파랑중에서 전진동요하는 선박의 특이파수 억제에 관한 연구 (On the Removal of Irregular Frequencies in the Prediction of Ship Motion in Waves)

  • 선박 내항성능의 3차원적 해석을 위하여 3차원 판넬 방법을 이용한 쏘오스 분포법과 쏘오스-다이폴 분포법이 널리 이용되어 왔다. 그러나, 이 방법들을 이용하는 경우에는 내부 유동에 의한 자유표면의 공진현상에 의해 특이파수(irregular frequency)라고 불리는 파주파수에서 동유체력 계산에 큰 오차가 발생하게 되며 이런 현상을 제거하는 것은 정확한 내항성능 해석에 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전진동요하는 선박의 운동 해석을 위하여 Wu등이 유도한 전진하면서 동요하는 Green 함수를 이용하였다. Green함수의 계산을 위하여는 어뎁티브(adaptive) 적분방법과 스트레칭(stretching) 변환 및 정류위상(stationary phase) 적분 방법을 사용하였으며 선체의 표면과 선체 내부 수선면에 특이점을 분포한 적분방정식을 도출하였다. 또한 2차원 문제를 다룬 Ohmatsu의 제안에 따라 내부 수선면에서 법선속도가 0이라는 조건을 이용하여 동요하는 문제의 불규칙파수 현상을 제거할 수 있었다. 계산은 Series 60($C_B=0.7$)에 대하여 수행되었으며 부가질량 계수, 감쇠 계수 및 파랑강제력에 대하여 기존의 연구 결과 및 실험 결과와 비교하였다.

Development and validation of LC-MS/MS for bioanalysis of hydroxychloroquine in human whole blood

  • This study aimed to analyze a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separation using a pentafluorophenyl column of parent drug hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and its active metabolite, desethylhydroxchloroquine (DHCQ) applying to determine bioequivalence of two different formulations administered to patients. A rapid, simple, sensitive and specific liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method has been developed and validated for bioanalysis of HCQ and its metabolite DHCQ in human whole blood using deuterium derivative $hydroxychloroquine-D_4$ as an internal standard (IS). A triple-quadrupole mass spectrometer was operated using electrospray ionization in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. Sample preparation involves a two-step precipitation of protein techniques. The removed protein blood samples were chromatographed on a pentafluorophenyl (PFP) column ($50mm{\times}4.6mm$, $2.6{\mu}m$) with a mobile phase (ammonium formate solution containing dilute formic acid) in an isocratic mode at a flow rate of 0.45 mL/min. The standard curves were found to be linear in the range of 2 - 500 ng/mL for HCQ; 2 - 2,000 ng/mL for DHCQ in spite of lacking a highly sensitive MS spectrometry system. Results of intra- and inter-day precision and accuracy were within acceptable limits. A run time of 2.2 min for HCQ and 2.03 min for DHCQ in blood sample facilitated the analysis of more than 300 human whole blood samples per day. Taken together, we concluded that the assay developed herein represents a highly qualified technology for the quantification of HCQ in human whole blood for a parallel design bioequivalence study in a healthy male.

S-형 노즐 형상의 중심선 형태에 따른 차폐율과 추력 성능 해석 (Shield Ratio and Thrust Performance Analysis According to The S-Type Nozzle of The Centerline Shape)

  • 본 연구에서는 중심선 방정식 선정에 따른 노즐 성능 영향성을 확인하고자 하였다. 곡선 방정식과 설계 형상 파라미터를 활용하여 S-형 노즐 3조와 Double S-형 노즐 3조를 설계하였고 노즐 차폐 성능은 차폐율 정의를 이용하여 평가하였다. 그리고 내부 유동을 분석하기 위해 속도 분포도와 압력분포도로 특성을 연구하였고, 노즐 성능 계수로는 총 추력 비(f)와 노즐 단열 효율계수(η)를 통해 노즐의 성능을 평가하였다. 중심선에 따른 S-형 노즐의 성능 영향성을 분석한 결과 출구에서 급격한 곡률 변화가 있는 중심선은 노즐 성능이 우수한 반면 차폐율이 낮은 특징이 있다. 반면에 입구에서 급격한 곡률 변화가 있는 중심선은 노즐 성능이 낮아지고 차폐율이 높은 특징이 있다. Double S-형 노즐은 첫 번째 곡률에서 완만한 특징을 보이는 중심선을 사용하는 것이 노즐 성능과 차폐율이 우수하였다.

The effect of different tornado wind fields on the response of transmission line structures

  • Majority of transmission line system failures at many locations worldwide have been caused by severe localized wind events in the form of tornadoes and downbursts. This study evaluates the structural response of two different transmission line systems under equivalent F2 tornadoes obtained from real incidents. Two multi-span self-supported transmission line systems are considered in the study. Nonlinear three-dimensional finite element models are developed for both systems. The finite element models simulate six spans and five towers. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations are used to develop the tornado wind fields. Using a proper scaling method for geometry and velocity, full-scale tornado flow fields for the Stockton, KS, 2005 and Goshen County WY, 2009 are developed and considered together with a previously developed tornado wind field. The tornado wind profiles are obtained in terms of tangential, radial, and axial velocities. The simulated tornadoes are then normalized to the maximum velocity value for F2 tornadoes in order to compare the effect of different tornadoes having an equal magnitude. The tornado wind fields are incorporated into a three-dimensional finite element model. By varying the location of the tornado relative to the transmission line systems, base shears of the tower of interest and peak internal forces in the tower members are evaluated. Sensitivity analysis is conducted to assess the variation of the structural behaviour of the studied transmission lines associated with the location of the tornado relative to the tower of interest. The tornado-induced forces in both lines due to the three different normalized tornadoes are compared with corresponding values evaluated using the simplified load case method recently incorporated in the ASCE-74 (2020) guidelines, which was previously developed based on the research conducted at Western University.

ALD 설비의 NH3(Ammonia)누출 시나리오에 대한 내부유동 및 제어 속도 해석 (Analysis of Internal Flow and Control Speed for NH3 (Ammonia) Leakage Scenario of ALD Facility)

  • 반도체 생산 설비 중 ALD는 열이나 플라즈마로 분해한 Gas를 Wafer에 증착시켜 원자층을 형성시키는 설비로 주로 인화성 물질인 NH3와 SIH4이 사용된다. 이중 NH3는 연소·폭발 범위가 상한(UFL) 33.6%, 하한(LEL) 15%로 폭발 범위가 비교적 좁지만 많은 양이 갑자기 한곳에 모이면 폭발할 수 있고, 피부에 닿거나 흡입하면 치명적이다. NH3는 ALD Gas inlet의 배관과 전기·기계 기구를 통해 Chamber로 공급되는데 많은 누출 가능점이 존재하여 누출 시 화재·폭발 또는 중독 사고로 이어질 수 있어 NH3 누출 시나리오에 대한 내부 유동과 제어 속도를 이해하고 고환기가 가능한 배기장치를 설계하는 것이 필요하여 본 연구자는 NH3의 누출시나리오를 CFD에 적용하여 내부유동과 제어 속도를 수치 분석하여 설계 시 반영할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • PCS needs to freely switch AC and DC to connect the battery, external AC loads and renewable energy in both directions for energy efficiency. Whenever converting happens, power loss inevitably occurs. Minimization of the power loss to save electricity and convert it for usage is a very critical function in PCS. PCS plays an important role in the ESS(Energy Storage System) but the importance of stabilizing semiconductors on PCB(Printed Circuit Board) should be empathized with a risk of failure such as a fire explosion. In this study, the temperature variation inside PCS was reviewed by cooling fan on top of PCS, and the vibration characteristics of PCS were analyzed during truck transportation for reliability of the product. In most cases, a cooling fan is mounted to control the inner temperature at the upper part of the PCS and components generating the heat placed on the internal aluminum cooling plate to apply the primary cooling and the secondary cooling system with inlet fans for the external air. Results of CFD showed slightly lack of circulating capacity but simulated temperatures were durable for components. The resonance points of PCS were various due to the complexity of components. Although they were less than 40 Hz which mostly occurs breakage, it was analyzed that the vibration displacement in the resonance frequency band was very insufficient. As a result of random-vibration simulation, the lower part was analyzed as the stress-concentrated point but no breakage was shown. The steel sheet could be stable for now, but for long-term domestic transportation, structural coupling may occur due to accumulation of fatigue strength. After the test completed, output voltage of the product had lost so that extra packaging such as bubble wrap should be considered.

Profiling Bartonella infection and its associated risk factors in shelter cats in Malaysia

  • Background: Poor disease management and irregular vector control could predispose sheltered animals to disease such as feline Bartonella infection, a vector-borne zoonotic disease primarily caused by Bartonella henselae. Objectives: This study investigated the status of Bartonella infection in cats from eight (n = 8) shelters by molecular and serological approaches, profiling the CD4:CD8 ratio and the risk factors associated with Bartonella infection in shelter cats. Methods: Bartonella deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was detected through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) targeting 16S-23S rRNA internal transcribed spacer gene, followed by DNA sequencing. Bartonella IgM and IgG antibody titre, CD4 and CD8 profiles were detected using indirect immunofluorescence assay and flow cytometric analysis, respectively. Results: B. henselae was detected through PCR and sequencing in 1.0% (1/101) oral swab and 2.0% (1/50) cat fleas, while another 3/50 cat fleas carried B. clarridgeiae. Only 18/101 cats were seronegative against B. henselae, whereas 30.7% (31/101) cats were positive for both IgM and IgG, 8% (18/101) cats had IgM, and 33.7% (34/101) cats had IgG antibody only. None of the eight shelters sampled had Bartonella antibody-free cats. Although abnormal CD4:CD8 ratio was observed in 48/83 seropositive cats, flea infestation was the only significant risk factor observed in this study. Conclusions: The present study provides the first comparison on the Bartonella spp. antigen, antibody status and CD4:CD8 ratio among shelter cats. The high B. henselae seropositivity among shelter cats presumably due to significant flea infestation triggers an alarm of whether the infection could go undetectable and its potential transmission to humans.

적응적 게임활용 척도 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of Adaptive Game Use Scale (AGUS))

  • 본 연구에서는 게임 사용의 부정적 결과에 초점을 둔 선행 연구와 달리, 게임활용의 긍정적 결과로서의 적응적 게임활용도를 측정하는 도구를 개발하고 타당화하였다. 예비조사를 통해 적응적 게임활용 측정 도구를 개발하고, 유층표집을 통해 선정된 전국 중고등학생 600명을 대상으로 본조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 활력 경험, 생활경험 확장, 여가 선용, 몰입 경험, 자긍심 경험, 통제력 경험, 사회적 지지망 유지 및 확장 등 7개의 요인으로 구성되는 척도의 신뢰도와 시간에 걸친 안정성이 확인되었다. 또한, 척도의 구성타당도, 변별타당도, 및 공인타당도를 확인하였다. 게임 연구의 외연 확장과 관련한 본 연구의 시사점과 장래 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

Occupational asthma related to indoor air pollution in a worker at an indoor air gun shooting range: a case report

  • Background: Indoor air pollution can cause and exacerbate asthma. We report a previously undescribed case of occupational asthma related to indoor air pollution in a worker at an indoor air gun shooting range and highlight the potential risk of developing occupational asthma in this environment. Case presentation: A 31-year-old man presented with dyspnea, cough, and sputum and was diagnosed with asthma complicated by pneumonia. Objective evidence of asthma was obtained by performing a methacholine bronchial provocation test. It was suspected that the patient had occupational asthma, which began one month after changing jobs to work within the indoor air gun shooting range. The highest peak expiratory flow (PEF) diurnal variability on working days was 15%, but the highest variation was 24%, with 4 days out of 4 weeks having a variation of over 20% related to workplace exposure. Conversely, the diurnal variability on the rest days was 7%, and no day showed a variation exceeding 20%. The difference in the average PEF between working and rest days was 52 L/min. PEF deterioration during working days and improvement on rest days were noted. Conclusions: The results obtained from the in-depth analysis of the PEF were adequate to diagnose the patient with occupational asthma. Exposure to indoor air pollution and lead and the patient's atopy and allergic rhinitis may have contributed to the development of occupational asthma.

자유단조공법을 통한 중공형 메인샤프트 제조공정에 관한 연구 (Study on Manufacturing Process of Hollow Main Shaft by Open Die Forging)

  • 풍력발전기에서 메인 샤프트는 로터허브와 증속기를 연결하는 중요 부품 중 하나이며 주로 자유단조공법을 통하여 제조된다. 하지만 고 MW급 이상의 메인샤프트는 중량을 감소시키기 위하여 중공형 설계가 이루어지며 주조공법을 이용하여 제조되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 중공형 메인샤프트를 단조공법을 이용하여 생산할 수 있는 제조공정을 개발하는 것이다. 자유단조 공법의 공정설계 방법에 따라 중실형과 중공형 메인샤프트를 제조하기 위한 단조공정을 각각 설계하였다. 설계된 공정의 성형가능성을 확인하기 위하여 온도, 변형률 속도에 따른 유동응력을 열간압축실험을 통하여 구한 후 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 유한요소해석을 통하여 단조업계에서 통상 행해지는 중실형 단조공법의 온도 및 변형률 등의 관리인자와 제안된 중공형단조공법의 인자를 비교하여 성형가능성을 예측하였다. 시제품 제작을 통하여 중공형 형상을 원소재회수율, 내부품질, 형상 및 치수 등에서 높은 생산성으로 제조가 가능함을 확인하였다.
