통합 정보시스템에서의 데이터 이질성 해결 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Method for Solving Data Heterogeneity in the Integrated Information System)

  • As the technologies for telecommunication have been evolving, more enhanced information services and integrated information systems have been introduced, which can manage a variety of information from the heterogeneous systems. The major obstacle for the integrated information systems is the integrating heterogeneous databases in the systems and the heterogeneity problems can be classified into the structural and data heterogeneities. However, the previous researches have mainly highlighted into the solving structural heterogeneity problems. This paper identifies the data heterogeneity problems for multi-database schema integrations and proposes a new solving method. We analyze the semantics equivalence in data values based on the functional dependency, primary and candidate keys, and present a procedural solution of data heterogeneity in the perspective of the concept of attribute equivalence, integration key and conceptual integration table.

A Study on the Evaluation Method for the Degree of Integration towards Office Towers in Different Climate Zones

  • High rise office buildings represent one of the most energy-intensive architectural typologies. The growth of urban population necessitates sustainable high rise towers that lessen environmental impacts and energy consumption. Among various sustainable strategies, the integrated design is long known to be an important process that has great impact on building's sustainability. The framework for this paper is based on the case study of integrated towers that are located in different climate zones. The paper specifically addresses to what extent climate conditions influence the design of a high rise building and what kinds of the climate integrated design has been implemented. Qualitative case studies were carried out using published data and architectural drawing set. The technical work presented in the paper is based on computer simulation that examines the insolation analysis using hourly recorded weather data. The analysis results revealed that the site and building envelope integration and the site and building service systems have shown the most frequently employed in the integrated towers through the implementation of renewable resource integration, high performance envelopes and sustainable building service systems. Internal comfort and further energy saving in the integrated towers are offered through an automatic building management system. Due to the dynamic climate conditions, integration of building systems requires a sophisticated approach to building sustainability.

  • The objective of this paper is to outline an integrated cellular manufacturing system (ICMS) which integrates process planning and scheduling in the cellular manufacturing environment. It combines design systems with manufacturing systems in batch production. Furthermore, it is developed to overcome the difficulties that exist in the current manufacturing practices.

  • The issues raised so far in the development of safety-critical systems have centered on how effectively the safety requirements are met in systems design. The systems are becoming more complex due to the increasing demand on the functionality and performance. As such, the integration of both the systems design and systems safety processes becomes more important and at the same time quite difficult to carry out. In this paper, an approach to solving the problem is presented, which is based on an integrated data model. To do so, the data generated from the inputs and outputs of the systems design and systems safety processes are analyzed first. The results of analysis are used to extract common attributes among the data, thereby making it possible to define classes. The classes then become the cores of the interface data model through which the interaction between the two processes under study can be modeled and interpreted. The approach taken has also been applied in a design case to demonstrate its value. It is expected that the results of the study could play a role of the stepping stone in extending to the architecture development of the integrated process.

  • In the present study, porcine pepsin in various pH conditions was investigated by small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) in order to detailed information on the structure and its variations with pH conditions. These analyses identified the structure of pepsin, and compared with that obtained by single crystallography. Moreover, this study found the structure' variations with changing pH conditions. All the results will be discussed with considering the conformational characteristics of pepsin in solution and further correlate to the biological and spectroscopic characteristics reported previously.

  • Modern naval ships are large complex systems with the number of requirements ranges from thousands to tens of thousands. To build a quality ship, the satisfaction of the requirements should be traced. In most shipbuilding projects it is almost impossible to manage all the requirements without a proper CASE (computer aided systems engineering) tool. And for effective management of the shipbuilding project, the integrated database for technical data is very important. This paper describes how the requirements are managed, and the integrated database is built in the naval shipbuilding industry in Korea.

Improvement of a Low Cost MEMS Inertial-GPS Integrated System Using Wavelet Denoising Techniques

  • In this paper, the wavelet denoising techniques using thresholding method are applied to the low cost micro electromechanical system (MEMS)-global positioning system(GPS) integrated system. This was done to improve the navigation performance. The low cost MEMS signals can be distorted with conventional pre-filtering method such as low-pass filtering method. However, wavelet denoising techniques using thresholding method do not distort the rapidly-changing signals. They can reduce the signal noise. This paper verified the improvement of the navigation performance compared to the conventional pre-filtering by simulation and experiment.

  • 디지털 콘텐츠 재화가 증가됨에 따라 이를 관리하기 위한 콘텐츠 관리 시스템에 새로운 콘텐츠 서비스를 추가하거나 기존 콘텐츠 관리 시스템 간에 통합하는 경우가 빈번하게 발생한다. 효율적인 시스템 통합을 위해 본 논문에서는 이 기종으로 구성된 두개의 콘텐츠 관리 시스템을 마이크로서비스 아키텍처 기반으로 통합 콘텐츠 관리 시스템을 설계하여 개발 간 기존 시스템의 중단 없이 재활용이 가능하고, 효율적으로 통합이 가능하며, 확장성을 가진 시스템을 구현하였다. 이를 통해 구현된 시스템의 소요되는 자원 사용량을 측정하고, 기존 미들웨어를 사용한 시스템 통합을 방식 간의 차이점을 분석하였다.

  • 에너지 자원의 고갈과 환경오염으로 인하여 건축조명 분야에서는 주광을 이용하여 에너지를 절약하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 광센서 조장제어시스템은 실내로 입사되는 주광에 따라 인공조명을 자동으로 제어하는 에너지 절약형 시스템으로 쉐이딩 시스템에 의해 주광유입이 차단되어 그 적용성이 미비하다. 자동롤러쉐이딩 시스템은 태양의 변화에 따라 롤러쉐이드의 높이를 자동으로 제어하는 시스템으로 광센서 조광제어시스템과 통합되어 사용될 때, 불쾌한 직사일광은 차단하고 실내로 유용한 주광을 유입함으로써 에너지 절감과 쾌적한 시환경을 제공할 수 있다. 본 연구는 광센서 조광제어시스템과 자동롤러쉐이딩 시스템의 통합을 위하여, 각 시스템의 제어 소프트웨어를 개발하였고 이를 통합하였다.
