The purpose of this study is to suggest a meaningful way of implementing science and engineering integrated lessons in school science settings. To this end, two types of science and engineering integrated lesson units (focusing on the physic concepts of light and wave) were developed based on the core elements of science and engineering integrated lesson; object, context, engineering design, and connection with science. These two units were implemented in free semester program in a middle school in a metropolitan city. Throughout the process of program implementation, instructor's reflection and focus group interview with participant students were collected to reveal problems arising from the field implementation. In addition, engineering education experts were interviewed to discuss the potential problems and possible solutions for the problems. As results of the study, five main problems of implementing escience and engineering integrated lessons in a school science setting were revealed and practical solutions for the problems were suggested by the experts.

The purpose of this study is to improve creative personality of elementary school students with integrated subject study program based STEAM education. On this study, I analyzed integrated subject study and STEAM, developed contents using educational robot applied integrated subject study program model. And analyzed result after applied to elementary school students. After dividing two groups-experimental group, comparison group-for this study, tested t-test. Finally I got a meaningful result statistically. There was an postive effect to improving elementary school students' creative personality by appling STEAM-based integrated subject study program.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the healthy family education, healthy family counseling, a healthy family culture, and healthy families integrated programs for single parent families in family support centers, The data collected came from 59 family support centers located in Seoul and Kyunggi-Do, Korea. Subjects included both single parents and their children. The children were of elementary school age. The types of programs were education, counseling, culture, and integrated program. Education programs were process separately for the parents and for the children. Counseling programs were mostly group-type program that aimed at improving the parent-children relationship. The contents included sections on anger management, reducing stress, enriching self-esteem. The culture programs involved experiences, camps that included cooking, watching movies, similar activities. Integrated programs involved respite support, rearing support, mentor-mentee partnerships, and the formation of self-help groups.

This paper describes the design optimization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs). An optimization framework has been developed and implemented for the conceptual design of UAVs. An integrated design analysis program was developed with several analysis modules such as propulsion, performance, mission, weight, and stability and control. A UAV configuration design optimization was performed by implementing the integrated analysis to enhance the endurance of UAVs. A SQP optimizer was utilized to build an optimization module for this program and sensitivity analysis was performed to determine the trends of shape variables for developing optimization objective. In conclusion, the results indicate that the resulting optimized UAVs configurations show performance improvements over the baseline design and reliable analysis results.

Promoting positive values, attitudes, participation and personal actions on the basis of the acquisition of one's knowledge and skills is emphasized on teaching environmental education. To complete this purpose of environmental education, it is necessary not only to use various and practical educational resources, but also to develop information system, with multimedia and internet, which are effective for learning. This research attempts to assess the consistency of planning, organization and operation of integrated program for social environmental education which was developed for the necessities mentioned above. We surveyed about the accuracy of contents, usefulness, convenience and easiness of Integrated program for social environmental education. Also, we used a questionnaire to clarify the values and attitudes of respondents after they took environmental education. Then, technically, descriptive statistical method has been used to analyze the results of these surveys. Finally, we conduct an examination of the distribution of chi-square to verify the relationship between the learner's experience of using computer and one's concern about environmental issues. The results of this program, developed by research team, can be assessed by following five basic elements: usefulness, practicality, appropriation, efficiency and effectiveness. More than 90% of respondents said that this program is convenient and easy to loam. Also, more than 85% of whole respondents identified that after teaming this program they recognized more clearly what the main contents of environmental education are. In addition, we got positive response from 93% of respondents that they could understand environmental problems. On the other hand, values and attitudes of respondents have not improved a lot after the environmental education compared with the remarkable change in their recognition and understanding of environmental issues; only 34% of respondents responded that they changed their life style for making better environment after teaming this program. But it is clear that they understand much better about the environmental policy after they are educated. Developed by using information system, this integrated program for social environmental education may get different results according to a respondent's experience of using computer. Therefore, the more a respondent got a chance to use computer for a long period of time, the more he/she gave positive evaluation on the convenience and easiness of this program. However, there was no certain relationship between the frequence of using computer and one's understanding of environmental issues. Futhermore, a person who has constant concerns about environmental problems showed more positive attitudes against the understanding of environmental education. This integrated program for social environmental education, characterized by integrated, specialized and efficient educational system, can also be used as a curriculum or teaching materials for environmental education for adults; especially, it would be appropriate for teaching learners at all levels, who have different personal characteristics, to let them acquire virtual education by using information system.

Educational efforts in integrating various subjects which are closely related to one another have had positive results. Additionally, integrating subjects has shown to be more effective than teaching subjects independently. The purpose of this study is to propose, construct, and develop a theme-based integrated program that teaches elementary school student's subjects which are outside the regular curriculum such as electricity, electronics, programming, and energy by using Diki-3000. Thus, having considered the theoretical background of theme-based integrated program, elementary school subjects including home economics, science, social studies, and extracurricular activities have been analyzed and restructured into theme-based program. Students will learn about and familiarize themselves with these subjects by utilizing the Diki-3000 product. This program aims to improve students understanding of the aforementioned subjects by combining Diki-3000's strengths as an educational tool with the contents of theme-based integrated program. Moreover, the learning experiences gained from completing critical problem-solving activities which are beyond normal subject knowledge is expected to help develop learners' positive thinking skills.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of an integrated self-management program on self-management, glycemic control, and maternal identity in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods: A non-equivalent control group non-synchronized quasi-experimental design was used. A total of 55 women with GDM were recruited from Cheil General Hospital, Seoul, Korea and were assigned to an experimental (n=28) or control group (n=27). The participants were 24-30 weeks pregnant women who had been diagnosed with GDM as of July 30, 2010. The program was conducted as a 1 hour small group meeting 3 out of 5 times and by telephone-counseling 2 out of 5 times. The integrated self-management program was verified by an expert panel. Results: Although there was no significant reduction in HbA1c (U= -1.17, p=.238), there were statistically significant increases in self-management (U= -3.80, p<.001) and maternal identity (U= -4.48, p<.001), and decreased 2-h postprandial glucose levels (U= -2.43, p<.015) in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: These findings suggest that an integrated self-management program for women with GDM improves self-management, maternal identity, and glycemic control. Further studies are needed to identify the effects of an integrated self-management program on pregnancy and neonatal outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to develop, apply, and test the effectiveness of integrated palliative care empowerment program for the clinical nurses caring the cancer patients. Methods: The subjects were selected by a convenience sampling method from the nurses working at two university hospitals in D city. The study targeted a total of 37 nurses, 17 for the experimental group and 20 for the control group. The integrated palliative care empowerment program was implemented once a week for seven weeks to the experimental group from October 5th to November 11th in 2016, and it was analyzed by using the program IBM SPSS Statistics version 19.0 for Windows. Result and Conclusion: The study proved that the integrated palliative care empowerment program was effective on improving the integrated palliative care, empathy capacity, and ethical climate of the nurses. Based on the results of the study, it is necessary to develop an applicable program in collaboration of various health professions.

The integration of coding and mathematics education, known as coding-integrated mathematics education, has received much attention due to the strength of Artificial Intelligence-based Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (AI-based STEAM) education in improving students' affective domain. The present study investigated the effectiveness of coding-integrated mathematics education on students' development of affective mathematics engagement. Participants in this study were 86 middle and high school students who attended the coding-integrated mathematics program. Surveys of students' affective mathematics engagement were administered before and after the intervention period. The results showed that students' affective mathematics engagement was statistically significantly improved through coding-integrated mathematics education. In particular, students exhibited increased positive affective mathematics engagement in terms of mathematical attitude, emotion, and value. These findings indicate the positive influence of coding-integrated mathematics education on students' learning in mathematics.

The purpose of this study was to develop Dementia-Care-Robot integrated program based on group customization and to identify effects on IADL, depression, and attitudes toward robot. This study was nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. The subjects were 40 elders diagnosed with mild dementia participating in the dementia center daily program (20 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group). Each session lasted for 30 minutes, twice a week during 6 weeks. Data were collected from July 16 to November 7, 2019, and were analyzed using SPSS WIN 22.0 program to identify differences between groups for variables. After the program, the experimental group improved in IADL, depression, but there were no significant differences between the two groups. In attitude toward robot, the experimental group showed positive change to the robot, but the control group showed negative change to it, also there was a significant difference between the two groups. Findings indicate that integrated program using Dementia-Care-Robot has potential as a strategy to improve the symptoms of dementia and to delay the progression. It needs to be applied in the medical field through convergent approach of engineering.
