  • A person does communication between each other using language. But, In the case of disabled person, call not communicate own idea to use writing and gesture. We embodied communication system using the ERG so that disabled Person can do communication. After feature extraction of the EEG included facial muscle, it is converted the facial muscle into control signal. and then did so that can select character and communicate idea.

  • In this paper, we describe how to represent hand witten decimal digits by a sequence of one to five fuzzy sets. Each fuzzy set represents an arc segment of the digit and is a Cartesian product of four fuzzy sets; the first is fur the arc length of the segment, the second is for the arc direction, the third is fur the arc shape, and the fourth is a crisp number indicating whether it has a junction point and if it has an end point of a stroke. We show that an arbitrary pair of these sequences representing two different digits is mutually disjoint. We also show that various forms of a digit written in different styles can be represented by the same sequence of fuzzy sets and hence the deviations due to different writers can be modeled by using these fuzzy sets.

  • In this paper, we describe how to represent lower case hand-written English alphabets by a sequence of two to seven fuzzy sets. Each fuzzy set represents an arc segment of the character and each arc segment is assumed to be a part of an ellipse. The part of an ellipse is defined by five quantities; its short and long radii, its orientation angle, whether it is a part of the lower half or the upper half, and whether it is the full half or a part of a half. Hence, we use the Cartesian product of five fuzzy sets to represent each arc segment. We show that this representation is a translation, rotation, and scaling invariant and that it can be used to generate the hand-written English alphabets. The representation we describe is different from the one proposed earlier by the author and when compared with the previous representation, the one described in this paper simulates more closely the behavior of how one writes English characters.

  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR) that has been a main research topic of computer vision and artificial intelligence now extend its applications to detection of text area from video or image contents taken by camera devices and retrieval of text information from the area. This paper aims to implement a binarization algorithm that removes user intervention and provides robust performance to outdoor lights by using TopHat algorithm and channel transformation technique. In this study, we particularly concentrate on text information of outdoor signboards and validate our proposed technique using those data.

  • In this paper, the development of an editing system for Hanguel sentences is described. Each Hanguel character is composed of 24basic phonemes and 1 dummy code with satisfactorily good quality, and an editing Is simply performed by using Hanguel and alphanumeric characters. The experiments demonstrate th e possibility of developing an intelligent terminal for Hanguel characters. This experimental system is implemented on the minicomputer NOVA 1200. Furthermore HIT (Hanguel -Inteuigent -Terminal) which is low cost but shows high level functions by the incorporation of a microprocessor and a CRT-display is given.

  • In many of ITS(Intelligent Tutoring System), they only evaluate student level or simple some student character. We propose student model for considering many student characteristics. Our student model contains student level and student's weak problem type, domain field, problem situation. We can provide optimum problem to individual student by student model.

  • Recognizing a license plate of a vehicle has widely been issued. In this thesis, firstly, mean shift algorithm is used to filter and segment a color vehicle image in order to get candidate regions. These candidate regions are then analyzed and classified in order to decide whether a candidate region contains a license plate. We then present an approach to recognize a vehicle's license plate using the Fuzzy ARTMAP neural network, a relatively new architecture of the neural network family. We show that the proposed system is well to recognize the license plate and shows some compute simulations.

  • In this paper, we define generalized induced linguistic aggregation operator called generalized induced linguistic ordered weighted harmonic mean(GILOWHM) operator. Each object processed by this operator consists of three components, where the first component represents the importance degree or character of the second component, and the second component isused to induce an ordering, through the first component, over the third components which are linguistic variables and then aggregated. It is shown that the induced linguistic ordered weighted harmonic mean(ILOWHM) operator and linguistic ordered weighted harmonic mean(LOWHM) operator are the special cases of the GILOWHM operator. Based on the GILOWHM and LWHM operators, we develop an approach to group decision making with linguistic preference relations. Finally, a numerical example is used to illustrate the applicability of the proposed approach.

  • 본 연구는 필기체 한글 문자를 인식하기 위하여 한글 문자구조를 6개 기본구조로 분류한다. 각각의 한글 자음과 모음을 7-세크먼트, '/'(Left-Incline), '$\backslash$'(Right-Incline), '-'(Left-Right), '$\mid$'(UP-Down), 'c'(Circle), 'ㄱ'(Right-down), 'ㄴ'(Down-Right) 분리한다.
