Introduction of a Fast Substitute Wavelet Intensity Method to Pan-sharpening Technique

  • Recently, $Gonz\acute{a}lez-Aud\acute{i}cana$ et al. proposed the substitute wavelet intensity(SWI) method which provided a solution based on the intensity-hue-saturation(IHS) method for the fusing of panchromatic(PAN) and multispectral(MS) images. Although the spectral quality of the fused MS images is enhanced, this method is not efficient enough to quickly merge massive volumes of data from satellite. To overcome this problem, we introduce a new SWI method based on a fast IHS transform to implement efficiently as an alternative procedure. In addition, we show that the method is well applicable for fusing IKONOS PAN with MS images.

  • The knowledge on the number of necessary and collectable reflections for the crystal structure analysis is greatly helpful in choosing the conditions for X-ray intensity data collection using automatic four circle diffractometer. In this paper, we represent a method to calculate the total unmber of collectable intensity date in an asymmetric unit.

Land cover classification using LiDAR intensity data and neural network

  • LiDAR technology is a combination of laser ranging, satellite positioning technology and digital image technology for study and determination with high accuracy of the true earth surface features in 3 D. Laser scanning data is typically a points cloud on the ground, including coordinates, altitude and intensity of laser from the object on the ground to the sensor (Wehr & Lohr, 1999). Data from laser scanning can produce products such as digital elevation model (DEM), digital surface model (DSM) and the intensity data. In Vietnam, the LiDAR technology has been applied since 2005. However, the application of LiDAR in Vietnam is mostly for topological mapping and DEM establishment using point cloud 3D coordinate. In this study, another application of LiDAR data are present. The study use the intensity image combine with some other data sets (elevation data, Panchromatic image, RGB image) in Bacgiang City to perform land cover classification using neural network method. The results show that it is possible to obtain land cover classes from LiDAR data. However, the highest accurate classification can be obtained using LiDAR data with other data set and the neural network classification is more appropriate approach to conventional method such as maximum likelyhood classification.

일본 기상청 계측진도의 국내 활용 (Application of the JMA instrumental intensity in Korea)

  • 계기에 의한 진도산정은 보통 PGA와 진도와의 경험적인 관계식으로부터 계산되어 왔다. 그러나 일본 기상청은 지진에 의한 피해의 정도는 관측된 PGA보다는 진도와 상관이 더 크다는 점에 착안하여, 지진 계측기에 의해 실시간으로 진도를 산정(JMA 계측 진도)함으로서 지진재해를 좀 더 정확히 평가하는 방안을 채택하고 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 국내에서의 JMA 계측진도의 실제적인 활용방안을 제시하는 것이다. 한반도는 강진의 발생빈도가 낮기 때문에 사용할 수 있는 강진자료가 충분치 않다. 따라서 한반도의 지진원 특성과 감쇠특성에 맞는 강진동을 추계학적인 방법으로 합성하였다. 이러한 방법으로 합성된 강진자료에 대하여 JMA 계측진도를 포함한 6개의 공학적 지진동 상수들을 계산하였다. 다음으로 계산된 상수들 사이의 경험적인 관계식을 결정하였으며, 이 상수들을 몇 개의 그룹으로 분류하기 위한 군집분석을 수행하여 지진동 상수들을 분류하였다. 그 결과, JMA 가속도 ($a_0$)는 스펙트럼 진도와 유사한 그룹으로 분류되었으며, CAV(Cumulative Absolute Velocity)와는 비교적 관계가 먼 그룹으로 나타났다. JMA 계측진도는 지진재해 평가에 있어서 다른 하나의 평가척도로서 사용이 기능할 것으로 생각된다. 한편 지진재해의 예측에 활용이 가능한 PGA와 $a_0$에 대한 감쇠식이 모멘트 규모와 진원거리의 함수로 유도되었다.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop an experimental technique to measure the in-plane vibration intensity of a plate. In order to measure the in-plane vibration intensity at a data point, the frequency response functions for the 2 components of an acceleration vector are measured at each point of 4 points in the neighborhood of the data point. This experimental technique has been implemented to measure the in-plane vibration intensity of a plate. The experimental result has been compared with a theoretical result. It showed that the experimental technique can be effectively used to measure the in-plane vibration intensity of plates.

차량 자력탐사에서 차량의 영향의 제거 (Elimination of car's magnetic effect as noise in a car-borne magnetic exploration system)

  • 차량이 자력계를 끌면서 자기장을 측정하는 자력탐사시스템에서 차량 자체가 발생하는 잡음으로서의 자기장을 제거하기 위한 실험을 하였다. 차량 자체의 잔류자기 및 유도자기를 추출하기 위하여, 먼저 자력계를 고정된 점에 두고 차량을 이동하면서 자기장을 측정하였고, 이 자료로부터 차량을 고정된 점에 두고 자력계를 이동하면서 측정한 자료로 만들었으며, 후자의 자료로부터 역산을 통하여 차량 자체의 잔류자기 및 유도자기를 계산하였다. 한편, 차량 자력탐사시스템으로 측정한 각 측점의 자료로부터, 역산으로부터 계산한 차량 자체의 잔류자기 및 유도자기에 의해 발생하는 잡음으로서의 영향을 벡터적으로 제거 즉, 보정하여 자력이상을 추출하였다.

조리유형별 메뉴의 노동강도 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Measuring the Labor Intensity of Menus according to Various Cooking Types)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the labor intensity of menus according to various cooking types. Through a literature review and in-depth interview, the attributes that affected the labor intensity were identified as the level of skill, amount of effort, degree of tiredness, time consumed, and machine usage. A survey was conducted in April, 2001 among cooks who Dew the entire process of cooking. There was a strong positive correlation between labor intensity and labor intensity attributes. Through regression analysis, a regression equation was obtained between labor intensity and labor intensity attributes. The labor intensity index calculated from this study showed the extent of labor intensity of menus. The result of this study could be used as basic data for foodservice manager to establish a menu planning and work schedule based on a scientific method.

춘천시에서 발생한 산사태 유발강우의 특성 분석 (Characteristics of Rainfall Thresholds for the Initiation of Landslides at Chuncheon Province)

  • Every year, particularly during the monsoon rainy season, landslides at the Chuncheon province of South Korea cause tremendous damage to lives, properties, and infrastructures. More so, the high rainfall intensity and long rainfall days that occurred in 2020 have increased the water content in the soil, thereby increasing the chances of landslide occurrences. Besides this, the rainfall thresholds and characteristics responsible for the initiation of landslides in this region have not been properly identified. Therefore, this paper addresses the rainfall thresholds responsible for the initiation of landslides at Chuncheon from a regional perspective. Using data obtained from rainfall measurements taken from 2002 to 2011, we identify a threshold relationship between rainfall intensity and rainfall duration for the initiation of landslides. In addition, we identify the relationship between the rainfall intensity using a 3-day, 7-day, and 10-day antecedent rainfall observation. Specifically, we estimate the rainfall data at 8 sites where debris flow occurred in 2011 by kriging. Following this, the estimated data are used to construct the relationship between the intensity (I), duration (D), and frequency (F) of rainfall. The results of the intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) analysis show that landslides will occur under a rainfall frequency below a 2-year return period at two areas in Chuncheon. These results will be effectively used to design structures that can prevent the occurrence of landslides in the future.

동물 가죽과 모피 소재의 패션제품 구매행동에 영향을 미치는 개인의 도덕철학과 지각된 도덕적 강도의 매개 역할 (The Indirect Effects of Personal Moral Philosophy and the Mediating Role of Perceived Moral Intensity in the Purchase Behavior of Fashion Products made of Animal Skin and Fur)

  • This study examines how idealism and relativism, which are the two dimensions of personal moral philosophy, and the perceived moral intensity affect the purchase behavior of consumers regarding fashion items made of animal skin and fur. Data were collected through an online survey, and data from 372 Korean female consumers were statistically analyzed, excluding questionnaires with non-response, insincere responses, and outliers. The data analysis using structural equation models showed a significant effect of idealism but a non-significant effect of relativism on perceived moral intensity concerning the purchase of real leather and fur fashion items. In a structural equation model for each fashion item, perceived moral intensity had a negative effect on purchase behavior. The indirect effect of idealism on purchase behavior through the perceived moral intensity was confirmed to be statistifically significant for each fashion item. However, neither idealism nor relativism had a direct effect on the purchase behavior of both fashion items. The research results were discussed from an academic perspective and practical implications were presented.
