  • This research aims to address the effect of Guided Autobiography(GAB) on ego-integrity, depression and life-satisfaction in the elderly and to investigate psychological changes and experiences on the senior subject. 20 subjects participated weekly autobiography writing sessions in a senior academy in the S city for 13 weeks. In this research, we carried out examination on ego-integrity, depression test, and life-satisfaction survey were performed before and after the writing sessions for a quantitative analysis, which was later investigated through a 'corresponding sample T-test'. Based on the results of the above mentioned tests, the qualitative analysis was conducted through an individual sessions with 5 selected participants. The results of this research are summarized as following. First, ego-integrity showed satisfactorily meaningful difference between pre- and post-GAB writing. The participants recollected the past repent and revisited unresolved issues in their lives. The subjects were able to accept these past misdemeanors and appreciate their lives. GAB indeed helped improving ego-integrity. Second, the hypothesis that GAB writing will help decrease depression was accepted. 2-page weekly writing assignments enabled the participants think of joyful moments in their past, and showed decrease the symptoms of depression. Third, this study revealed that GAB writing improved life- satisfaction. The participants learned to express gratitude and peace in their mind. The happy feeling and optimistic thoughts enhanced their satisfaction of life in turn. In addition, it turned out that the effects of GAB were more drastic in group sessions than in individual writings. Interpersonal interactions in group sessions encouraged the exchange of positive feedback, thereby helping them reflect themselves positively.

  • Purpose: This correlational study was conducted to determine the relationship between health status and ego integrity of permanent elderly returnees from Sakhalin. Methods: We surveyed 94 permanent elderly returnees from Sakhalin, living in Gimpo, Korea. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program for descriptive statistics, t-test, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The mean score of total health status was 3.7 on a 5 point Likert scale. The mean score of ego integrity was 3.6 on a 5 point Likert scale. The health status showed significant correlation with the ego integrity of the permanent elderly returnees from Sakhalin. Conclusion: In the present study, although the health status of the permanent elderly returnees from Sakhalin appeared to be good, the lack of awareness about health care and the need for ego integrity, is in itself the actual suffering. Thus by providing health education along with medical information can enhance the health management. And, this practice can be self regulating for the society and can provide institutional support for the permanent elderly returnees from Sakhalin, which they require.

  • To address the contradiction between data aggregation and data security in wireless sensor networks, a Recoverable Privacy-preserving Integrity-assured Data Aggregation (RPIDA) scheme is proposed based on privacy homomorphism and aggregate message authentication code. The proposed scheme provides both end-to-end privacy and data integrity for data aggregation in WSNs. In our scheme, the base station can recover each sensing data collected by all sensors even if these data have been aggregated by aggregators, thus can verify the integrity of all sensing data. Besides, with these individual sensing data, base station is able to perform any further operations on them, which means RPIDA is not limited in types of aggregation functions. The security analysis indicates that our proposal is resilient against typical security attacks; besides, it can detect and locate the malicious nodes in a certain range. The performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme has remarkable advantage over other asymmetric schemes in terms of computation and communication overhead. In order to evaluate the performance and the feasibility of our proposal, the prototype implementation is presented based on the TinyOS platform. The experiment results demonstrate that RPIDA is feasible and efficient for resource-constrained sensor nodes.

  • This study investigated the relations between gratitude disposition and the ego-integrity of elderly men and women, focused on generativity and relatedness toward spouse, children, and friends as well as examined gender differences for each path. The subjects were 341 Korean elderly men and women over the age of 60 living in the Busan, Daegu, and Gyeongsang areas. Collected data were analyzed by PASW ver. 18.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs; in addition, frequency, Cronbach ${\alpha}$, Pearson's correlation coefficients, t-test and structural equation modeling were also used for data analysis. The results were as follows. First, the Korean elderly's gratitude disposition had a positive influence on ego-integrity and generativity as well as on relatedness toward spouse, children, and friends. In addition, the relatedness toward spouse, children, and friends of Korean elderly had direct influences on generativity and indirect influences on ego-integrity by mediating generativity. Second, it showed that there was a gender difference in the structural model that explained the relations among the variables. Korean elderly men's relatedness toward spouse, children, and friends had direct effects on generativity. However, in case of Korean elderly women, only relatedness toward children and friends had effects on generativity. The results were discussed in terms of elderly education.

  • Meta-analysis was conducted on 56 studies published in Korea until April 2017 to systematically integrate factors of ego integrity of the elderly. The variables related to ego integrity were divided into 6 groups of variable, and the effect sizes were computed for each variable of their groups. The analysis results are as follows. First, the total effect size showed the middle effect size, and the effect size according to the variable group showed the largest effect size for the positive psychological variable group, followed by the negative psychological variable, the physical variable, the familial variable, the social variable and the demographic variable. Second, the largest effect size of the sub-variables on the each individual variable group showed positive psychological variable was life quality, negative psychological variable was depression, physical variable was health behavior, familial variable was children relationship, social variable was social support and demographic variable was economic status. As described above, suggesting that these variables may have a strong influence on ego integrity among the variables related to ego integrity because the quality of life, life satisfaction and depression were shown as the largest effective variables related to ego integrity.

  • Design-Based Research (DBR) focuses on developing key principles of interventions to advance both theory and practicalities of dissemination (Brown, 1992), yet its methodological details have not been quite established. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to address the pragmatics of DBR by sharing the researcher's reflections on conducting a longitudinal DBR project for five years. In an attempt to advance college teaching practices as well as theories related to student plagiarism, the project focused on refining "humble" theories on how and why college students engage in plagiarism to design classroom interventions for promoting academic integrity. Similar to the Integrative Learning Design (ILD) framework proposed by Bannan-Ritland (2003), but conducted in a much simpler and less formal format, this study followed DBR cycles from initial conceptualization to design and enact instructional interventions in authentic contexts while collecting both quantitative and qualitative data from each phase. Finally, the paper addresses some challenges encountered throughout the DBR project as well as the lessons learned from this experience. Like many previous DBR studies whose practical relevance is limited to local context, the findings from this study may not be easily generalized for other contexts.

  • In order to evaluate the integrity of Zr-2.5Nb pressure tubes, probabilistic fracture mechanics(PFM) approach was employed. Failure assessment diagram(FAD), plastic collapses, and critical crack lengths(CCL) were used for evaluating the failure probability as failure criteria. The Kr-FAD as failure assessment diagram was used because fracture of pressure tubes occurred in brittle manner due to hydrogen embrittlement of material by deuterium fluence. The probabilistic integrity evaluation observed AECL procedures and used fracture toughness parameters of EPRI and recently announced theory. In conclusion, the probabilistic approach using the Kr-FAD made it possible to determine major failure criterion in the pressure tube integrity evaluation.

  • An equivalent schema matching among several different source schemas is very important for information integration or mining on the XML based World Wide Web. Finding most similar source schema corresponding mediated schema is a major bottleneck because of the arbitrary nesting property and hierarchical structures of XML DTD schemas. It is complex and both very labor intensive and error prune job. In this paper, we present the first complex matching of XML schema, i.e. XML DTD, inlining two dimensional DTD graph into flat feature values. The proposed method captures not only schematic information but also integrity constraints information of DTD to match different structured DTD. We show the integrity constraints based hierarchical schema matching is more semantic than the schema matching only to use schematic information and stored data.
