In this paper, a simulation test bed is presented which operates to provide full-scale simulation of airborne multi-function phased array radars. This simulation test bed provides a capability to evaluate the target tracking performance. To realize aircraft operation scenario, we developed 6DOF aircraft dynamics model which can generate trajectories and attitude of an aircraft. This procedure includes steady state flight trim search, autopilot design, and aircraft guidance command design. Also, the radar-environment integrated simulator includes target detection/measurement model and tracking filter. Developed simulator is validated by creating an air-to-air scenario.
This study is to guide to estimate service quality on ITSM operation based on ITIL(IT Infrastructure Library). ITIL v2 and v3 provide how to integrate framework of IT service and business process. It is widely used as ITSM operation base. As a latest IT trend, ITSM covers Hardware, Software, SaaS, Network, Call center, Helpdesk, ASP portal and IT operation. Servicedesk is selected as target area where valid sampling is addressable and service change is rapid. Traditional Helpdesk was focusing on technical support to solve internal IT issues passively. But it was evolved into Service Desk which focus in process and provide integrated service from customer's business view point preventively and proactively. Accordingly outsourcing types business are normally performed by group of professional capability. Service quality is measured under the SLA(Service Level Agreement). This study utilized SERVQUAL model as service quality measuring tool developed by Parasuraman, Zeitaml and Berry to find critical factors to satisfy customer. And test was processed regarding effectiveness of IT organization and customer view point thru sampling. Though valid parameters can be changed by ITSM areas under the SERVQUAL models, they naturally can be accepted as a index of service quality measurement after sampling test with acceptable significance. And I recommend to follow this study as a preparation before official SLA.

The safety critical systems in nuclear power plants should be designed to have a high level of fault tolerant capability because those systems are used for protection or mitigation of the postulated accidents of nuclear reactor. Due to increasing of the system complexity of the digital based system in nuclear fields, the reliability of the digital based systems without an auto-test or a self-diagnostic feature is generally lower than those of analog system. To overcome this problem, additional redundant architectures in each redundant channel and self-diagnostic features are commonly integrated into the digital safety systems. The self diagnostic function is a key factor for increasing fault tolerant capabilities in the digital based safety system. This paper presents an availability and safety evaluation model to analyze the effect to the system's fault tolerant capabilities depending on self-diagnostic features when the loss or erroneous behaviors of self-diagnostic function are expected to occur. The analysis result of the proposed model on the several modules of a safety platform shows that the improvement effect on unavailability of each module has generally become smaller than the result of usage of conventional models and the unavailability itself has changed significantly depending on the characteristics of failures or errors of self-diagnostic function.
In biological cell manipulation, manual thrust or penetration of an injection pipette into an egg is currently performed by a skilled operator, relying only on visual feedback information. Massive load of various micro injection of either genes, fluid or cells in the postgenomic era calls a more reliable and automatic micro injection system that can test hundreds of genes or cell types at a single experiment. We initiated to study cellular force sensing in zebrafish eggs as the first step for the development of a more controllable micro injection system by any inexperienced operator. Zebrafish eggs at different developmental stages were collected and an integrated biomanipulation system was employed to measure cellular force during penetrating the egg envelope, the chorion. First of all, the biomanipulation system integrated with cellular force sensing instrument is implemented to measure the penetration force of cell membranes and characterize mechanical properties of zebrafish embryo cells. Furthermore, implementation of cellular force sensing system and calibration are presented. Finally, the cellular force sensing of penetrating cell membranes at each developmental stages was experimentally performed. The results demonstrated that the biomanipulation system with force sensing capability can measure cellular force at real-time while the injection operation is undergoing. The magnitude of the measured force was in the range of several hundreds of uN. The precise real-time measurement should provide the first step forwards for the development of an automatic and reliable injection system of various materials into biological cells.

We fabricate PIN PD (Positive Intrinsic Negative Photo-Diode) for CWDM optical repeater and optical transmission system, and analyze theoretically the characteristics to verify the capability of device fabricated. Furthermore, we integrate CWDM filter into PD package to enhance the cost and the performance when compared to the conventional system, in which CWDM filter and PD package are linked by optical fusion splicing. The integrated CWDM PD is fabricated by three steps as follows: CWDM filter design, PD packaging, and product assembly and test. The results of measurement for PD fabricated reveal 0.5 dB bandwidth of 17 nm, isolation over 60 dB at transmission port and over 20 dB at reflection port. Also, the IMD3 for wireless communication is over 63 dBc, and the responsivity of PD presents over 0.9 A/W for 20 samples of the total 23 PD. The total insertion loss reduces about 0.4${\~}$0.7 dB due to the integrated assembly of CWDM and PD.

With the change of the agricultural environment (increased rice production, decreased rice consumption, and rice production policies), converting paddy fields into upland fields is an increasing trend. In terms of conversion into upland fields, subsurface drainage is one of the most important factors for good field crop growth. This study evaluates the performance of a subsurface drainage culvert system in paddy fields and reclaimed lands. The obtained results are briefly summarized as follows: 1) After a comparative evaluation of several subsurface drainage culvert systems, including excavated subsurface drainage and non-excavated subsurface drainage types, type 3 (non-excavated, perforated drain pipe 50 mm, filter mat B50 cm, subsoiling 70 cm and culvert spacing 5 m) shows relatively high values among four types in terms of effectiveness (subsurface discharge capability) and economic efficiency (construction cost). 2) Type 3 has proven that it is suitable for design standards of discharge capacity through field tests performed in paddy fields (three sites: Gong-geom, Gae-san, Juk-san) and reclaimed lands (two sites: Gum-ho, Mi-am). 3) In the experiment of Sesamum indicum growth according to the existence of a drainage system, Sesamum indicum growth with a subsurface drainage culvert system had good value in terms of plant shoot and root length, shoot fresh and dry weight, and root fresh and dry weight).

IPPT(Integrated Propulsion Performance Test)s were carried out as a final stage of KSR-III(Korea Sounding Rocket-III) propulsion system development three kinds of engine with different injector faceplate were tested, therefore a engine with composite baffle was certified for a KSR-III launcher. Though a engine with STS baffle which was designed for verification of combustion instability suppression ability was not final design, due to the combustion tests with this engine, it can be described that baffle has capability to suppress combustion instability at ignition and at mainstage in the case of KSR-III combustor.

Aiming at one of decisive alternatives for long term aspect of nuclear power concerns, an integral and closed nuclear system, AMBIDEXTER (Advanced Molten-salt Break-even Inherently-safe Dual-mission Experimental and TEst Reactor) concept is under development. The AMBIDEXTER complex essentially comprises two mutually independent loops of the radiation/material transport and the heat/energy conversion, centered at the integrated reactor assembly, which enables one to utilize maximum benefits of nuclear energy under minimum risks of nuclear radiation. And it provides precious radioisotopes and radiation sources from its waste stream. Also the reactor operates at very low level of fission products inventory throughout its lifetime. The nuclear and thermalhydraulic characteristics of the molten TH/$^{233}$ U fuel salt extend the capability of the self-sustaining AMBIDEXTER fuel cycle to enhance resource security and safeguard transparency. The reactor system is consisted of a single component module of the core, heat exchangers and recirculation pumps with neither pipe connections nor active valves in between, which will significantly improve inherent features of nuclear safety. States of the core technologies associated with designing and developing the AMBIDEXTER concept are mostly available in commercialized form and thus demonstration of integral aspects of the concept should be the prime area in future R&D programs.

In this paper, we present a symbiotic evolutionary algorithm for multi-objective optimization. The goal in multi-objective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs) is to find a set of well-distributed solutions close to the true Pareto optimal solutions. Most of the existing MOEAs operate one population that consists of individuals representing the entire solution to the problem. The proposed algorithm has a two-leveled structure. The structure is intended to improve the capability of searching diverse and food solutions. At the lower level there exist several populations, each of which represents a partial solution to the entire problem, and at the upper level there is one population whose individuals represent the entire solutions to the problem. The parallel search with partial solutions at the lower level and the Integrated search with entire solutions at the upper level are carried out simultaneously. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with those of the existing algorithms in terms of convergence and diversity. The optimization problems with continuous variables and discrete variables are used as test-bed problems. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
