  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the clinical dentistry curriculum in Korea and Japan in order to review the application of integrated curriculum in the field. We collected the clinical dentistry syllabi for 2015-16 of the department of dental hygiene of Korea G University and Japan N University. Using the data from Korea, items that were duplicated and integrated were classified by the subjects covered in clinical dentistry. In addition, through case studies conducted in Korea and Japan, we analyzed and compared the credits, class hours, teaching methods, and evaluation methods, by subject. In Korea the total class hours in clinical dentistry, including clinical practice, was 1,095, and in Japan it was 1,104. In Korea, the syllabus covered by each department consisted of about 200 hours centering on theoretical lectures. In Japan, the integrated form of clinical dentistry was taught, and the instructions included all the contents of clinical dental study and also problem-based learning for approximately 100 hours. To strengthen the competence of dental hygienists as professionals, who are actively involved in dental practice, it is necessary to integrate the education contents of segmented clinical dentistry from the perspective of dental hygiene. It is also important to apply teaching methods that can help students improve their ability to solve problems.

  • The Korean pharmaceutical industry has many pharmaceutical companies and business acquaintances, small quantity batch production and a lot of competition products having same ingredient. Under such a situation, an integrated distribution is said to be proper to lower distribution costs and deliver effectively: However, each business has different delivery conditions, timely delivery of small quantity batch order and other particular services, etc to have problems of competition of turnover increase. The study suggests measures below to lower distribution costs and to elevate sales business efficiency. First, Joint marketing of pharmaceuticals between pharmaceutical companies. Second, Joint delivery of three or less companies having similar business scales. Third, An agreement with wholesale distributors of unified distribution of pharmaceuticals being sold much. Fourthly, Wholesale distributors' pharmaceuticals distribution services. Fifthly, Cooperation of business acquaintance. In summary, the Korean pharmaceutical industry needs an integrated distribution system. Considering characteristics of the industry, however, the small pharmaceutical companies are thought to be difficult to accept the integrated distribution because complete integrated distribution may reduce sales.

  • Recently, Korea's interest in environment protection is increasingly growing, and Korea realizes the seriousness of environmental pollution and national movement to minimize the effect is arising. As part of the movement, the need of environmental education in elementary schools is on the rise. This study aims to develop integrated environmental experience programs allowing students to have experience activities in forests, rivers, and seas that they can approach easily around them and to have environmental education through various plays. In addition, the study purposes to compare general educational education programs in actual education in terms of the effect of the program on students' environment attitudes. This study was conducted to 50 fourth graders in two classes of S elementary school in Busan, and the 25-student comparative group had the normal educational education program that is mostly being performed in actual education while the 25-student treatment group had the survey on environmental attitude after a class using an integrated environmental experience program. The survey content is about environmental attitudes, and it consists of six subjects such as general environment, environmental pollution, energy, water resources, recycling, and animal protection and has 7 or 8 items by each subject which is divided into eight sub-items including sensibility, belief, values, spontaneity, criticism, patience, attention and interest. The findings are as follows. First, the integrated environmental experience program has a more positive effect on environmental attitudes than the general educational program. In particular, it is really effective about the topic of animal protection among students' environmental attitudes. Second, the integrated environmental experience program has a more positive effect on values and interests than the general environmental education program.

  • This study analyzes the necessity of integrated innovation policy for post catch-up innovation. The integrated innovation policy solidifies its position as an infrastructure innovation policy which forms the foundation of all kinds of policies. The Korean government is currently under the pressure of planning technologies and policies that do not allow any easy imitation or copy of other advanced countries, which in turn reveals various limits of the existing policy framework. Integrated innovation policy for post catch-up innovation involves a continual process demanding changes in political, organizational and procedural activities. To ensure long-term and cross-sectoral innovation policy, overall changes and improvements in policy and its implementation are needed in terms of political commitments, governance systems, policy instruments and monitoring, and evaluation systems.

  • In this paper, we propose a tunable SIW(Substrate Integrated Waveguide) using dielectric screws for eliminating the phase imbalance of large size power distribution networks(PDN). Alumina screws partially inserted into several through holes of the tunable SIW section effectively change the phase shift without S-parameter degradation. ${\pm}33.9^{\circ}$ measured phase imbalance of a large conventional 9 GHz SIW-PDN of $370\;mm{\times}195\;mm$ size has been greatly reduced to ${\pm}4.65^{\circ}$. We expect that the proposed tunable SIW plays an important role for a light-weight, high performance substrate integrated phased array system(Si-PAS) and large size SIW circuit applications.

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the effect of an integrated care service which included a combination of oriental and western care on health outcomes in elderly patients with degenerative arthritis. Methods: A prospective comparative design was used. Data were collected from May 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009 from 85 elderly patients with degenerative arthritis in the lower extremities who were followed in a hospital out-patient department for 8 weeks. The integrated care service group (n=36) received a combination of physical therapy, acupuncture, western medicines or herbal medicines, and the western care group (n=49) received physical therapy or western medicines. Functional independence, walking speed, rotation balance, pain intensity, service satisfaction and total medical costs for the two groups were compared at 8 weeks. Results: Functional independence (t=2.14, p=.036) and walking speed (t=2.51, p=.014) improved significantly in the integrated care group while pain intensity improved significantly in the western care group (t=3.35, p=.002). The integrated care group reported higher scores for service satisfaction (t=2.09, p=.041) and higher medical costs than the western care group (t=2.15, p=.035). Conclusion: The results suggest that integrated care services are effective modalities to improve mobility and quality of life for elders with degenerative arthritis.

  • Based on a substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) and a complementary split ring resonator(CSRR), electrically small antennas are proposed in this paper. Antenna's electrical size is reduced by introducing both CSRR and the eighth-mode substrate integrated waveguide(EMSIW). The EMSIW occupies only 12.5 % of the conventional SIW at the same dominant resonant frequency. In addition, the resonant frequency of the antenna is varied by rotating the CSRR on the EMSIW while keeping the same radiation patterns. The resonant frequency is changed from 4.74 GHz to 5.07 GHz by varying orientation of the CSRR from 0 to 360 degree. Unidirectional radiation patterns are observed and the measured peak gains are from 4.50 to 5.92 dBi.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze integrated reporting disclosure and its implications on investor reactions. The population in this study is all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange from 2017 to 2019, totaling 171 companies, and the sampling technique used is purposive sampling method. The method used in this research is a quantitative description using the financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange. The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis with intervening variables using AMOS 24 software. The results of this study show a positive and significant effect of profitability (X1) and company size (X2) on integrated reporting (IR); a positive and insignificant effect of stakeholder pressure (X3) on integrated reporting (IR); a positive and significant effect of profitability (X1) and stakeholder pressure (X3) on investor reactions (Y); a positive and insignificant effect of firm size (X2) and integrated reporting (IR) on investor reactions (Y). Suggestions are that in further studies, we can increase the sample size by including other industries, and in addition to using annual reporting, we can also use other sources such as websites, press releases, and prospectuses to improve the robustness of this study by relying on other data sources.
