GPS/INS Integration using Fuzzy-based Kalman Filtering

  • The integrated global position system (GPS) and inertial navigation system (INS) has been considered as a cost-effective way of providing an accurate and reliable navigation system for civil and military system. Even the integration of a navigation sensor as a supporting device requires the development of non-traditional approaches and algorithms. The objective of this paper is to assess the feasibility of integrated with GPS and INS information, to provide the navigation capability for long term accuracy of the integrated system. Advanced algorithms are used to integrate the GPS and INS sensor data. That is fuzzy inference system based Weighted Extended Kalman Filter(FWEKF) algorithm INS signal corrections to provided an accurate navigation system of the integrated GPS and INS. Repeatedly, these include INS error, calculated platform corrections using GPS outputs, velocity corrections, position correction and error model estimation for prediction. Therefore, the paper introduces the newly developed technology which is aimed at achieving high accuracy results with integrated system. Finally, in this paper are given the results of simulation tests of the integrated system and the results show very good performance

  • This paper presents the multi-objective optimisation of an Inductive Coupled Power Transfer (ICPT) device. A setup as complicated as the one at hand in this paper is extremely hard to model analytically. To acquire some knowledge about the influence of the geometric factors, a sensitivity analysis is first performed using design of experiment (DoE) and finite-element modelling (FEM). It allows validating that the choice of the free factors is relevant. This being done, the optimisation itself is performed using a genetic algorithm (GA), with two objectives and a strict functioning constraint.

  • In this work, a tunneling field-effect transistor (TFET) based on heterojunctions of compound and Group IV semiconductors is introduced and simulated. TFETs based on either silicon or compound semiconductors have been intensively researched due to their merits of robustness against short channel effects (SCEs) and excellent subthreshold swing (SS) characteristics. However, silicon TFETs have the drawback of low on-current and compound ones are difficult to integrate with silicon CMOS circuits. In order to combine the high tunneling efficiency of narrow bandgap material TFETs and the high mobility of III-V TFETs, a Type-I heterojunction tunneling field-effect transistor (I-HTFET) adopting $Ge-Al_xGa_{1-x}As-Ge$ system has been optimized by simulation in terms of aluminum (Al) composition. To maximize device performance, we considered a nanowire structure, and it was shown that high performance (HP) logic technology can be achieved by the proposed device. The optimum Al composition turned out to be around 20% (x=0.2).

태양광 모듈형 전력조절기를 위한 양방향 벅-부스트 포워드 컨버터 (Bi-Directional Buck-Boost Forward Converter for Photovoltaic Module type Power Conditioning System)

  • This paper proposes an energy storage-assisted, series-connected module-integrated power conversion system that integrates a photovoltaic power conditioner and a charge balancing circuit. In conventional methods, a photovoltaic power conditioner and a cell-balancing circuit are needed for photovoltaic systems with energy storage devices, but they cause a complex configuration and high cost. Moreover, an imbalanced output voltage of the module-integrated converter for PV panels can be a result of partial shading. Partial shading can lead to the fault condition of the boost converter in shaded modules and high voltage stresses on the devices in other modules. To overcome these problems, a bidirectional buck-boost converter with an integrated magnetic device operating for a charge-balancing circuit is proposed. The proposed circuit has multiple secondary rectifiers with inductors sharing a single magnetic core, which works as an inductor for the main bidirectional charger/discharger of the energy storage. The secondary rectifiers operate as a cell-balancing circuit for both energy storage and the series-connected multiple outputs of the module-integrated converter. The operating principle of the cell-balancing power conversion circuit and the power stage design are presented and validated by PSIM simulation for analysis. A hardware prototype with equivalent photovoltaic modules is implemented for verification. The results verify that the modularized photovoltaic power conversion system in the output series with an energy storage successfully works with the proposed low-cost bidirectional buck-boost converter comprising a single magnetic device.

대형 2행정 디젤기관에 있어서 일체형 전자제어 축압분배 실린더 주유기 시스템의 송출유량 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Feed Rate Characteristics of Integrated Cylinder Lubricator System with an Accumulated Distribution by the Electronic Control in a Large Two-stroke Diesel Engine)

  • Minimizing the cylinder wear and the consumption rate of cylinder oil in a large two-stroke diesel engine is of great economic importance. A motor-driven cylinder lubricator for Sulzer RT-flex large two-stroke diesel engines developed by authors is in need of modifying the lubricating system to lubricate cylinder parts optimally by an electronically controlled quill device according to changes of engine load and revolution speed. In order to apply the developed accumulating distributor to an integrated cylinder lubricator by the electronically controlled system as the third research stage, the lubricating system is improved in the electronically controlled quill device with a solenoid valve. In this study, the effects of lubricator revolution speed, driving pressure and cylinder back pressure on oil feed rate, maximum discharge and delivery pressures are experimentally investigated by using the integrated cylinder lubricator system with an accumulated distribution by the electronic control. It is found that the oil feed rate of the developed integral cylinder lubricator system is less than that of the motor-driven cylinder lubricator by the electronically controlled quill system equipped with an accumulating distributor because of the decrease of delivery speed by increasing the maximum delivery pressure in the same experimental condition.

중약진지역 구조물과 스마트 최상층 면진시스템의 통합최적설계에 대한 연구 (Study of Integrated Optimal Design of Smart Top-Story Isolation and Building Structures in Regions of Low-to-Moderate Seismicity)

  • 구조물의 지진응답을 저감시키기 위하여 추가적인 감쇠기나 진동제어장치가 일반적으로 사용된다. 이때, 추가적인 감쇠장치의 제어성능은 대상구조물 특성의 변화 없이 검토된다. 본 연구에서는 구조물과 스마트 제어장치의 다목적 통합최적화를 수행하였고 스마트 최상층 면진시스템이 설치된 구조물의 구조물량 저감의 가능성을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 20층 예제구조물이 사용되었으며 MR 감쇠기와 저감쇠 탄성베어링을 사용하여 스마트 면진시스템을 구성하였다. 중약진지역의 설계스펙트럼을 바탕으로 생성된 인공지진하중을 사용하여 구조해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석결과, 스마트 최상층 면진시스템이 중약진지역에 있는 구조물의 응답과 면진층 변위를 동시에 효과적으로 줄일 수 있는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 통합최적설계기법으로 구조물량 및 감쇠기 용량을 적절하게 줄이면서도 우수한 제어성능을 발휘하는 다양한 설계 대안을 제공할 수 있었다.

뉴로모픽 아키텍처 기반 자율형 IoT 응용 통합개발환경 응용 시나리오 (Application Scenario of Integrated Development Environment for Autonomous IoT Applications based on Neuromorphic Architecture)

  • 다양한 IoT 디바이스 사용이 증가함에 따라 IoT 플랫폼의 중요성 또한 대두되고 있다. 최근에는 IoT 디바이스에 인공지능 기술이 결합되는 추세이며, 저전력으로 많은 연산 처리가 가능한 뉴로모픽 아키텍처를 적용하는 연구도 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 GUI 형식의 뉴로모픽 아키텍처 기반 자율형 IoT 응용 통합개발환경(NA-IDE:Integrated Development Environment for Autonomic IoT Applications based on Neuromorphic Architecture)에서 IoT 디바이스와 뉴로모픽 아키텍처 FPGA 디바이스를 사용하여 NA-IDE의 가능성 및 유효성을 확인하기 위한 IoT 응용 시나리오를 제안한다. 제안된 시나리오는 IoT 디바이스에 카메라 모듈을 연결하여 실시간으로 MNIST 데이터셋 이미지를 수집하여 뉴로모픽 보드를 통해 수집된 이미지를 인식하고 다른 IoT 디바이스에 연결된 센서 모듈을 통해 인식 결과를 표시한다. 이와 같이 이기종 IoT 디바이스에 뉴로모픽 아키텍처를 적용하여 다양한 응용 서비스에 활용한다면 뉴로모픽 아키텍처 기반 자율형 IoT 응용 통합개발환경은 4차 산업혁명을 주도하는 핵심 기술로 부상할 것으로 전망한다.

에너지 하베스팅 기술을 활용한 농산물 물류용 리턴어블 접이식 플라스틱 상자 RFID 모듈 개발 (Development of a Returnable Folding Plastic Box RFID Module for Agricultural Logistics using Energy Harvesting Technology)

  • Sustainable energy supplies without the recharging and replacement of the charge storage device have become increasingly important. Among various energy harvesters, the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) has attracted considerable attention due to its high instantaneous output power, broad selection of available materials, eco-friendly and inexpensive fabrication process, and various working modes customized for target applications. In this study, the amount of voltage and current generated was measured by applying the PSD profile random vibration test of the electronic vibration tester and ISTA 3A according to the time of Anodized Aluminum Oxide (AAO) pore widening of the manufactured TENG device Teflon and AAO. The discharge and charging tests of the integrated module during the random simulated transport environment and the recognition distance of RFID were measured while agricultural products (onion) were loaded into the returnable folding plastic box. As a result, it was found that AAO alumina etching processing time to maximize TENG performance was optimal at 31 min in terms of voltage and current generation, and the integrated module applied with the TENG module showed a charging effect even during the continuous use of RFID, so the voltage was kept constant without discharge. In addition, the RFID recognition distance of the integrated module was measured as a maximum of 1.4 m. Therefore, it was found that the surface condition of AAO, a TENG element, has a great influence on the power generation of the integrated module, and due to the characteristics of TENG, the power generation increases as the surface dries, so it is judged that the power generation can be increased if the surface drying treatment (ozone treatment, etc.) of AAO is applied in the future.

무인수상정 플랫폼 장비의 통합 제어 시스템 개발 (A Development of Integrated Control System for Platform Equipments of Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV))

  • 최근 해양 환경에서 국방과 관련한 임무를 수행하는 무인수상정(USV, unmaned surface vehicle)의 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 무인수상정이 해양 환경에서 성공적인 임무를 수행하기 위해서는 선체부, 추진시스템, 조향시스템, 제어시스템, 전원시스템 등을 포함하는 원격/자율 무인수상정 플랫폼이 필수적으로 요구된다. 기존 무인수상정은 기계식 제어 방식을 채택하고 있었지만, 이는 중량 등 여러가지 측면에서의 제약을 가진다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 무인수상정의 플랫폼 장비를 전자적으로 제어하기 위한 시스템을 개발하고, 개발한 시스템을 실험하여 유용성을 검증하는 것에 관한 내용을 다룬다. 이를 위해서 제어 명령에 따라 엔진, 워터젯, 전원 등 플랫폼 장비를 제어하기 위한 주 제어 시스템과 엔진 제어장치, 워터젯 제어장치, 전원 제어장치에 관한 시스템 아키텍처를 설계하고, 각 구성 요소를 개발한다. 또한, 개발한 시스템의 수조 실험 및 검증을 위하여 엔진 및 워터젯의 각 구성 요소를 포함하는 테스트베드를 설계 및 제작하였고, 이를 기반으로 실험을 수행하여 개발한 시스템의 유용성을 검증하였다.

TCAD를 이용한 EPI MOSfET의 전류-전압 특성 분석 (The Current-Voltage Characteristics analysis of EPI MOSFET using TCAD)

  • 소자의 고집적을 위한 특성분석 기술은 빠른 변화를 보이고 있다. 이에 따라 고집적 소자의 특성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 이해하고 이에 맞게 제작하는 기술은 매우 중요한 과제 중의 하나가 되었다. 소자가 마이크론급 이하로 작아지면서 그에 맞는 소자개발을 위해 여러 가지 구조가 제시되고 있는데 본 논문에서는 TCAD를 이용하여 여러 가지 구조 중on서 고농도로 도핑된 ground plane 위에 적층하여 만든 EPI MOSFET를 조사하였다. 이 구조의 특성과 임펙트 이온화와 전계 그리고 I-V특성 곡선을 저 농도로 도핑된 Drain(LDD) MOSFET와 비교 분석하였다. 또한 TCAD의 유용성을 조사하여 시뮬레이터로서 적합함을 제시하였다.
