In this paper, we propose a method which allows the SuperSQL query processor to share as much code as possible among various, generators, each of which is responsible for the output of a certain medium. SuperSQL is an enhanced query-processing system that converts database records into a variety of formats such as XML, HTML, PDF and etc. However, the existing SuperSQL media generator would require creation of a different processor for each medium, causing duplicated development cost. This research makes three main contributions: First, it analyzes the structures of various media, examining any possibility of integration based on their common structure. Second, it also facilitates the addition of a new output media generator by separating constructors and decorators from each medium. Last, it provides an integrated user interface to each media by method of the Media Abstraction Table Concept. We also show the performance and feasibility of our system using experimental results.

As the multimedia application services have been getting various in Internet, need of multimedia database management system which can manage various multimedia information effectively has been increased. The multimedia application generally needs the features to store, manage, retrieve the multimedia data. We need a database management system framework that may be easily integrated with these features. This paper proposes th database management system framework providing the easy integration with various multimedia information retrieval. The framework uses OQL as the retrieval interface, so that user can use it easily. It can be integrated dynamically and easily with various multimedia retrieval method as a loosely coupled system. In addition there is no performance degradation caused in a loosely coupled system.

Applications of bonded dissimilar materials such as integrated circuit(IC) packages, ceramics/metal and resin/metal bonded joints, are very increasing in various industry fields. It is very important to analyze the thermal stress and stress singularity at interface edge in bonded joints of dissimilar materials. In order to investigate the IC package crack propagating from the edge of die pad and resin, the fracture parameters of bonded dissimilar materials and material properties are obtained. In this paper, the thermal stress and its singularity index for the IC package were analyzed using 2-dimensional elastic boundary element method(BEM). From these results, crack propagation direction and path by thermal stress in the IC package were numerically simulated with boundary element method.

WebME is an Web-based integrated modeling environment that implements a multi-facetted modeling approach to mathematical model representation and management. Key features of WebME include the following: (i) sharing of modeling knowledge on the Web, (ii) a user-friendly interface for creating, maintaining, and solving models, (iii) independent management of mathematical models from conceptual models, (iv) object-oriented conceptual blackboard concept, (v) multi-facetted mathematical modeling modeling, and (vi) declarative representation of mathematical knowledge. This paper presents details of design and implementation issues that were encountered in the development of WebME.

Abstract - An integrated condition monitoring algorithm based on an expert system was implemented in this work in order to monitor effectively the machine conditions. The knowledge base was consisted of numeric data which meant the posterior probability of each measurement parameter for the representative machine failures. Also the inference engine was constructed as a series of statistical process, where the probable machine fault was inferred by a mapping technology of pattern recognition. The proposed algorithm was, through the user interface, applied for an air compressor system where the temperature, vibration and wear properties were measured simultaneously. The result of the case study was found fairly satisfactory in the diagnosis of the machine condition since the predicted result was well correlated to the machine fault occurred.

본 논문은 네트워크 환경에서 라우터 장비의 성능을 유효하게 측정하기 위한 통합 성능측정 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 성능측정에 관련된 인터넷 표준을 분석하여 성능지표를 추출하고, 현재 사용되고 있는 성능측정 도구를 다양한 관점에서 실험함으로써 통합 시스템 구성을 위한 상호 대응구조를 제시한다. 전체 시스템 관점에서 유효한 성능측정 결과를 산출할 수 있도록 시스템 구조와 더불어 인터페이스, 데이터베이스를 설계한다. 상세 설계 구조를 바탕으로 통합 시스템의 구현 결과를 서술하고 있다.

Precise coating weight control is very important issue on quality and minimizing operating costs on continuous galvanizing line. These days, many steel making companies are having a new understanding of cost importance by rise raw material prices and customer's requirement for cost reduction. Dongbu steel also meets these situations and decided to develop the technologies. Dongbu Steel developed Integrated coating weight control system jointly with Objective Control Ltd. and installed 2CGL and 4CGL. Several technological functions were developed and realized to achieve true hands-off operation and maximum cost benefit by combining model-based preset and dynamic prediction models. We also installed it on 1 CGL on April, 2008. This paper will present the interface, functions and application result of the integrated coating weight control system including Zn saving and coating weight uniformity.

As digital and computer technologies have grown, human-machine interfaces (HMIs) have evolved. In safety-critical systems, especially in nuclear power plants (NPPs), HMIs are important for reducing operational costs, the number of necessary operators, and the probability of accident occurrence. Efforts have been made to improve main control room (MCR) interface design and to develop automated or decision support systems to ensure convenient operation and maintenance. In this paper, an integrated decision support system to aid operator cognitive processes is proposed for advanced MCRs of future NPPs. This work suggests the design concept of a decision support system which accounts for an operator's cognitive processes. The proposed system supports not only a particular task, but also the entire operation process based on a human cognitive process model. In this paper, the operator's operation processes are analyzed according to a human cognitive process model and appropriate support systems that support each cognitive process activity are suggested.

The purpose of this paper is the development of Integrated Bio-signal Management System(IBMS) using the network. IBMS is the system to manage the medical signals that measured from the each independent medical measurement system module. Each has a LAN. We developed the file-server network using Novell Netware. Also, we developed the Graphic User Interface software for IBMS using Visual C++ at Windows 3.1.

A guidance kit transforming a general purpose bomb into an air-to-surface gliding bomb was developed. This guidance kit consists of a flight kit and a tail kit. Flight kit contains deployable wing, GPS/INS integrated navigation system, guidance and control system. Also this guidance kit was designed to use neither electrical nor mechanical interface with aircraft, and to increase dramatically the survivabilities of pilot and aircraft with the high accuracy and the mid-range non-powered gliding capability.
