In this paper, we describe an implementation of the B-Link bus interface logic for a directory controller and a remote access cash controller in the SCI-based CC-NUMA multimedia server developed by ETRI . The CC-NUMA multimedia server is composed of a number of Pentium III SHV nodes and a SCI interconnection network. To communicate with remote nodes, each node has a CC-Agent which consists of a processor bus interface(PIF). a directory controller(DC), a remote access cash controller(RC), and two SCI 1ink controllers(LCs). The B-Link bus interface logic is developed for a directory controller and a remote access cash controller in order to communicate with a SCI link controller on a B-Link bus. It consists of a sending master controller a receiving slave controller, and asynchronous data buffers. And It performs a self-arbitration, a data packet transmission, a queue allocation, an early terminal ion. and a cut-through data path.
With the aid of the increasing interests of Context-aware Augmented Reality Agent (AR Agent), various researches of AR Agent have been performed to explore the possibility of the agent as novel interface and the entity responding autonomously by user's input. However, in previous works, AR Agents are lack of specific method for using various contextual information. To revolve around those problems, we propose the Behavior Generation System for Context-aware AR Agent using layered architecture. Based on Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) model and Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) searching, the sequence of agent behavior has been selected in behavior planning layer. Then, the agent evaluates appropriateness of behaviors using previous behavior and the type of input before activation. This behavior generation system can be applied for edutainment, game, and assistant agent, which need intuitive and effective behaviors to convey information. Through this research, we expect that the Context-aware AR Agent could support for not only information delivery, but also the capability of effective communication for user.
In FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) and CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing), machine-tools have been the target of integration in the last three decades. The conventional concept of integration is being changed into the autonomous manufacturing device based on the knowledge evolution by applying advanced information technology in which an open architecture controller, high-speed network and internet technology are included. In the advanced environment, the machine-tools is not the target of integration anymore, but has been the key subject of cooperation. In the near future, machine-tools will be more improved in the form of a knowledge-evolutionary intelligent device. The final goal of this study is to develop an intelligent machine having knowledge-evolution capability and a management system based on internet operability. The knowledge-evolutionary intelligent machine-tools is expected to gather knowledge autonomically, by producing knowledge, understanding knowledge, reasoning knowledge, making a new decision, dialoguing with other machines, etc. The concept of the knowledge-evolutionary intelligent machine is originated from the machine control being operated by human experts' sense, dialogue and decision. The structure of knowledge evolution in M2M (Machine to Machine) and the scheme for a dialogue agent among agent-based modules such as a sensory agent, a dialogue agent and an expert system (decision support agent) are presented in this paper, with intent to develop the knowledge-evolutionary machine-tools. The dialogue agent functions as an interface for inter-machine cooperation. To design the dialogue agent module in an M2M environment, FIPA (Foundation of Intelligent Physical Agent) standard platform and the ping agent based on FIPA are analyzed in this study. In addition, the dialogue agent is designed and applied to recommend cutting conditions and thermal error compensation in a tapping machine. The knowledge-evolutionary machine-tools are expected easily implemented on the basis of this study and shows a good assistance to sensory and decision support agents.

This paper presents a Korean conversational agent system in a mobile environment using natural language processing techniques. The aim of a conversational agent in mobile environment is to provide natural language interface and enable more natural interaction between a human and an agent. Constructing such an agent, it is required to develop various natural language understanding components and effective utterance generation methods. To understand spoken style utterance, we perform morphosyntactic analysis, shallow semantic analysis including modality classification and predicate argument structure analysis, and to generate a system utterance, we perform example based search which considers lexical similarity, syntactic similarity and semantic similarity.
Applying the concept and components of human nature to the conversational agent in the smart home context, this study investigated the effects of the level of anthropomorphism and interaction type on the emotional user experiences and future use intention. The results of experiment study showed that the high-low condition of anthropomorphism and the voice-chatting interaction type have impacts on the perceived closeness, likability, and future use intention. That is, people evaluate the conversational agent as more close, likable, and useful when they perceive more human nature components and when in the voice interaction mode. Psychological resistance was lower in the voice than in the chatting mode regardless of the level of anthropomorphism. The results also demonstrated an interaction effect of anthropomorphism and interaction type on the future use intention: the effect of anthropomorphism existed only in the voice interaction mode. It leads to the conclusion that a conversational agent with the voice recognition interface should be designed with the higher level of human nature components for the continuous use.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of copal varnish and five bonding agents(Scotchbond Multi-Purpose Plus Dental Adhesive System, Panavia 21, All Bond 2, Superbond D-Liner II plus, Fuji Duet) in reducing microleakage under amalgam restorations. Class V cavity were prepared on both buccal and lingual surface of sixty extracted human molars with cementum margin and were filled with different kinds of liners and amalgam. All teeth were stored at $37^{\circ}C$ in physiologic saline solution. After 1 week they were thermally stressed for 500 cycles between 5 and $55^{\circ}C$ in baths containing 0.5 % basic fuchsin dye. The dye penetrations were observed with a stereomicroscope. Scanning electron micrographs were taken of representative tooth sections from each group to assess the nature of the tooth/liner/amalgam interface. The statistical test were applied to the results using a one way analysis variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's multiple range test. The results were as follows ; 1. In all groups, the enamel margin showed significantly lower leakage value than the cementum margin (p<0.05). 2. At the dentin and enamel margins, the leakage value of Copalite-lined group showed significantly higher than that of no liner group (p<0.05), but showed significantly lower than that of bonding agent lined-groups (p<0.05). 3. There was no significant difference between the bonding agent lined-groups (p>0.05). 4. On the backscattered scanning electron microscopy observation, discontinuous gaps were observed between amalgam and dentin in the bonding agent-lined amalgam restorations and the bonding agents appeared to fill the gap space and were mixed with amalgam particles. At the amalgam/tooth interface, unsealed dentin and continuous gaps were found in both unlined and Copalite-lined restorations.

Advanced Intelligent Network(AIN) and X.500 directory service have similarity in between. X.500 capabilities and the requirements for the Service Control Function(SCF) to Service Data Function(SDF) in AIN. As an interface, SCF can be mapping as a Directory User Agent(DUA) and SDF can be mapping as a Directory System Agent(DSA). Based on the concepts, X.500 directory can be applied to AIN. In this paper we suggest to apply the X.500 DSP to the SDF/SDF interface to perform a distribution function. Also we show that the SCF-SDF/SDF-SDF relationship can be possible under applying X.500 DAP/DSP within the set of Capability Set 1 (CS1),CS2 and CS3. Finally, based on the above contents, we introduce the designed schematic of AIN SDF Server System for a distributed processing in AIN and design the X.500 schema of Universal Personal Telecommunication(UPT) service for supporting AIN SDF Server.

Although ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin (${\beta}$-CD) has been used as medicine, agrichemical, food, cosmetic, antioxidant, anti-volatile agent, anti-hygroscopic agent, fading-protecting agent, and emulsifier due to its ability to form inclusion complex by enclosing another molecule (guest molecule), it has been restricted in practical application because of its low solubility in water and organic solvent. In this study, ${\beta}$-CD derivative as a new polyol with inclusion characteristics against Bisphenol A and cyclopropane, foaming agent for polyurethane (PU), and with improved solubility was synthesized, characterized and used to formulate rigid PU foam with better thermal conductivity and compressive strength compared to that from commercial polyols.

The most representative research network in Korea, KREONET, has developed DynamicKL, an advance reservation based Network Service Agent (NSA) for user driven virtual circuit services. DynamicKL provides reservation, provisioning, release, termination, and inquiry web services for network resources by using an open standard network service interface (NSI), as well as web services for network resources by using a GUI interface. In addition, it has the RICE interface to support a protection management function per VC for virtual circuits and reservations. In this article, a protection management per VC for provisioned VCs and reservations is addressed in the DynamicKL framework, as a contribution to the VC protection management issue, which results in more manageable and reliable VC services compared to other advance reservation frameworks. An administrator can detect successful or unsuccessful VC protections in the event of a primary link failure and successful or unsuccessful VC retrievals after a primary link repair, by using RICE.
Epoxy composites filled with natural zeolite was prepared to investigate the effects of silane coupling agent, ${\gamma}$-APS (${\gamma}$-aminopropyltriethoxysilane)on the surface free energy, tensile properties and interfacial morphology. The value of Lifshitz-van der Waals component, ${\gamma}{\frac{LW}{SV}}$ for polar was $19.22mJ/m^2$ and increased, while that of Lewis acid-base component, ${\gamma}{\frac{AB}{SV}}$ for polar was $15.27mJ/m^2$ and decreased with the increasing content of ${\gamma}$-APS treatment. It is due that the surface of the zeolite is more coated by hydrophobic of alkyl group than hydrophilic amine or hydroxyl group. The tensile strength and Young's modulus of epoxy system were improved by the treatment with ${\gamma}$-APS due to the strong interface bonding, which was confirmed by SEM.
