  • With the advancement of the Internet and networks, the combination of wired/wireless technologies is spreading rapidly since it enables the creation of new services and provides new features to both users and service providers. In such wired/wireless integrated services, network integration is very important because such systems are integrated by a linkage between heterogeneous networks and they involve an integration of transmission technologies across networks. In this situation, existing security and communication technologies are unsuitable since the network are integrated with heterogeneous networks. The network may also have several security vulnerability. Also, form of service that users offer will be service for roaming user. In these service, we must provide fast authentication and security at roaming. Therefore in this paper we proposed roaming and AAA mechanism in heterogeneous network environment. Our system provides secure communication and efficiency.

  • Korea navy has been using the voice-oriented ICS to raise a efficiency of naval ship operation. Recently a multimedia network which are included voice, video and text is under consideration by korean navy. As a basic research to establish the integrated multimedia network of a naval ship, this paper classify the networks in order to apply to an integrated network among the various networks within a naval ship. We also consider the sort and characteristic of the multimedia traffic which is using within the classified networks. To predict the link capacity of switch from number of traffic input source, we suggest a traffic aggregation model. Then we calculate the link capacity of aggregated traffic and analyze a aggregated traffic of Korea major naval ship.

  • Virtual wavelength path (VWP) is the optical path when a wavelength conversion is possible in a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) network that is transmission infrastructure for the next generation high speed backbone networks. To achieve efficient design for VWP networks, we must consider VWP routing, wavelength assignment, and wavelength conversion while satisfying many technical constraints of the WDM networks. In this study we propose an integrated model for efficient VWP design in WDM networks. We also develope a 3-phase algorithm, each of which deals with routing, wavelength assignment and route and wavelength reassignment, respectively. In our computational experiments, phase 1 algorithm can solve the problem to the optimality for medium size test networks. Phase 2 algorithm is an efficient heuristic based on a reduced layered network and can give us an effective wavelength assignment. Finally, phase 3 algorithm reconfigure VWP routing and its wavelength assignment to concentrate wavelength conversion nodes in the suggested VWP network.

  • The guidance controller of the conventional aircraft consists of inner-loop (autopilot) and outer-loop (guidance). If the guidance controller can be designed as an integrated guidance and control (IGC), the various advantages exist. The integrated guidance and control formulation can compensate for the effect of autopilot lag. An integrated approach also helps avoid the iterative procedure involved in tuning the guidance and autopilot subsystems, if designed separately. Integrated design is also less susceptible to saturation and stability problems. This paper presents an approach to IGC design for the unpowered air vehicle with the only flaperon using a combination of adaptive output feedback inversion and backstepping techniques. Adaptive neural networks are trained online with available measurements to compensate for unmodeled nonlinearities in the design process.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to reduce mobile social network services (SNSs) traffic using a mobile integrated SNS gateway (MISG) to improve network communication performance between the mobile client and SNS servers. The gateway connects the client and SNS servers using the contents adapter and the web service adapter and helps to improve communication performance using its cache engine. An integrated SNS application, the user's client, communicates with the gateway server using integrated SNS protocol. In addition, the gateway can alert the client to new SNS contents because of the broker server implemented by the message queuing telemetry transport protocol. We design and develop the modules of the gateway server and the integrated SNS application. We then measure the performance of MISG in terms of content response time and describe the result of the experiment.

  • Recently ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) technology is facing challenges from Integrated Service IP(Internet Protocol), IP router, Gigabit Ethernet. Although ATM is approved by ITU-T as the standard technology in B-ISDN, its survival is still in question. In the ATM networks, the Guaranteed Frame Rate(GFR) service has been designed to accommodate non-real-time applications, such as TCP(Transmission Control Protocol)/IP based traffic. The GFR service not only guarantees a minimum throughput at the frame level, but also supports a fairshare of available resources. We have studied different discarding and scheduling schemes, and compared their throughput and fairness when TCP/IP Traffic is carried. Through simulations, we know that only per-VC queueing with weighted Round Robin(WRR) can guarantee Minimum Cell Rate Among all the Schemes that have been experimented, we recommend DT-EPD(Dynamic Threshold-Early Packet Discard) integrated with MCRplus(Minimum Cell Rate) to support the GFR service.

  • Analyzing and simulating of today's complex electrical networks require the use of computer-aided engineering tools. In recent years, the rapid advances in micro-computer hardware technology have increased the availability of power application software on the personal computer, once the domain of mainframes and minicomputers, enabling efficient and cost-effective power system analysis. An interactive simulation and analysis software for a power system is developed and presented in this paper. The software is written in PASCAL and is designed for PC use. This paper presents an integrated software package to run PC-DOS for the analysis of electric power networks. The software is menu driven and controlled by prompts. These programs are intended to help users understand the process of power system analysis and design.
