This study analyzes the innovation process of the value chain in the fashion industry. It examines the differences between traditional and FF-based methods that include value chain processes such as design, production, and distribution-sales process. In the literature review and case studies, general propositions were drawn from each innovative stage by a comparison analysis. First, design speed is the main factor to explain the impact of IT in the design process. Second, small quantity batch production becomes main stream by the adoption of a computer-integrated manufacturing system in the production process. Third, cost reduction and speedup improvement are results of innovation in the distribution process. Last, a customized interface provides important information that can integrate the value chain and make useful customer relationships in the sales process. Fast fashion is the best product of these procedural innovations in the overall value chain. Consequently, this study confirmed that the general propositions referred above were acceptable and adaptable in the case of ZARA in terms of fast fashion strategy.

Recently researches about multi-modal system has been studied widely and actively, Such multi-modal systems are enable to increase possibility of HCI(Human-computer Interaction) realization, enable to provide information in various ways and also enable to be applicable in e-business application, If ideal multi-modal system can be realized in future, eventually user can maximize interactive usability between information instrument and men in hands-free and eyes-free, In this paper, a new multi-modal browsing system using Java RMI as communication interface, which integrated by HTML browser and voice browser is suggested and also English-English dictionary search application system is implemented as example.

This paper presents a chunking system employed as a preprocessing module to the parser in a Chinese to Korean machine translation system. The parser can benefit from the dependency information provided by the chunking module. The chunking system was implemented using transformation-based learning technique and an effective interface that conveys the dependency information to the parser was also devised. The module was integrated into the machine translation system and experiments were performed with corpuses collected from Chinese websites. The experimental results show the introduction of chunking module provides noticeable improvements in the parser's performance.

The urban expansion and the modernization of the urban infrastructure need a new technology to manage the facilities. The sewer management, one of the urban infrastructures, requires geographical information systems(GIS) for this purpose, and can be supported by the expert system. Consequently, non-professionals can use this system conveniently. In this study, the search and retrieving capacity of the relational database management system(DBMS) and the chain topology generator of the vector-based GIS were integrated into the sewer management system together with the expert knowledge. This system can predict the sewer volume charge by the simulation, and automate these procedures. This system is also user-friendly by using the user-interface. Finally, the system was applied to one of the Seoul drainage districts and tested.

It has been a well known fact that the Internet as a information media has became a obvious ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Networks) through ultra speed information networks. Internet has mads a great change in educational fields. The educational systems are being changed into a learner central figure from the professor central one and cyber universities regardless of space and distance have appeared though the Internet. Accordingly in this paper, we present the web site of UC(Ulsan College) applied to WIDS(Web Identity Development System) to supply the enhancement of information services and the interface design of user's convenience in rapid changing educational environment. We suggest the more enhanced methodology of web site development in cyber space through the case of UC web site development.

Since computerized numerical controller (CNC) emerged as a result of the fusion of the electronics technology and the mechanical technology, there has been continuous evolution of CNC technology in the mechatronics industry. The industry is recently developing a new control system based on the fusion of personal computer (PC) and CNC. Upgraded PC has now integrated into CNC, making various machines possible to exchange data, software and hardware, and to greatly improve man-machine interface. The fusion of PC and CNC can form a new paradigm in technological innovation of not only control system but also whole machinery industry in near the future. Korea lagged behind the developed countries in the development of open control system with the fusion of PC. Turbo-tek, Hyundai Motor and Daewoo are leading companies, but their commercial possibility seems to be low because domestic market is too small to reap a commercial benefit. Nevertheless, the development of the system is an essential step for Korea to embark on a future technological paradigm of the machinery industry. The government needs to play some role for the development, for instance, government R&D projects, institutional building and training of related technicians.

Simulation Based Acquisition(SBA) which pursues to use M&S in manner of integrated collaboration is being applied in defense acquisition. To accomplish SBA efficiently, reusability, reconfiguration and scalability of M&S components are important factors. To avoid constraints caused by coupling of components, PBA is designed to add and configure components easily by enabling independent interface and interaction among the components and provides common development infrastructure also. And PBA framework is implemented to support the development of a simulator which uses the PBA. It is expected that deployment of PBA framework as common development infrastructure can raise efficiency of M&S works.

Fintech, which means the convergence of finance and information technology, becomes a hot topic in the financial sector. Through innovative activities on financial services, ICT(Information and Communication Technology) is integrated into the overall financial industry, and a new form of financial services could be expected to improve the existing financial system. On the other hand, fintech services are relatively vulnerable to security issues. Due to the process simplication and the channel fusion, the leakage of personal and financial informations, authentication bypass, phishing, and pharming are getting more concerned. In this study we investigated the security risk of fintech services in the viewpoints of service provider, technology adoption, and security policy. The possible countermeasures to reduce those risks are suggested because security is an important criterion for selecting financial services. This study basically offers quantification of the potential security risks and step-by-step control measures about business processes in the fintech services. The suggested security model includes user authentication, terminal security, payment information protection, API(Application Programming Interface) security, and abnormal transaction monitoring. This study might contribute to an understanding of the security risks and some possible measures for mitigating those risks on the practical perspective.

Business needs of companies to require smart work have been increased use of mobile services and the research for the mobile service architecture to respond to the diverse needs of business operations is required. For providing variety of mobile services, customization research for the mobile platform should be performed. Mobile service to provide integration services and device continuity should be able to integrated(Mashup) among services using open interface(Open API). This paper provides the mashup customization technique that can meet a variety of requirements by integration among such services.

As modern weapon systems have evolved into embedded software systems, the capability to develop, install, and maintain high-quality software products is becoming increasingly valuable in today's competitive aerospace and defense industry. It is desirable, especially for government-contracted projects whose end-users are military personnel, that specific types of software quality elements are assured early during product development; namely, functionality and usability. Motivated by this need to approach improving software quality from a user's perspective, this paper presents a case study that analyzes system-level software integration testing results for a weapon system indigenously developed in the Republic of Korea. Quantitative data, such as software defect ratios and configuration change rates, are computed to observe meaningful trends with respect to functionality - represented by tests designed to verify the system's electrical signal interfaces - and usability, which is evaluated in terms of how often the initial human-computer interface had to be re-designed. Insights gained from these exercises are subsequently presented as a set of "lessons learned" to take into account when developing new software items for complex weapon systems.
