  • Continuous use of SNS with having SNS fatigue influences users mentally as well as physically. Although it is reported that they eventually leave SNS due to experience of fatigue, the determinants of SNS fatigue have not been discovered yet. Thus this study aims to find the psychological factors causing SNS fatigue. This study (1) found out the factors causing SNS fatigue, and (2) explored the relationships between the factors and intentions to discontinue/continue to use SNS. Findings of the study suggested that there are seven types of determinants: Sense of relative deprivation, Relationship concern, Management burden, Information overload, Privacy concern, Reputation concern(after posting), Reputation concern(before posting). It is also found that sense of relative deprivation negatively predicted the intention to keep using SNS while management burden, reputation concern(before posting) predicted positively. Furthermore, the sense of relative deprivation and information overload positively predicted the intention to discontinue using SNS while reputation concern(before posting) predicted negatively. This research examined how the determinants of SNS fatigue affect the intentions to keep/stop using SNS from the two different points of view. The determinants of SNS fatigue experienced by SNS viewers influenced them to have intentions to stop using it, whereas those felt by SNS writers affected them to keep using it.

  • This study conducted a questionnaire survey on SNS users who are conducting K-POP record collection activities using SNS and verified factors affecting the intention to continue K-POP record collection activities. The main methods of analysis were exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and path analysis using SPSS 21.0 program and AMOS 21.0 program. The results are summarized as follows. First, compatibility for K-POP record collection activities through SNS has a positive effect on perceived usefulness, and observability also has a positive effect on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Second, perceived ease of use for K-POP records collection using SNS has a positive effect on perceived usefulness. Third, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use for K-POP records collection using SNS have a positive effect on continuous intention of K-POP records collection activity through SNS. As a result of this study, it suggests that the intention to continue the collection activities of K-POP records using SNS can be explained through the integration of innovation diffusion theory and technology acceptance model.

  • Generally speaking, user behavior in the post-adoption period is different from that in the pre-adoption period. Users come to make on their experiences of IT use whether they will continue to use it or not. Most theories about the user behaviors in the pre-adoption period are limited in describing them after adoption since they do not consider user's experiences of using the adopted IT and the beliefs formed by those experiences. Therefore, in this study, we explore user's experiences and beliefs such as familiarity, satisfaction and habits in the post-adoption period and examine how they affect user's intention to continue in using Mobile Social Network Service. Through literature reviews, we proposed the conceptual model to explain the role of users' habits in continuance of IT post-adoption stage. Then, we examine the impact of the constructs to affect the intention to continue using the Mobile SNS. The results show that the intention to continue to use Mobile SNS is strongly influenced by users' habits, satisfaction and familiarity; users' habits is strongly influenced by satisfaction and familiarity; satisfaction is strongly influenced by familiarity.

  • Social networking services (SNSs) serve to strengthen people's social relationships by providing ways for people to utilize such relationships especially like workplace. With the development of the internet worldwide, the number of SNS users is rapidly growing and a wider range of service types have become available. In this study, we designed a research model with a focus on what makes people use SNSs at workplace and how it is associated with changes in relationship quality and their intention to continue using the services and analyzed data collected for the research model. Theoretically, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation was invoked and measured, in terms of hedonic and utilitarian values, and satisfaction and trust were adopted as variables of relationship quality. Data were collected from Facebook users using workplace, and a partial least squares (PLS) analysis was made on 188 data points. The analysis results showed that two forms of motivation-hedonic and utilitarian-are separated from each other in their influence and that utilitarian value is more important than hedonic value, especially when it comes to users' satisfaction. In addition, the analysis found a weak relationship between satisfaction and trust in SNS environments; this was a little different from the results of previous studies.

  • This study is an empirical analysis on the relationship between social presence and online community users' continuance intention. Based on Bhattacherjee(2001)'s expectation-confirmation model (ECM) of IT continuance model, we test the influence of social presence on one's intention to continue using online communities. This study sampled 132 online community users. Research hypotheses are tested using the structural equation modelling(SEM) approach. The results of this study demonstrate that user satisfaction is influenced by perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. But, the confirmation of expectation did not affect user satisfaction. And, social presence has direct effects on perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. Further, social presence has a positive effect on users' continuance intention through mediating effect of perceived usefulness. This study suggests that perceived usefulness should be taken into account when carrying out the operating strategy of online communities.

As a result of the analysis, first, the ability to utilize media contents in digital capacity has a positive impact on the intention to sustain economic activity, and that the higher the ability to utilize the latest digital media contents such as SNS, the more likely the intention to sustain economic activity.
