  • This study was conducted on 2016 $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ grade middle school students in order to investigate of their perceptions and needs on sewing practice class, which had been experienced during their $6^{th}$ grade elementary school year. Implications and improvement for sewing practice class to be drawn from this study. The findings are as follows: Firstly, the levels of satisfaction with the practice contents and teaching learning method were higher than the median value(3.00). Among the subareas of class evaluation, participation scored the highest average, followed by interest, difficulty, necessity, importance, and utilization. In the entire subareas, girl students have more positive perceptions on sewing practice classes than boy students. Secondly, satisfaction with the practice contents has an effect on all subareas of class evaluation. The satisfaction with the teaching learning method has an effect on participation, interest, importance and utilization. Lastly, as for the practice contents, they would prefer household items and ornament, and want to choose sizes freely. As for students' needs for a new teaching learning method through which students are allowed to freely make objects or create works through a group activity, it was higher than the median value. This study showed that practice contents and teaching learning method are important factors that affect class evaluation. This study suggested that sewing practice class should be conducted freely choosing of practice contents, making the group works, group or student-led activities. If sewing practice class is designed in consideration of the results and students' needs for class, students' perceptions on class is expected to change in a positive way.

  • In this study, 594 questionnaires administered to men and women residing in the capital metropolitan area who work night shifts were analyzed in order to study the effect of health information cognition on healing needs in accordance with the type of food selection criteria of the night worker. The results of confirmatory factor analysis in deriving food selection type identified four categories, a safety seeking type, a food exploratory type, a habitual seeking type, and a rational type, and the cognition types on health information were classified into physical cognition and psychological cognition. The need for healing, which was the investigated factor, was found to have a high correlation between questionnaire items with high reliable consistency. The results of this study were as follows. First, the food selection types of safety seeking type and habitual food seeking type had significant positive effects on the cognitive level of physical health information, and food exploratory type and habitual seeking type had significant positive effects on the cognitive level of psychological health information. In addition, it was shown that food exploratory type and rational type had significant positive effects on healing needs. As a result of this study, it was found that the cognition level of physical and psychological information was different according to food selection type, and the higher the cognitive level, the higher the healing needs. In particular, the result that the level of psychological health information significantly affected healing needs signifies that there is a demand to develop programs and menus that satisfy various needs related to healing and recovery from fatigue. In addition, further interest and study on the health and healing of night workers are required.

  • In this paper, we investigate the determinant factors of performance of global standardization experts in their standardization activities. Standards experts of various nationalities were surveyed to assess incentives that may positively influence the performance of standards professionals. As a basis for this study, we make three main assumptions. First, incentives can be important determinant factors of performance among standards experts. Second, standardization is in the public interest, insofar as the efficiency gains resulting from standardization benefit society as a whole. Third, based on this assumption that standardization is in the public interest, we propose that performance determinants for standardization activities tend to be non-monetary in nature rather than monetary. We find that, in order to improve performance among international standards experts, a better understanding of their aspirations and needs must be gained so that appropriate incentives may be proposed to them. Our analysis reveals that the two most important determinant factors of performance are the recognition of the professional status of international standards experts, and an environment providing support systems to help them perform to their fullest potential.

  • Pricing information services, where congestion can threaten the efficient operation of information systems, has been studied in economics and information systems literature, Recent explosion of the Internet ana proliferation of multimedia content over the Internet have rekindled the research interest in designing pricing schedules for differentiated information services, In order for the information system to effectively serve users having heterogeneous needs, pricing rules for discriminated services should be considered. At the same time, when individual users' interest does not align with that of the organization that individual users belong to, organization-wide pricing policy should be devised to improve the value of the services rendered by the system. This paper, using a priority queuing model, addresses the need for such on incentive-compatible pricing for different information services.

  • In this paper, made was a study on a mesh generation method based on the pollution error. This method is designed for the control of the pollution error in any patch of elements of interest. It is a well-known fact that the pollution error estimates are much more than the local one. When the pollution error is significant, nothing can be said about the reliability of any estimator based on local computations in the patch. Reliable a posteriori error estimation is possible by controlling the pollution error in the patch through proper design of the mesh outside the patch. This design is possible by equally distributing the pollution error indicators over the mesh outside the patch. The mesh generated from the conventional feedback pollution-adaptive mesh generation algorithm needs many iterations. Therefore, the solution time is significant. But the remeshing scheme in the proposed method was used here. It was shown that the pollution-adaptive mesh improves the E.I., simply denoted as Effectivity Index, on the patch of interest, and the pollution error reduces less than the local error.

  • Recently the needs for education on Statistics is growing bigger, but a mathematics-oriented education makes college students loose interest in Statistics. On the hypothesis that motivating interest is the key factor for learning, we need to develop an education tool for Statistics that makes learners to study independently but throughly. By using Excel Macro, we develop and introduce add-in program, called PETS, which supplies not only results but also process to get them.

  • As a result of the globalization of diseases and the delivery of health care, physicians today are required to understand global health (GH) including the global burden of disease, health inequities, and effective medical aid. Interest in GH among medical students has also increased significantly. To meet these needs and to reflect an increasing focus on social accountability in medical education, global health education (GHE) programs have already been well-established, particularly in North America. Korea's official developmental aid (ODA) volume almost tripled from 2006 to 2011. Korea has committed to double its ODA/gross national income ratio over the next three years. With these increases, interest in GH among medical students has significantly increased. Despite significant interest among medical students, GHE programs have not been properly established in Korea. To develop GHE programs in Korea, proposed GHE curriculum frameworks were reviewed and core values, guiding principles, and GH competencies were identified in the context of the current literature. To identify key themes essential to the development of GHE programs in Korea, the curriculum frameworks should be focused on a global context and should be taught from the perspective of the social, political, and economic causes of ill health.

  • There has been a massive increase in household debt in China, especially in the last five of years. Learning from past experiences, the country needs careful forecasting that may help to form new policies or make amendments to the existing ones. This research paper aims to highlight the impact of the monetary policy on household debt in China. The study covers the time period from 1996 to 2020 The study employs a cointegration test, Autoregressive Distributed Lag Bound Test (ARDL) approach, a Augmented Dicky Fuller (ADF) and PP test (PMG) and time series data. The findings suggest on a quantitative analysis using a time-series model in which gdp per capita and interest rate has a positive impact on household debt whereas, cpi doesn't have significant impact. In a short-term variables relationship, household debt responds more to an increase in income than in the long-term. Also, the impact of interest rate changes on household debt is lower than income in the short run.The research suggests that there should be some restrictions on household debt and consumer financing provided to citizens and for this, appropriate leverage measures should be taken in order for the central bank to sustain robust macroeconomic conditions.

  • One noticeable thing about the recently opened 'Starfield Hanam' and 'Hyundai Department Store (Pangyo)' is consumer's interest and positive response to their hosted food brands ranging from restaurants, dessert cafes and coffee shops. Department store and shopping complex, so-called aggregation of lifestyle are making the most out of food brands as a differentiation strategy and consumer's interest on it act as a barometer for current consumption trend. Along with the high interest on food market, changes in lifestyle, such as increasing ratio of two or less households, advent of multiple communication channels as SNS, deluge of information and gradually developing individualism, are creating needs for convenient but high quality eating culture. This need contributed in transforming the product family which was once famous as 'Instant Food' into a 'Home Meal Replacement (HMR)'. Since local food companies are striving to keep pace with the trend and actively penetrating HMR market, regardless of long-term recession, the Korean domestic food market is steadily growing with a bright future.
