본선미터링과 램프미터링을 이용한 고속도로 통합교통관리 전략 (Integrated Traffic Management Strategy on Expressways Using Mainline Metering and Ramp Metering)

  • 본 연구에서는 램프미터링과 요금소 본선미터링을 이용한 고속도로 통합교통관리 전략을 제시하였다. 램프와 본선의 통합 미터링을 위해 FREQ에서 램프미터링 진입허용 교통량의 최적화에 사용되는 Demand-Capacity 모형을 수정하여 최적 신호시간 산정모형을 제시하였다. 본 모형은 구간별 통과교통량을 최대화하는데 목표가 있으며, 본선 요금소 및 램프의 미터링 신호시간을 결정할 수 있다. 서울외곽순환선의 김포요금소~시흥요금소 구간을 대상으로 PARAMICS와 API를 이용하여 시뮬레이션 효과분석을 시행하였다. 시뮬레이션 분석결과, 본선미터링을 통해 램프미터링 단독 운영 대비 본선을 소통원활 상태의 속도로 유지할 수 있었으며, 정체구간에서 본선의 통과교통량이 14% 개선된 결과를 나타내었다. 또한 요금소에서의 신호운영으로 400m의 대기행렬이 발생되나, 정체의 분산으로 인해 본선과 램프 모두에서 보다 효율적 교통운영이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • Freeway Corridors consist of urban freeways and parallel arterials that drivers can use alternatively. Ramp metering in freeways and signal control in arterials are contemporary traffic control methods that have been developed and applied in order to improve traffic conditions of freeway corridors. However, most of the existing studies have focused on either optimal ramp metering in freeways, or progression signal strategies between arterial intersections. There have been no traffic control systems in Korea that integrates the freeway ramp metering and arterial signal control. The effective control strategies for freeway operations may cause negative effects on arterial traffic. On the other hand, traffic congestion and bottleneck phenomenon of arterials due to the increasing peak-hour travel demand and ineffective signal operation may generate an accessibility problem to freeway ramps. Thus, the main function of the freeway which is the through-traffic process has not been successful. The purpose of this study is to develop an integrated control model that connects freeway ramp metering systems and signal control systems in arterial intersections. And Optimization of integrated control model which consists of ramp metering and signal control is another purpose. Optimization results are verified by comparison with the results from MATDYMO.

  • In recent years, the many electric saving methods are studied because of difficulty of meeting the demand. The electric energy management such as monitoring of branch power consumption, demand control, metering, power quality monitoring, electric safety monitoring can make energy saving. The purpose of this paper is to develop a system which can provide the integrated management of various functions required for energy management by consumers. In this system all functions which were embodied into each devices are integrated into intelligent meter. The developed systems are tested and implemented by installing at consumer electric distribution panel.

정량펌프를 이용한 무토양재배시스템의 증산량 추정 및 그 응용 (Estimation of Transpiration Rate with a Metering Pump and its Application in Soilless Culture System)

  • 본 연구는 정량펌프를 이용한 정확한 증산량 추정 시스템의 구축 및 측정된 증산량과 환경요인과의 관계를 분석하는 데 있다. 정량펌프에 의한 양액공급 및 증산량 추정 시스템은 매우 안정적인 특성을 나타냈으며, 증산량 추정을 위하여 재배 시스템에 설치한 정량펌프의 공급시간과 투입량과의 관계는 직선관계를 나타냈다. NFT 및 고형배지 시스템에서의 적산일사량과 증산량을 실측한 결과 증산량은 일사량에 직접적인 영향을 받고 있었으며, NFT는 상관계수 0.98. 고형배지는 상관계수 0.92의 높은 상관관계를 나타내었다. 따라서 정량펌프에 의한 증산량 추정은 양액급액 제어에 효율적인 방법이며, 이러한 방법을 사용하여 적산일사량에 의한 관수량 조절 및 비료투입량의 결정에 적용이 가능하다. 따라서, 측정된 적산일사량에 의하여 증산량 추정이 가능하기 때문에, 정량펌프에 의하여 필요 관수량을 정확한 공급할 수 있다.

  • 댁내에서 사용하는 유틸리티 검침정보인 전기검침, 가스검침 그리고 수도사용량 데이터와 같은 이산적 특징의 시간영역 데이터를 주파수 영역으로 변환하여 분석하면 여러 가지 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 주파수 영역으로 변환된 신호를 고주파 성분과 저주파 성분으로 구분하여 패턴을 분석함으로서 거주자가 댁내에서 정상적인 생활을 하고 있는지 여부를 판단하는 알고리즘을 설계하고 구현하였다.

Cognitive Beamforming Based Smart Metering for Coexistence with Wireless Local Area Networks

  • The ZigBee network has been considered to monitor electricity usage of home appliances in the smart grid network. ZigBee, however, may suffer from a coexistence problem with wireless local area network (WLAN). In this paper, to resolve the coexistence problem between ZigBee network and WLAN, we propose a new protocol constructing a cognitive smart grid network for supporting monitoring of home appliances. In the proposed protocol, home appliances first estimates the transmission timing and channel information of WLAN by reading request to send/clear to send (RTS/CTS) frames of WLAN. Next, based on the estimated information, home appliances transmit a data at the same time as WLAN transmission. To manage the interference between WLAN and smart grid network, we propose a cognitive beamforming algorithm. The beamforming algorithm is designed to guaranteeing zero interference to WLAN while satisfying a required rate for smart metering. We also propose an energy efficient rate adaptation algorithm. By slowing down the transmission rate while satisfying an imperceptible impact of quality of service (QoS) of the receiver, the home appliance can significantly save transmit power. Numerical results show that the proposed multiple antenna technique provides reliable communications for smart metering with reduced power comparing to the simple transmission technique.

  • As the electric power industry has been revolutionarily transformed such that the distributed energy resources have been interconnected with power systems and a variety of energy service providers have been appeared, the need of Consumer Energy Portal as a core of two-way communication and service infrastructure between power suppliers and consumers has been gradually increased. Consumer Energy Portal can be thought of as a combination of hardware and software enabling two-way communication between energy service providers and equipment within the consumers' premises or a physical and logical link between consumers' in-building networks and wide-area access networks. In other words, Consumer Energy Portal can make the way the power industry has been traditionally operated the web-based way, enabling two-way interactions between energy service providers and consumers and mutual networking between end users' equipment. Thus, Consumer Energy Portal can be a kind of Service portal that provides new value-added services and efficient power operations that in the past. In this paper, for ESPs' integrated resources management, demand side management and value-added service provision, we have established the two-way access network that can gather real-time metering data using ZigBee technology and control physically networked equipment.

램프 진출교통량 비율을 이용한 램프미터링 운영방안 연구 (A Study of Ramp Metering System Using Off-ramp Exit Percentage)

  • 본 연구는 램프미터링 기법 중 제어 대상지 내의 진입로를 통합적으로 제어하는 시스템 통합제어에서 필요로 하는 O/D 자료를 대신하여 각 구간의 램프 진출비율을 활용한 램프미터링 방안을 제시하였다. 분석대상 구간인 서울외곽순환고속도로 계양IC~장수IC 구간은 교통량이 많고 IC간 간격이 짧아 제어구간 전체를 고려하여 통합적으로 램프를 제어하는 방법이 효과적이나 O/D 자료의 획득이 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 O/D 자료를 대신하여 램프의 진출비율을 활용하기 위해 대상지 현황 조사 및 정체현상에 대한 분석을 실시하고 램프진출비율 활용을 위한 타당성을 검증하였다. 또한 진출비율을 활용한 램프미터링 방안을 제시하고 현황 및 램프 대기행렬에 의한 하부도로 영향 고려 여부에 따른 대안을 구성하여 시뮬레이션을 실시하였다. 분석결과 본선의 통행속도와 통과교통량을 비교 분석하여 통과교통량 및 통행속도가 향상되는 결과를 보여 램프 진출비율을 활용한 램프미터링이 가능함을 확인하였다.

Single-Phase Energy Metering Chip with Built-in Calibration Function

  • This paper presents a single-phase energy metering chip with built-in calibration function to measure electric power quantities. The entire chip consists of an analog front end, a filter block, a computation engine, a calibration engine, and an external interface block. The key design issues are how to reduce the implementation costs of the computation engine from repeatedly used arithmetic operations and how to simplify calibration procedure and reduce calibration time. The proposed energy metering chip simplifies the computation engine using time-division multiplexed arithmetic units. It also provides a simple and fast calibration scheme by using integrated digital calibration functionality. The chip is fabricated with 0.18-μm six-layer metal CMOS process and housed in a 32-pin quad-flat no-leads (QFN) package. It operates at a clock speed of 4096 kHz and consumes 9.84 mW in 3.3 V supply.
