A.C. Servo System Using Fuzzy-Neural Network and PLL (퍼지-신경회로망과 PLL을 이용한 교류서보시스템)

  • In this paper, we proposed the hybrid intelligent control method for fast response time and precise speed control of the AC Servo system. The proposed system first used the fuzzy-neural network control methods for fast response time and when the error reaches the preset value, used the PLL control method. In order to verify the advantage of he proposed method, the system is implemented. The results of the simulation and the experiment of speed control to use the 3-phase induction motor as a plant, we verified excellency of the proposed control method to compare with the conventional fuzzy-neural network control method.

  • This paper proposes a vehicle trajectory prediction method for application to vehicle-to-vehicle distance control. This method is based on 2-dimensional kinematics and a Kalman filter has been used to estimate acceleration of the object vehicle. The simulation results using the proposed control method show that the relative distance characteristics can be improved via the trajectory prediction method compared to the customary vehicle stop and go cruise control systems which makes the vehicle remain at a safe distance from a preceding vehicle according to the driver's preference, automatically slow down and come to a full stop behind a preceding vehicle.

  • It is well-known that bio-systems does not calculate inverse dynamics for trajectory planning, but they move by proper modulation of system impedances. Inspired by bio-systems, a biomimetic trajectory planning method is proposed in this work. This scheme is based on employment of redundant actuation which prevails in bio-systems. We discuss that for the generation of the biomimetic trajectory, intelligent structure of bio-systems plays an important role. Redundant actuation and kinematic redundancy fall into such a category of intelligent structure. The proposed biomimetic trajectory planning modulates the complete dynamic behavior such as natural frequencies and damping ratios by using the intelligent structure. Experimental work is illustrated to show the effectiveness of the proposed biomimetic trajectory planning for a five-bar mechanism with redundant actuators.

  • The yo-yo system has been introduced as an interesting plant to demonstrate the effectiveness of intelligent controllers. Having nonlinear and asymmetric characteristics, the yo-yo plant requires a controller quite different from conventional controllers such as PID. In this paper is presented an adaptive method of controlling the yo-yo system. Fuzzy logic controller based on human expertise is referred at first. Then, an adaptive fuzzy controller which has adaptation features against the variation of plant parameters is proposed. Finally, experimental results are presented.

  • In this research, we detect the charge state within $0.1{\sim}0.3[A]$ and develop the intelligent digital charge device by applying a fine pulse signal using PWM inverter and Proportional-Integral(PI) controller which uses micro -processor and intelligent technique. The ripple rate is within ${\pm}1%$, and the indicator error rate of full charge state is within ${\pm}1%$, and the voltage stability is within ${\pm}0.1[V]$, and the accuracy of voltage detect is 48[V] and ${\pm}0.5[V]$ in the reference of 100[A].

  • This paper which can simulate FRIENDS(Flexible Reliable Intelligent Electrical eNergy Delivery System) model of distribution electrical system presents a new algorithm. In the operation of FRIENDS model, dispersed energy storage(DES) systems have an important role. We can use the active and reactive power of DES to control customer's voltage. In this, the former means load levelling operation and the later means voltage control operation of DES. We focus our research on load levelling operation of DES. We develope an algorithm to get an optimal capacity and operation schedule of DES and then apply it to the FRIENDS model. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Recently, the intelligent compaction technology for quality control of earthworks has brought attention as a quality control standard for earthworks. In this study, intelligent compaction technology and earthwork quality control methods were investigated and earthwork quality control procedures using intelligent compaction technology were considered based on field tests. Through the field compaction test of the silty sand (SM) fill material, it was confirmed that CMV and bearing capcaity index from plate load tests increased as the number of compactions increased. Based on the field test data, the average CMV and quality control target CMV were derived. The target CMV (34.2) was calculated through the correlation with the bearing capacity index of the plate load test, and the target CMV (36.6) was calculated through the analysis of the CMV increase rate. In this paper, the on-site compaction quality management procedure and methodology using intelligent compaction technology were discussed, and an intelligent compaction quality management method was proposed to promote the applicability of the technology.

  • This paper presents to study the velocity control method of AGV for heavy material transport. Generally, in the industries, fork-type AGV using path tracking requires high stop-precision with performing operations for 20 hours. To obtain the high stop-precision of AGV for heavy material transport, AGV requires driving technic during low speed. Hence, we use encoder with keeping the speed of AGV and study the velocity control method to improve for the stop-precision of AGV. To experiment the proposed the velocity control method, we performed the experiments engaging the pallet located 4m in front of the AGV. In the experimental result, the maximum error of stop-precision was less than 18.64mm, and we verified that the proposed method is able to control stable.

  • An intelligent home network system using low-power and low-cost sensor nodes was designed and implemented. In Intelligent Home Network System, active home appliances control is composed of RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) based user indoor location tracking, dynamic multi-hop routing, and learning integration remote-control. Through the remote-control learning, home appliances can be controlled in wireless network environment. User location information for intelligent service is calculated using RSSI based Triangle measurement method, and then the received location information is passed to Smoothing Algorithm to reduce error rate. In order to service Intelligent Home Network, moreover, the sensor node is designed to be held by user. The gathered user data is transmitted through dynamic multi-hop routing to server, and real-time user location & environment information are displayed on monitoring program.

Face Identification Method Using Face Shape Independent of Lighting Conditions

  • In this paper, we propose the face identification method which is robust for lighting based on the feature points method. First of all, the proposed method extracts an edge of facial feature. Then, by the hough transform, it determines ellipse parameters of each facial feature from the extracted edge. Finally, proposed method performs the face identification by using parameters. Even if face image is taken under various lighting condition, it is easy to extract the facial feature edge. Moreover, it is possible to extract a subject even if the object has not appeared enough because this method extracts approximately the parameters by the hough transformation. Therefore, proposed method is robust for the lighting condition compared with conventional method. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed method, computer simulations are done by using the real images.
