The purpose of this study were to know the effects of making science newspaper activity on the science inquiry process ability of elementary school students and to analyse the writing context about their articles. The 33 sixth grader were participated in this program and they made 3 or 4 make a group, 9 groups made their own science newspaper. The results are as follow: first, there were statistically significantly differences(p<.01) on the basic science inquiry process abilities especially measurement and reasoning on making science newspaper activity. But there were no significantly differences on the integrative science inquiry process abilities; second, according to their articles on science newspaper, in personal context, they used many terms such as ecosystem, producer, consumer, decomposer, balance, but it was not personalized. And in social context, They pointed the cause and solution for the pollution and destruction in ecosystem, but it was superficial. Lastly in physical context, They used well their science concepts from class and format in newspaper in making science newspaper.

This study aimes to understand trends in alternative medicine use as new therapeutic ways to overcome the limits of western medicine, and is primarily concerned with function of alternative medicine to influence cancer theraphy in the United States after 1970s. Features of oriental medicine and western medicine through the comparison of Quantum medicine and Newton physics are pointed as the basic theory in alternative medicine. Homeopathic medicine, Chiro practice, Aroma theraphy, Transcendental meditation, Acupuncture is shortly is shortly introduced by alternative medicine use. The advantage of this study is to gain as follows : Firstly, To be recognized alternative function of cancer theraphy by Western nations including United States. Secondly, To understand the integrative program utilized as the alternative ways of cancer theraphy in the field. Thirdly, To understand side effects in alternative medicine use. :astly, To recommand marketing stratigies on alternative medicine services to develop Korean health tourism. In conclusion, it is increasingly emphasized that the importance of alternative medicine in relation to health promotion in the western nations. Western travelers expect that alternative medicine service is attractive and effective as the complementary function on incurable disease. Health tourism to experience alternative medicine services by travel will be expected one of the key industries in the future.

An 11-year-old mixed breed male dog was presented with a thoracoabdominal wall mass of 3-year duration. Initial tentative diagnosis of osteosarcoma was made. Despite chemotherapy treatment, 72 days following the date of presentation, the dog was euthanized. Based upon necropsy and histopathologic findings, the tumor was definitely diagnosed as a combined type osteosarcoma of the rib. At necropsy examination, the tumor extended the left kidney and diaphragm, but distant metastasis was not found. The tumor's weight was 2.3kg and that was 38.3% of the dog's weight. This case report describes the clinicopathological, computed tomographic, histopathologic and immunohistochemical findings of extensive rib osteosarcoma in a small breed dog.

A 15-month-old, intact male, domestic short hair cat was presented with ataxia, protrusion of the right third eyelid, and anorexia. Clinical signs were firstly noted after ear cleaning at home. Symptoms of the Homer's syndrome were evident. However, postural and proprioceptive reaction deficits were not detected on neurologic examination. Otoscopic examination revealed foreign body in right ear canal. A diagnosis of peripheral vestibular syndrome was made based on results of physical examination including neurologic and otic examination, blood work, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Based on these examinations, the present patient was definitely diagnosed as otitis medial interna induced by foreign body. The vestibular signs were resolved 10 days after removal of cotton tips in right ear canal. This case report indicates that home-care cotton swab can iatrogenically induce otitis media/interna in cats.

An 8-year-old, castrated male Shih-tzu was referred due to relapsing pododermatitis and generalized pruritus. On physical examination, right forepaw showed swelling and serosanguinous exudates from sinus tract on dorsal paw. There were no remarkable findings on complete blood count (CBC), serum chemistry, and radiologic examination. On cytological examination of exudates from sinus tract, phagocyted bacteria and numerous degenerative neutrophils were noted. Results of deep skin scraping and plucking hair examination were unremarkable. Skin biopsy was performed and ruled out other skin diseases. Histopathology showed epidermal hyperplasia and diffuse mononuclear cell inflammation in dermal layer. Moreover, pyogranulomatous inflammation was demonstrated in subcutaneous layer. This case was clinically diagnosed as pododermatitis secondary to atopic dermatitis (AD). Clinical signs of pododermatitis were gradually improved following topical application of tacrolimus 0.1% ointment. This case report describes that tacrolimus ointment can be applicable for the treatment of refractory pododermatitis.

The purpose of this study is to define the normal findings of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of the clinically healthy Beagle dogs and to provide basic information in diagnosis of neurologic disorders. CSF obtained from 13 clinically healthy dogs was examined for total and differential cell counts, total protein concentration, glucose and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) concentration, specific gravity, turbidity, and protein electrophoresis. On gross examination, CSF samples evaluated were clear and colorless. Few red blood cells and nucleated cells were present. The mean concentration of glucose and LDH examined were 65.8 mg/dl and 2.7 mg/dl, respectively. The cellular components of CSF samples based on differential counts were monocytes (41.9%), activated macrophages (35.8%), lymphocytes (20.0%), neutrophils (1.6%), and eosinophils (0.7%). The fractions of electrophoretic protein in CSF were albumin (52.7%), alpha-globulin (16.5%), beta-globulin (24.8%), and gamma-globulin (3.0%). Results of albumin quota were ranged from 0.15 to 0.38. In conclusion, this study provided normal composition of CSF in Beagle dogs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the efficiency of general ward nurses in hospitals using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Methods: Participants were 30 nurses working at a general ward. Input variables were labor cost and time of direct nursing. Output variables were prevention rate of medication error and bedsores, and patient satisfaction. These variables were extracted using literature review and CVI of an expert group. Data were collected from September 18 to October 7, 2017. Data were analyzed using EMS 3.1 program for DEA and descriptive statistics. Results: The average efficiency score of 30 nurses was 0.986, which was very high over all. In the super-efficiency analysis of 11 nurses, their efficiency ranged from 1.0 to 1.047. In addition, when the current output was fixed, the labor cost of nurses did not affect efficiency. Conclusion: This study attempted a new approach concerning performance evaluation of nurses using DEA. This method was useful during appraisal of nurses. We suggest that various input and output variables that were not considered in this study should be added to develop a integrative performance analysis model for nurses.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure the fatigue of operating room nurses and examine factors contributing to their fatigue. Methods: The subjects of this study were 115 nurses who worked in operating rooms of three hospitals. Data were collected from September 15, 2009 to September 30, 2009. Fatigue and job stress were measured by using the Symptom's Fatigue Scale and the job stress measurement tools in operating room nurses. Results: The mean score of fatigue level was $3.10{\pm}0.61$. We analyzed fatigue according to characteristics of subjects and found that there were significant differences in marital status, number of children and sleeping hours in general characteristics. Career, daily participation hours in the surgery relating to job related characteristics. Significant positive correlations were found between job stress and fatigue(r=.233, p= .012). Three significant variables influencing fatigue of operation rooms nurses were job stress, daily participation hours in the surgery, and sleeping hours (Adj. $R^2$=0.284, F=4.773, p<.001). Conclusion: An integrative care program that takes job stress, daily participation hours in the surgery and sleeping hours into consideration is essential to reduce fatigue in operating room nurses.

Purpose: This research was conducted to identify methods of inducing health promotion behavior, perceived health status, social participation and empowerment in the frail elderly receiving home visiting services. Methods: The subjects were 255 frail elders aged over 65 registered in the home visiting services of five public health centers in Daegu. Data were collected from June 9 to August 10, 2015. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS Win 18.0. Results: The mean health promotion behavior, perceived health status, social participation and empowerment scores were 2.56 (${\pm}0.33$), 7.11 (${\pm}1.98$), 2.60 (${\pm}0.69$) and 2.90 (${\pm}0.29$), respectively. There was significant difference in health promotion behavior by client classification and life satisfaction. There were significant differences in perceived health status by life satisfaction, social participation by religion and client classification and empowerment by past jobs. Health promotion behavior, perceived health status, social participation and empowerment were positively correlated. Conclusion: An integrative health care program that includes these significant variables of subjects is essential to management and prevention of deterioration of frailty in elderly.

Recent conditions in North Sulawesi Province (NSP) have become favorable for the development of tourism. In this paper, we present the recent status of biodiversity and tourism in NSP as a basic consideration towards integrative biodiversity conservation strategy. Overall, biological accounts suggest that NSP is important for the world biodiversity conservation program. NSP's biodiversity makes the area a major nature-based tourism (ecotourism) site in the world. Development of diverse tourism programs in NSP has provided new opportunities for balancing development and conservation of regional ecosystems. However, the excessive tourism growth in some particular areas in NSP has been identified as the primary factor of environmental degradation. Nowadays, biodiversity of North Sulawesi regions are suffering from the number of tourist impacts and facilities. Based on those conditions, tourism planning and development in NSP is needed to formulate a proper strategy to protect the ecosystem and biodiversity from degradation and extinction. This will be a new challenge of sustainable island tourism development and biodiversity conservation in NSP.
