Stress Function-Based Interlaminar Stress Analysis of Composite Laminates under Complex Loading Conditions (응력함수에 기초한 복합 하중하의 복합재 적층판의 층간응력 해석)

  • Interlaminar stresses near the free edges of composite laminates have been analyzed considering wall effects. Interface modeling of bonding layer was introduced to explain the wall effect. Using Lekhnitskii stress functions and the principle of complementary virtual work, the interlaminar stresses were obtained, which satisfied the traction free boundary conditions not only at the free edges, but also at the top and bottom surfaces of laminates. The interface modeling provides not singular stresses but concentrated finite interlaminar stresses. The significant amount of reductions of stresses at the free edge are observed compared to the results without interface modeling. The real stress state can be predicted accurately and the results demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed interface modeling for the strength design of composite laminates.

  • According to rapid growth of web environment, user interface design needs to support the complex interactions between human and computer. In the paper we suggest the object modeling method for Qualify Improvement of User Interface. We propose the 4 business event's object modeling phases such as business event object modeling, task object modeling, transaction object modeling, and form object modeling to enhance visual cohesion of UI. As a result, this 4 phases in this paper allows us to enhance visual cohesion of User Interface prototype. We have found that the visual cohesion of business events become strong and unskilled designer can develope the qualified user interface prototype. And it also improves understanding of business task and reduces prototype system development iteration.

  • Recently Development of construction system that subjective operators share and control information efficiently based on the three-dimensional space and design information throughout life cycle of construction project is progressing dynamically. In case of civil structures which are infrastructure, Demand for structure of complex system which has multi-functions such as super and smart bridges and express rails is increasing and system development which computerizes and integrates process of structure design is in need. For that, research about link way between three dimensional modeling data and structure analysis programs should be preceded. In this research, therefore, research about interface design between three dimensional virtual modeling data to automate efficient civil-structure-design and nonlinear finite element analysis program which is made up of reinforced concrete material model that express material's character clearly.

  • Research that reconstructs a 3D model from a freehand 2D sketch has gained attention since 1990s, when data integration in the CAD/CAPP/CAM/CNC chain was an important issue. However, 2D sketches in the conceptual design phase have not been integrated with the downstream CAD/CAPP/CAM/CNC chain. In this paper, we present a method to interface a freehand sketch modeling to commercial CAD systems by mapping a sketch modeling history to the macro parametric history. We use an extended ISO10303-112 standard to represent the modeling history in a gestural modeling system and translate sketch files to neutral macro files. Macro parametric translators are used to translate netural macro files to commercial CAD files.

  • User interface is important of programs collaboration. User interface error have a effect in the whole system. As a result, the system reliability will deteriorate. Therefore, we are need to methodology that user interface type is analyze for a reliable analysis in the domain analysis phase. In this paper, we are propose the methodology that extraction and standard of user interface for reliability improvement of domain analysis.

A Study on the Effect of Topside and Interface on Hull in Whole Ship Analysis of Ship Type Offshore Structure (Ship Type 해양 구조물 전선 해석 시 Topside와 Interface가 Hull에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • In the existing whole ship analysis, topside was modeled as mass element. However recently, the topside is modeled as beam element due to the owner's requirement to improve the maturity of the whole ship FE model. To follow the owner'srequirement, detailed information for topside drawing and modeling, which may delay analysis schedule, is needed. However, it is hard to respond effectively to this matter due to the lack of study on the topside from the hull perspective. Therefore in this study, the effect of the topside on the hull is investigated when the topside is modeled as a mass element or beam element respectively. In addition, the interface modeling method is analyzed to verify modeling method used in the existing whole ship analysis. The results indicate that the interface and topside modeling method used in existing whole ship analysis are appropriate. This conclusion will be the technical basis for responding to owner's requirement about the topside modeling method.
