An optical transmitter, which is a key component of the optical transmission system, converts the electrical signal to optical signal and consists of a high-speed current-pulse driver for laser diode and low-speed feedback loops that stabilize optical power against aging, power supply voltage fluctuations, and ambient temperature changes. In this paper, the power-stabilizing part, which forms the bulk of the optical transmitter circuitry was designed in integrted circuits. Operational amplifiers and reference voltage generation circuits, which were identified as key building blocks for the power-stabilizing feedback loops, were designed and were subsequently verified through HSPICE simulations. The designed operational amplifier consists of a two-stage folded cascode amplifier and class AB output stage, whereas the reference voltage is obtained by bandgap reference circuits. Finally the power-stabilizing circuitry was laid out based on 3\mu$m CMOS design rules for fabrication.

It is a recent trend that mobile communications and PCS are intergrated into the broadband network. Broadband mutlimedia traffic will be transported over the integrated network. In this paper, we propose a connection re-routing method for fast inter-switch hadoffs and dynamic resurce reservation scheme, which is based on the proposed re-routing method, for the ATM-based personal communications network. To reduce the delay for re-routing method, for the ATM-based personal communications network. To reduce the delay for re-routing, the proposed re-routing method is to reserve VPI/VCIs for possible inter-swich handoff calls in advance. Our reservation scheme is to statistically reserve the fixed resources for possible inter-switch handoff calls, according to the QoS of the handoff calls. The simmulation reslts show that our proposed scheme satisfies the required QoS of handoff calls and keep the dropping probability of handoff calls lower than other schemes.

Today, ERP becomes very popular as a vehicle of implementing an integrated information system since this package not only facilitates reengineering but also provides the function of generating consolidated financial statements. Yet a successful introduction strategy on the integrated information system needs to be set up because ERP has weaknesses as well as strengths. The strengths include the prompt reaction to environmental changes, the integrated management of information, the adoption of open systems, and the selection of modules according to functionsl However, the weaknesses of ERP include the provision of only basic functions, the development of package on international standard processes, and possible disadvantages to small and medium-sized firms. This paper is to suggest recommendations on the implementation strategy of ERP as an integrated information system. According to the case study with Firm A that has successfully implemented an ERP package, the most significant advantage of adopting ERP was that Firm A was able to implement an integrated information system for only six months. Finally, this research generates suggestions, such as the importance of the project team structure, the sufficient amount of time for education, and the minimization of the package modification.

In the area of the multimedia computer, the demand for the image processing engineer is large. However, there are not many engineers capable of developing practical systems. To teach practical image processing techniques, we need an intergrated education systems which can efficiently present the image processing theory and, at the same time, provide interactive experiments for the theory presented. In this paper, we propose an integrated education systems for the image processing. It consists of the theory presentation systems and the experiment systems. The theory presentation systems uspports multimedia display functions and HTML. It is tightly integrated with the experiment systems which developed based on the integrated image processing algorithm development system called Hello-vision.

Electromigration is atomic diffusion driven by a momentum transfer from conducting electrons. With every new generation of intergrated circuits, interconnect line widths have been reduced and current densities in the interconnect have become higher. This leads to an increase in the threat to interconnect reliability due to electromigration. In this paper, we simulated stress evolution with changing temperature, duty factor(ratio of on time and pulse time), frequency under pulsed DC condition. As a result, we predict MTF(median time to failure) and found that exponent n is affected by changing temperature, duty factor.

This paper presents a design and implementation of CAD(Computer-Aided Design) system with tools and design environments for IC(Intergrated Circuits)design. The CAD system can be easily installed in various sites with limited resources, since most CAD tools and design environments are available in the public-domain and Unix & X Window-based PC-386 and Workstation is used for the hardware platform. In order to improve the flexibility of the CAD system, objects are defined in the context of tools and environments` and object tables are programmed to describe the integration of CAD tools and design environments. During the execution, tool-objects deal with intertool communication and round-robin mechanism to incrementally control the execution of CAD tools. The IC design of LPC(Linear Predictive Coding) Speech Synthesizer is carried out to find out improvements and bugs of the CAD system.

In this paper, we have developed a Widows 98 version Off-Line Programming System which can simulate a Robot model in 3D Graphics space. The SCARA robot with four joints (FARA SM5)was adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed program. The interface between users and the OLP system in the Widows 98's GUI environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic 1ibraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

This paper presents a numerical model which can predict degree of cement mineral component, such as $C_3S$, $C_2S$, $C_3A$, $C_4AF$ and microstructure of hydrating cement as a function of water to cement ratio, cement particle size distribution, cement mineral components and temperature. In this model cement particles are parked randomly in cell space and hydration process is described using a multi-component intergrated kinetic model. The simulation result of degree of hydration of cement mineral component agrees well with experiment result. The content of cement hydration product, such as CSH and CH can be obtained as an accompanied result during hydration process. By introducing of equal-area projection method, water withdrawl mechanism and contact area among cement particles can be considered in detail. By using proposed method, pore size distribution of hydrating cement is predicted.

The past several years have strongly anticipated the advent of a more integrated system control combining active power and voltage-reactive power controls. This paper presents a new approach to the intergrated system control with primary emphasis on the development of a new control method which combines the conventional economical load dispatching(ELD) and voltage-reactive power controls. The control method, in its fundamental principle, first determines the optimal active power allocation in accordance with the conventional ELD controller. By a proper manipulation of the remaining reactive power sources in the system, the control method then reduces the transmission losses of the system by the adjustment of system voltage distribution and also by the proper allotment of reactive power flows.

본 논문에서는 나노기술을 적용한 압저항형 온 습도복합센서를 개발하여 특성을 평가 분석 하였다. 온도 변화에 대한 출력 감도는 $20{\sim}80^{\circ}C$에 이르는 측정구간에서 약 0.75mV/$1^{\circ}C$의 출력 값을 보였다. 습도 변화에 대한 감도는 약 1.35mV/10%(RH)의 결과를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 결과에 의하여 본 논문에서 개발한 센서는 일반적인 생활 주거 환경에 적용이 가능함을 시사해 준다.
