppers to buy the cosmetics in online market, were more likely to perceive the shopping mall characteristics, information, check-out convenience, and product price of shopping mall than the other shoppers. Both brand oriented shoppers and economic oriented shoppers were more likely to perceive information offered at newsletters and e-mail of Internet shopping mall. Additionally, the more active shoppers were the more satisfied and the greater loyalty at online shopping mall of cosmetics. Implications are drawn for the information useful marketer and retailers of the online shopping mall of cosmetics.

Factors Affecting Outsourcing Decisions in the Implementation of Small and Medium Sized Cyber Shopping Shops (중소 사이버쇼핑숍 구현에서의 아웃소싱 결정요인에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • The internet-based electronic commerce is considered as a new strategic alternative to boost competitiveness for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs). However, very little research about them has been reported. Meanwhile, the cyber shopping shops in Korea are growing rapidly in their numbers, scales, and diversity of business models. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing outsourcing decisions in the implementation of small and medium-sized cyber shopping shops. Based on the previous studies on IS outsourcing, marketing channel, and their related theories, three areas of determinants(IT & organizational, product, marketing channel characteristics) were identified. Responses of 125 cyber shopping shops from e-mail survey indicate that IT capability, technical specificity of shop implementation, degree of product customization, average amount of order, marketing capability are negatively associated with outsourcing of cyber shopping shop implementation. The results also indicate that the outsourcing decision on systems implementation and marketing channel selection(direct/indirect selling) is performed separately.

  • This survey suggests current dairy information system in Kyong-ki province and personal computer education for dairy farmers in Korea. With the development of internet and dairy database system, more effective, quick delivery of dairy management and technology would be possible. Dairy expert's E-mail advice and using multimedia will be a great method to provide dairy technologies in Korea.

  • Distributing information on the internet is common in our daily life. In the past, e-mail has been the primary choice of exchanging information, but instant messengers are gaining popularity abroad and domestically because of their immediate responses. Instant messaging has become the fastest growing communication technology in recent years. Instant messaging is effectively a chat room for two people. Users that have accounts with the same provider are able to send messages via computer in real time. Instant messaging has exploded into the business world as companies now utilize the technology for everything from interoffice communication to client/customer communication. In this paper, we propose a method of instant messenger system design for effective collaboration of statistical data collection.

Instance Based Learning Revisited: Feature Weighting and its Applications

  • Instance based learning algorithm is the best known lazy learner and has been successfully used in many areas such as pattern analysis, medical analysis, bioinformatics and internet applications. However, its feature weighting scheme is too naive that many other extensions are proposed. Our version of IB3 named as eXtended IBL (XIBL) improves feature weighting scheme by backward stepwise regression and its distance function by VDM family that avoids overestimating discrete valued attributes. Also, XIBL adopts leave-one-out as its noise filtering scheme. Experiments with common artificial domains show that XIBL is better than the original IBL in terms of accuracy and noise tolerance. XIBL is applied to two important applications - intrusion detection and spam mail filtering and the results are promising.
