  • This research presents a prototype development and implementation of Decision Support System (DSS) for integrated river basin water management for the flood control. The DSS consists of Relational Database Management System, Hydrologic Data Monitoring System, Spatial Analysis Module, Spatial and Temporal Analysis for Rainfall Event Tool, Flood Forecasting Module, Real-Time Operation of Multi Reservoir System, and Dialog Module with Graphical User Interface and Graphic Display Systems. The developed DSS provides an automated process of alternative evaluation and selection within a flexible, fully integrated, interactive, centered relational database management system in a user-friendly computer environment. The river basin decision-maker for the flood control should expect that she or he could manage the flood events more effectively by fully grasping the hydrologic situation throughout the basin.

  • With the increasing needs for the integrated use of topographic and cadastral data in order to build an efficient geo-spatial information system. it is urgently necessary to research into its solution. The intention of this study is to detect error types of data and to propose adjustment methods for solving the problems caused by integrating topographic and cadastral data. For this purpose a primary integrated data model is created to link attribute data(land management system) and graphic data within cadastral information in the first step. In next, a secondary integrated data model based on the improved method is formed to coincide the graphic data of cadastral map with that of topographic map. At the first, because a numerous error types md sources caused by separate management of graphic and attribute data are easily checked, it is possible to suggest an improved method to correct these errors using the primary integrated data model. In addition, the accuracy in position and area with coordinate transformation method based on multi-block adjustment is more efficient than rubber-sheeting method. As a result, the secondary integrated data model could be built by harmonizing cadastral map with topographic map using the improved solution.

  • Business intelligence assumes an integrated and inter-connected information resources. To manage an integrated database, we need to trace data transformation processes from its outset. For this purpose, this study proposes an extended Information Structure Graph that models data transformation steps in addition to data transformation structures. Using the graph, we can identify relationship among data entities and assign data quality measures to each nodes or arcs of a graph, thus eases management of data and enhancing their quality.

  • In order to enhance the safety of the international aviation industry, the International Civil Aviation Organization has recommended establishing an operational foundation for systematic and integrated collection, storage, analysis and sharing of aviation safety data. Accordingly, the Korea aviation industry also needs to comprehensively manage the safety data which generated and collected by various stakeholders related to aviation safety, and through this, it is necessary to previously identify and remove hazards that may cause accident. For more effective data management and utilization, a standard structure should be established to enable integrated management and sharing of safety data. Therefore, this study aims to propose the framework about how to manage and integrate the aviation safety data for big data-based aviation safety management and shared platform.

  • A decision support system DSS-WQMRA (Decision Support System-Water Quality Management in Rural Area) was developed to help regional planners for the water quality management in a rural basin. The integrated model DSS-WQMRA, written in JAVA, includes four subsystems such as a GIS, a database, water quality simulation models and a decision model. In the system, the GIS deals with landuse and the location of pollutant sources. The database manages each data and supplies input data for various water quality simulation models. the water quality simulation model is composed of the GWLF( Generalized Watershed Loading Function), PCLM(Pollutant Loading Calculation Module) and the WASP5 model. The decision model based on mixed integer programming is designed to determine optimal costs and thus allow the selection of managemental practices to meet the water quality criteria. The methodology was tested with an example application in the Bokha River Basin, Kyunggi Province in Korea. It was proved that the integrated model DSS-WQMRA could be very useful for water quality management including the non-point source pollution in rural areas.

  • The necessity of the raw data management and reuse is issued by diffusion of the recognition that research data is a national asset. In this paper, a metadata design model by schema class inheritance and a metadata integrated search model by schema objects are suggested for a structural management of the data. A data architecture in which an schema object has an 1 : 1 relation to the data collection was designed. A suggested model was testified by creation of a virtual schema class and objects which inherit the schema class. It showed the possibility of implement systematically. A suggested model can be used to manage the data which are produced by government agencies because schema inheritance and integrated search model present way to overcome the weak points of the 'Top-dow Hierarchy model' which is being used to design the metadata schema.

  • In this paper, we analyze the operations and/or status of our structure which builds the management structure measuring integrated monitoring system based on linked open data in a short term or long term bases. We have applied a novel analyzing method of linked open data to expect what movements can be occurred in the structure, and we improve the monitoring system using an integrated design to solve the drawbacks of conventional types of monitoring. And collecting data through cloud and their reliability can be proved by evaluation of soundness of data amount and their confidence.

  • Since software and hardware integration has became a strategic tool for companies to innovate their products, an information system that can comprehensively manage software and hardware integrated product development is critical for the current product development. This paper proposed a product data model that can support modules of related software and hardware parts in Product Data Management(PDM) integrated with Software Configuration Management(SCM). The model allows engineers to define software and hardware product structure independently, and support the integration module that can summon related software and hardware parts to build a comprehensive module for collaboration. Through the integration module, engineers can identify and examine the effectiveness of their design alternatives to other related parts form different disciplines. The product data model was implemented as a prototype PDM system and tested with an example robotics product.

  • Researching the phenomenon and answering research questions to generate an integrated management system to manage the post-disaster reconstruction phase calls for a well-created or structured framework for the research methodology plus a mixed method. Aim and Purpose: To produce an Integrated Management of Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems, a Disaster Management framework for Post-Disaster Reconstruction Projects Management and Empirically Validate the Framework. Research methodology and mixed methods framework study activities are the following stages: Literature Review, Formulating Research Methodology and Mixed Methods, The Research Aim and Objectives, The Research Question Statements - Mixed Methods (Qualitative and Quantitative), Planning and Procedures for Participants and Service Users' Involvements, Designing of Questionnaires and Surveys Research Question, Using Mixed Method Design Data Collection and Analysis with NVIVO and Final Development of the Integrated Management System for Post-Disaster Construction Management Phase, Recommendation and Conclusion. OBJECTIVES: Explore the awareness and practice of environmental, occupational health, safety, and quality management systems, as well as disaster management practices for the post-disaster reconstruction phase and routine reconstruction. Furthermore, the mixed methods part addresses the research aim and objectives. Then, it facilitates the achievement of the research goals and contribution to the knowledge and development of an integrated management system for the post-disaster reconstruction management phase.
