International economic and legal cooperation can ensure the transition of agriculture to the trajectory of sustainable development. The paper considers in detail the set of common goals and problems of an international nature, the solution of which is aimed at global legal regulation of cooperation between states. It is also noted about the impact of information technology on agricultural development. The following methods of scientific cognition are used: a historical, systematic approach to research, method of analysis, and synthesis. Research results: a scientific idea of the importance of international cooperation in general and global collaboration in the field of agricultural production in particular. It is stated that states are obliged to cooperate, regardless of differences in their political, economic, and social systems, in various areas of international relations to maintain international peace, security and promote worldwide economic stability and progress, the common good of peoples. It is emphasized the need to build such relations in the agricultural sector, which take into account the interests of all states.

Taean county region has been economically lagged behind compared with other areas in Chungnam Province mainly due to disadvantages of the location such as traffic accessibility, social infrastructure and industrial complex. However, recently Taean region has been emerged as newly prospective area because west coastal highway will be constructed to connect Seoul urban area to famous beach sites, recreational facilities along the seaside of Taean county, where International Flower Exhibition will also be held in Anmyon Island for the year of 2002. This Paper aims to explore how International Flower Exhibition is contributing to the development of local economy of Taean County area and to suggest the strategies for the development of this area through promoting spread effects of these international events. It is estimated that although there will be loss of 32,987 thousands won during the period of international flower festival based on the cash flow analysis, long run profits would be 108 trillion won, when calculating indirect benefits derived from the sight seeing, flower sales and other incomes from various activities. In order to maximize post benefits of international flower event, it is suggested that Taean county should pursue the strategies for specializing in cultural events such as family recreational events, beach festival and traditional cultural events, improving the social infrastructure and promoting the local industry such as flower, tourism and advanced technological enterprises.

This study was carried out to strengthen institution of international youth change in rural area. References, in the field of international cooperation international youth exchange and youth's volunteer service were reviewed. Considering rural situation, poor human resources in terms of foreign languages and globalization are major problems for international youth exchange. Such problems as poor network among relevant organizations for international youth change, low level of rural internationalization and lacking of development plan for exchange program were pointed out. For effective international youth exchange, the following strategies were suggested : 1) networking among youth, local government, industries and community, 2) youth education for global citizenship, 3) globalization of local industries, local government, and rural community, et.c.

Carbon neutrality is emerging as a new paradigm for the international society by transiting from climate change to climate risk. This study proposes evaluation methods for the carbon reduction contribution of climate-related national R&D projects in order to introduce a green budget system in the agricultural sector. We considered the domestic and foreign green budget systems and classified national R&D projects into positive, negative, and neutral from the perspective of carbon reduction. The results of this study propose three methods to estimate the monetary costs and carbon benefits by adopting the framework for the economic evaluation of national R&D projects conducted by the Rural Development Administration. These methods support to evaluate the potential contribution to carbon reduction of national R&D projects in the agricultural sector. Finally, the proposed methods were tested and verified for the efficiency and validity of evaluating carbon reduction contribution. These evaluation methods of the carbon reduction contribution can be used as a basic methodology for the pre-budget calculations of national R&D projects and the contribution for the greenhouse gas reduction budget.

Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larva is well-known as an edible insect. The present study aimed to explore the immune-enhancing effect of 30% ethanol extract of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae (PBE) in RAW264.7 macrophage cells. PBE were not cytotoxic to RAW264.7 cells and nitric oxide production increased on PBE treatment in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, PBE significantly promoted the expression of immune-related mediators (Inos and COX-2) and cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β) and the phosphorylation of MAPKs (ERK, p38, and JNK). Taken together, the immune-enhancing effects of 30% ethanol extract of PBE in vitro were identified. These findings can be used as data for the development of edible insect-based functional foods that improve immune function.

In recent years, the number of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition that commonly occurs in elderly men, has increased due to aging and the adoption of western dietary habits. Treatment with chemical drugs, such as finasteride or dutasteride, can cause side effects such as erectile dysfunction or sexual problems. This necessitates the development of remedies using natural substances derived from food ingredients. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effects of Oxya chinensis sinuosa hot water extract (OCH) on BPH production in LNCaP cells, a hormone-dependent prostate cancer cell line. We found that the mRNA expression of androgen receptor (AR), prostate specific antigen (PSA), and, 5α-reductases 1, and 2 decreased following treatment with OCH. Furthermore, OCH treatment resulted in reduced protein expression of BPH regulators, such as AR. Collectively, these results suggest that OCH exerts a beneficial effect on BPH by inhibiting the AR signaling pathway, indicating the potential of OCH as a therapeutic agent for the prevention and treatment of BPH.

The rice field grasshopper, Oxya chinensis sinuosa (OC), has traditionally been utilized in Korea for various purposes; however, its potential benefits in the context of osteoporosis remain unclear. The results revealed that OC ethanol extract (OCE) significantly inhibited the formation and activity of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP)-positive cells in receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL)-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Furthermore, OCE, at concentrations ranging from 100 to 400 ㎍/mL, demonstrated a dose-dependent reduction in the protein expression of osteoclast-specific markers, including nuclear factor of activated T cell cytoplasmic 1, c-Src, and TRAP, when compared to RANKL stimulation alone. Additionally, OCE significantly inhibited RANKL-induced activation of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) but not the activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase. Collectively, these results indicate that OCE suppresses osteoclastogenesis by attenuating the phosphorylation of p38 MAPK and JNK. Consequently, these findings suggest that OCE holds promise for the prevention of osteoporosis.

Fertilizer has been played greately on the agricultural development as well as food production and agriculture has also promoted the development of fertilizer industry. There were, however, many difficulties between supply and demand of fertilizer throughout the decade. In this regard, this paper is involved with present situation and prospect of commercial fertilizers, in view of domestic and international scheme on resources, production, and demand within the limited information. Brief history of commercial fertilizer in Korea has outlined for the introduction and fertilizer consumption per unit area also discussed.

In 1980 the Ministrv of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheies(MAFF) established the Long-term Tideland Development Scheme in the South-west Seashore Region. Since that time Korea has been developing comprehensive and innovative development frmaeworks in reclamation works and levelling up the potentialities of the donating country of internatioal cooperation in that field. And also, Korea has the well-organized governmental institutions for international cooperation in the development of tideland reclamation technologies such as RDC(Rural Development Corporation) for the field of agricultural engineering and RDA(Rural Development Administration) for the field of agricultural development. In Conclusion, it is ascertained that Korea has a good potentiality of aiding developing countries in the development of tideland reclamation, especially in agricultural development.
