This study conducted a case study using various platforms centered on a tennis game to examine what forms the movements of a game player had when they were abstracted in the game. In particular, it summarized the forms of the player's experience that could be attained from the abstracted tennis actions into the 4 types: movement, swing, direction & intensity, and skill; and observed and schematized them in the early video games, console games, mobile games, Gesture recognition games, and wearable games. In conclusion, the development of technology offers the players with greater experience. For example the change of the platform of simple games of pressing buttons into swinging. Furthermore, the study found a consistency in the context even though the difference of action was slightly found by the interface.
Frank O. Gehry is known to be an architect whose work ranges over different realms, especially between fine arts and architecture. He himself mentioned about this interdisciplinary aspect of his own work: he was inspired by, worked together with, and sometimes directly influenced by contemporary artists. Among the artists, the most influential ones are the sculptors, especially Richard Serra of Post-Minimalism and Claes Oldenburg of Pop Art. Based on this historically known fact, although very brief, this study explores how the features of Post-Minimal sculpture were transferred into Gerhy's architecture, and how Gehry has developed them into his own language. In Post-Minimal sculpture, the main concept 'Anti-Form' was realized by emphasis on materiality, process and intuitiveness of work of in. Those features appeared vividly in Gehry's works especially in his second stage of his life, but seemed to have disappeared in the third stage. However, in the fourth stage, Gehry went beyond the influence of Post-Minimalism, and he created very unique formal language dialectically formed between Post-Minimal sculptural language and his architectural language.

Groupware is a new emerging research field, involving increasing numbers of institutions in the USA, Europe, and Asia such as Korea and Japan, etc., as an interdisciplinary research and development area with a strong computer science component. It grew from fairly unsystematic attempts by various developers to generate software that would increase the competence of people working together. This in turn was partly a response to: failures of and problems inherited from Office Automation and Management Information System ; some sociological intuitions about ways people might work together; and a search for uses of new interfacing, networking, and multi-media technologies. In this paper, groupware that has been configured to meet the needs of groups at work is defined as computer-based systems which support working groups of people engaged in common task in a shared environment. The basic concepts, origin, and historic research of the groupware are described. Specially, groupware relies on the approaches and contributions of many disciplines in computer science as well as sociology that is concerning human, social, and cultural activities. So, nine key disciplines of them upon which successful groupware depends are described briefly. Some state-of-the-art implementations and developments are reviewed through classifying and analyzing the current available groupware applications in the field or market.

Global effort has resulted in tremendous progress with energy harvesters that extract mechanical energy from ambient sources, convert it to electrical energy, and use it for systems such as wrist watches, mobile electronic devices, wireless sensor nodes, health monitoring, and biosensors. However, harvesting a single energy source only still pauses a great challenge in driving sustainable and maintenance-free monitoring and sensing devices. Over the last few years, research on high-performance mechanical energy harvesters at the micro and nanoscale has been directed toward the development of hybrid devices that either aim to harvest mechanical energy in addition to other types of energies simultaneously or to exploit multiple mechanisms to more effectively harvest mechanical energy. Herein, we appraise the rational designs for multiple energy harvesting, specifically state-of-the-art hybrid mechanical energy harvesters that employ multiple piezoelectric and triboelectric mechanisms to efficiently harvest mechanical energy. We identify the critical material parameters and device design criteria that lead to high-performance hybrid mechanical energy harvesters. Finally, we address the future perspectives and remaining challenges in the field.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the current state and trends of health-related research on foreign migrants living in Korea. Methods: Among 85 articles identified via PubMed and RISS and additional 7 articles by ancestry search, 28 were selected for the review. Two authors independently reviewed the articles using a literature review matrix and examined together the three aspects of the studies: research methods, research topics, and research results. Results: Most of the articles were published between 2005-2009, and only 3 studies used an interdisciplinary approach. Most were exploratory and there were 4 intervention studies: three of them examined the effect of an art therapy on acculturative stress and mental health among marriage migrant women. The lack of information on informed consent, approval of institutional review board, and the validity/reliability of the translated instruments were noted. Conclusions: Research is needed to examine migrants' health behaviors, the prevalence of chronic illness among migrants, and the influence of acculturation on the use of health resources, health behaviors, and health status. Researchers should be aware of ethnic issues when they work with foreign migrants.
This essay aims to examine Korean motion picture policy on the government censorship system from Jacques Derrida's thought associated with sense of ethics. Korean motion picture policy has focused on protection of domestic films to achieve a national goal from military dictatorship regime, so-called people unification or social stability. It also aimed to spread propaganda for despotic government. Thus, the government keeps tight control over all motion picture policy. It restricts not only freedom of choosing movies but also creativity from artist. Derrida used to talk about the justice and violence law. Derrida's thought is connected with the ethical consideration. This research concerned about the violence within film censorship policy of Korean government and explore possibilities of ethical censorship policy from Derrida's perspectives.
In this study, we propose a miniaturized micro-ceramic heater device. After screen-printing a silver paste between pre-sintered two aluminum oxide plates to integrate a heating circuit, the device was fabricated through a low-temperature sintering process. In order to configure the optimal heating circuit integration condition, the output current evaluation and heating test were performed according to the number of screen prints of the silver paste at various voltages. A silver paste-based heating circuit printed with a line width of 200 ㎛ and a thickness of 60 ㎛ was successfully integrated on a pre-sintered alumina substrate through a low-temperature sintering process. In the case of the 5 times printed device, the thermal response showed a response rate of 18.19 ℃/sec. To demonstrate feasibility of the proposed device in the medical field, such as bio-tissue suturing and hemostasis, a voltage was applied to pig tissue in the device to test tissue change due to heat generated from the device. These results show the possibility that the proposed small ceramic heater could be used in the medical field based on its excellent temperature response.

Deep learning techniques provide powerful solutions to several pattern-recognition problems, including Raman spectral classification. However, these networks require large amounts of labeled data to perform well. Labeled data, which are typically obtained in a laboratory, can potentially be alleviated by data augmentation. This study investigated various data augmentation techniques and applied multiple deep learning methods to Raman spectral classification. Raman spectra yield fingerprint-like information about chemical compositions, but are prone to noise when the particles of the material are small. Five augmentation models were investigated to build robust deep learning classifiers: weighted sums of spectral signals, imitated chemical backgrounds, extended multiplicative signal augmentation, and generated Gaussian and Poisson-distributed noise. We compared the performance of nine state-of-the-art convolutional neural networks with all the augmentation techniques. The LeNet5 models with background noise augmentation yielded the highest accuracy when tested on real-world Raman spectral classification at 88.33% accuracy. A class activation map of the model was generated to provide a qualitative observation of the results.

This paper attempts a close-reading of Michel Ocelot's short animation film, (1979), and proposes it as an available text in art appreciation class for young students. stimulates the students' attention and intellectual curiosity thanks to the exotic and fantastic atmosphere, beautiful mise en scene, and intriguing plot. Ocelot's technique of decoupage used in this film rejuvenates both the traditional folk art and Lotte Reiniger's early experiments in the history of animation film. Ocelot subverts the ideal of modern male adult subject as unique possessor of scientific knowledge and technology, by adopting a female figure and a young child, who is also female, as main characters. The imaginative and subversive power of animation contributes to creating posthuman beings beyond the homocentric figure of Vitruvian Man. The posthuman condition supposes that human beings have the equal relationship of continuum with not only other humans but also non-human beings like all living things and inanimate matters. In order to teach and learn the posthuman condition, it is necessary to conceive an interdisciplinary and integrated curriculum including art, science, philosophy, history, and social sciences. Animation film serves excellently as educational text for the integrated curriculum of the posthuman.
