Ubiquitous Context-aware Modeling and Multi-Modal Interaction Design Framework (유비쿼터스 환경의 상황인지 모델과 이를 활용한 멀티모달 인터랙션 디자인 프레임웍 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we proposed Context Cube as a conceptual model of user context, and a Multi-modal Interaction Design framework to develop ubiquitous service through understanding user context and analyzing correlation between context awareness and multi-modality, which are to help infer the meaning of context and offer services to meet user needs. And we developed a case study to verify Context Cube's validity and proposed interaction design framework to derive personalized ubiquitous service. We could understand context awareness as information properties which consists of basic activity, location of a user and devices(environment), time, and daily schedule of a user. And it enables us to construct three-dimensional conceptual model, Context Cube. Also, we developed ubiquitous interaction design process which encloses multi-modal interaction design by studying the features of user interaction presented on Context Cube.

  • As web-based programming tools(such as flash action script, javascript, java and etc.) has been improved and it has become more aware to take interactivity importantly as users' whole experience, web sites have evolved from the form of webzine to the form of interactive application that displays more interactive interface and gives instant feedbacks for the users' inputs. Web, rather than software, is used to execute relatively easy tasks by users of various levels, so that web sites could give more fun and less cognitive burden by supporting users' tasks in more interactive way. This paper examined design strategies to make more interactive web by figuring out definition of web interaction as users' experience and by analyzing web interaction design trends from cases of interactive web sites. The ultimate objective of this paper is show how design strategies can be adapted in the web interaction design process. Thus, case study of designing interactive bookshell in E-book site was done and is demonstrating one way of adapting strategies to design web interaction.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the educational effectiveness of interaction design in mobile APP by observing the impact of interaction design for elementary school education on enhancing learning immersion and continuous use intention, and propose an interaction design scheme based on elementary school education APP. The research methods are literature research and questionnaire survey. Specifically, through the literature research method, the concepts and prior studies on the concept, reviews the continuous use intention and previous research of interaction design. Then, conducts a questionnaire survey on elementary school students in South Korea and China to understand the interaction design, learning immersion, and continuous use intention, and analyzes the relationship between variables.The research result of this study is to observe the influence of interaction design elements within interaction on learning immersion and continuous use intention with elementary school students who are users of elementary school education application as the objects. The results show that interaction design within interaction has a positive impact on improving learning immersion and continuous use intention. It can be thought that this is because in mathematics/science education, it is easy to understand theoretical concepts or explanations, and stories and images will be continued at each stage to help students learn without being bored.In conclusion, this study can confirm that interactive inline design has a positive effect of enabling learners to engage in learning and continue to use.
