  • In this paper, we propose the protocol for construction of smart factory. The proposed protocol for construction of smart factory consists of an OPC UA Server/Client, a technology of TSN realtime communication, a NTP & PTP time synchronization protocol, a FieldBus protocol and conversion module, a technology of saving data for data transmit latency and synchronization protocol. OPC UA server/client is a system integration protocol which makes interface industrial hardware device and supports standardization which allows in all around area and also in not independent from any platform. A technology of TSN realtime communication provides an high sensitive time management and control technology in a way of sharing specific time between devices in the field of high speed network. NTP & PTP time synchronization protocol supports IEEE1588 standardization. A fieldbus protocol and conversion module provide an extendable connectivity by converting industrial protocol to OPC. A technology of saving data for data transmit latency and synchronization protocol provide a resolution function for a loss and latency of data. Results from testing agencies to assess the performance of proposed protocol for construction of smart factory, response time was 0.1367ms, synchronization time was 0.404ms, quantity of concurrent access was 100ea, quantity of interacting protocol was 5ea, data saving and synchronization was 1,000 nodes. It produced the same result as the world's highest level.

  • BIPV(Building Integrated PV) system can expect dual effects that reduce expenses for establishment of PV system by adding new function as outer covering material of building expect producing the electricity. In case of PV(photovoltaic system) there are many generation differences according to the exterior environmental facts(solar cell array, design and installation condition of interactive inverter system). In this paper, we compared constitute factors of 3kW BIPV(solar cell module, inverter), operating characteristic and total system characteristic(utilization, generation efficiency, loss fact) and found out long time operating data using a watch instrumentations. By use of long time operating result, compare a totally operating characteristics, and we proposed a next building application of BIPV. BIPV system that is proposed in this paper, was established in Solar Energy research center of Chosun University, composed with system. The objective of this paper, is to provide a efficient BIPV design method through the considerations for the integration of PV system.

  • The demand for wireless technology in plant structure has recently been increasing due to several advantages such as installation cost reduction, easy placement, easy extension and aesthetic benefits. Among the many wireless technologies, ZigBee is one of the most useful for plant structure; a wireless plant networking system can be configured using ZigBee alone. This research proposes a ZigBee to use for extreme cold region and thereby enable integration of wired and wireless plant monitoring systems. In this study, in order to assess the performance of ZigBee measured data by thermocouple were examined based on the results from laboratory tests between existing ZigBee and developed ZigBee. From the experiment results, performance of developed ZigBee in harsh environment can be increased well.

  • We have developed a biologist-friendly, stand-alone Java GUI application, IdBean, for ID conversion. Our tool integrated most of the widely used ID conversion services that provide programmatic access. It is the first GUI ID conversion application that supports the direct merging as well as comparison of conversion results from multiple ID conversion services without manual effort. This tool will greatly help biologists who handle multiple ID types for the analyses of gene or gene product lists. By referring to multiple conversion services, the number of failed IDs can be reduced. By accessing ID conversion service online, it will potentially provide the most up-to-date conversion results. The application was developed in modular form; however, it can be re-packaged into plug-in form. For the development of a bioinformatics analysis tool, the module can be used as a built-in ID conversion component. It is available at http://neon.gachon.ac.kr/IdBean/.

  • Presented in this paper is a case study of constructing a smart factory for aircraft parts. The construction procedure involves four phases. First of all, its management goals are set, and layout design and simulation are carried out in the conceptual design phase. In the detail design phase, operating scenarios for each module are written out, and probable risks are analyzed by expert groups, and then requirements for developing equipments and subsystems are determined with consideration for element technologies and their integration schemes into the smart factory. In the fabrication and installation phase, system development, equipment fabrication and installation are proceeded in a separate manner, and then integrated together subsequently. In the operation and improvement phase, the factory is stabilized, sophisticated and improved constantly during real operation.

  • Forty-four eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)-producing microbial strains were isolated from the intestines of marine fishes. Among them, one strain showing a maximum level of EPA (4.78% of total fatty acids) was identified as Shewanella sp. BR-2 on the basis of its 168 rRNA sequence. The EPA content reached a maximum level during the mid-exponential phase of cell growth, and gradually decreased with further growth of the cells. A cosmid DNA including the EPA biosynthesis gene cluster consisting of pfaA-E was isolated from a cosmid library of genomic DNA of Shewanella sp. BR-2, named pCosEPA-BR2. An E. coli clone harboring pCosEPA-BR2 produced EPA at a maximum level of 7.5% of total fatty acids, confirming the EPA biosynthesis activity of the cloned gene cluster.

  • Because XML is a W3C standard and has characteristics like platform-independent, it has a critical role in e-commerce. Business rules and Procedures should be standardized for efficient B2B integration. But a lot of companies are its own XML documents instead of standard documents. Therefore many organizations try to make standards for e-commerce based on framework. In this paper, we designed and implemented XML Messaging System based on TCP/IP protocols. This system are designed by module. Because, it is easy to extensibility of system. So we can more easily and efficiently build e-commerce system based on this XML messaging system.

  • This paper proposes service mechanism for realization of Multimedia-On-demand(MOD) and implementation of a real-time MOD service through the interface of WWW environment with ATM at its backbone. As part of this proposal, we have adopted the naive ATM interface and the CM transport module, and have then implemented a WWW-based Multimedia-On-Demand. In this thesis, we have proposed WWW-based user interface using Java. CGI internet programming method. And we have implemented service mechanism through integration of Database with WWW.

  • The Electro-optical camera subsystem as a payload of a satellite system consists of OM (optical module) and CEU(camera electronics unit), and most performances of the camera subsystem depend a lot on the CEU in which TDI CCDs(Time Delayed Integration Charge Coupled Device) take the main role of imaging by converting the light intensity into measurable voltage signal. Therefore it is required to specify and design the CEU very carefully at the early stage of development with overall specifications, design considerations, calibration definition, test methods for key performance parameters. This paper describes the overview of CEU development. It lists key requirement characteristics of CEU hardware and design considerations. It also describes what kinds of calibration are required for the CEU and defines the test and evaluation conditions in verifying requirement specifications of the CEU, which are used during acceptance test, considering the fact that CEU performance results change a lot depending on test and evaluation conditions such as operational line rate, TDI level, and light intensity level, so on.

  • Current CAD systems used in the AEC community have some critical problems. One of them is that they hardly support design collaboration. Thus designers and engineers are hard to transfer design knowledge from one discipline to another. What we need is a common building database which creates and manages building plans/models and relevant design knowledge consistently and effectively. This paper presents a powerful CAD editor, called UNIFORM, which is being developed. Currently UNIFORM includes three main modules: a plan generator, a 3-D model generator, and component databases. A plan generator, called UNIFORM PLANNER, creates a plan which contains semantically-rich information of building. Each component in the plan can be presented in various ways and connected to component databases that contain knowledge of building components such as windows, doors, walls, etc. Based on the plan UNIFORM MODELER, another module of the program, generates a three dimensional building model which could be a multiple-story building. One of the main ideas behind the system is that it generates and maintains a common building form that can be easily delivered to other members of the project team. Thus it is expected to increase system integration, team interactions, and productivity.
