  • An Order Management System related to press die fabrication in automobile industry are developed in this research. This system is constructed by CORBA and XML to avoid disorder from data integration. Because CORBA can integrate diverse applications within distributed heterogeneous environments and XML can be made use of data exchange format, The developed system is available on almost any hardware platforms, operation system environments, and programming languages.

  • This paper reviews the combat survivability and supermaneuverbility which are principal factors in current and future high performance combat aircraft design. First of all, the fighter agility evaluation factors were presented. And then, emphasis was put on technologies associated with supermaneuverbility, such as vortex lift, high angle of attack aerodynamics, thrust vectoring and control system technologies that integrate each technology. The advanced nations' supermaneuverbility R/D programs were introduced as well.

  • This study deals with the application of knowledge engineering and a methodology for the assessment and measurement of reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of industrial systems using fault-tree representation. A fuzzy methodology for fault-tree evaluation seems to be an alternative solution to overcome the drawbacks of the conventional approach (insufficient information concerning the relative frequence of hazard events). To improve the quality of results, the membership functions must be approximated based on heuristic considerations. The purpose of this study is to describe the knowledge engineering approach, directed to integrate the various sources of knowledge involved in a FTA.

Personalization of Document Warehouses: Formalization, Design and Implementation

  • In the decision-making domain, a document warehouse is designed to meet the analysis needs of users who may have a wide variety of analysis purposes. In this paper, we propose to integrate the preferences and interactions of users based on profiles to the concept of document warehouses. These profiles guarantee the integration of personalized documents and the collaborative recommendation of documents between different users sharing common interests.

CMOS Analog Integrate-and-fire Neuron Circuit for Driving Memristor based on RRAM

  • We designed the CMOS analog integrate and fire (I&F) neuron circuit for driving memristor based on resistive-switching random access memory (RRAM). And we fabricated the RRAM device that have $HfO_2$ switching layer using atomic layer deposition (ALD). The RRAM device has gradual set and reset characteristics. By spice modeling of the synaptic device, we performed circuit simulation of synaptic device and CMOS neuron circuit. The neuron circuit consists of a current mirror for spatial integration, a capacitor for temporal integration, two inverters for pulse generation, a refractory part, and finally a feedback part for learning of the RRAM. We emulated the spike-timing-dependent-plasticity (STDP) characteristic that is performed automatically by pre-synaptic pulse and feedback signal of the neuron circuit. By STDP characteristics, the synaptic weight, conductance of the RRAM, is changed without additional control circuit.

XML 웹서비스와 JDBC를 이용한 분산 메타데이터 검색 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Distributed Metadata Searching System using XML Web Service and JDBC)

  • 전국의 167개 시,도에 있는 교육과학연구원에서는 지역의 교사들이 개발한 각종 멀티미디어 교육 자료를 웹 서비스를 통해 전국의 교사들에게 제공하고 있다. 또한 한국교육학술정보원과 한국교육과정평가원에서도 교육 자료를 개발하고, 더불어 전국의 교육과학연구원에서 제공하는 교육 자료를 통합하려는 계획을 세우고 있다. 그 첫 출발점이 바로 2001년 개발된 한국교육학술정보원의 국가표준 교육정보 메타데이터 형식과 전국의 교육청이 작성하고 있는 교육자료 메타데이터이다. 이 메타데이터를 통해 전국의 교육 자료가 통합되어 서비스될 수 있을 것이다. 하지만 각 시도별로 작성된 메타데이터를 어떻게 통합하고 관리하느냐의 문제는 전국의 교육 자료를 통합하여 서비스하는데 있어, 먼저 해결해야 될 중요한 문제이다. 따라서 본 연구는 분산되어 있는 각 시도의 교육정보 메타데이터를 통합하여 서비스하는 방법으로 XML 웹 서비스 방법과 JDBC를 도입한 3 단계 (-ter) 시스템을 제안해 보았다. 제안된 두 방법을 MS SQL Server 2000과 Oracle 9i에 각각 적용하여 성능평가 한 결과 두 방법이 서로 비슷한 응답시간을 보였다. 따라서 XML 형태의 메타데이터를 검색하는 방법으로 기존의 JDBC를 사용하는 것 이외에 웹 서비스를 이용하는 방법도 고려해 볼 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다.

환경교육에서 과학적 지식과 윤리적 가치의 관계 (Thre Relationaship of Scientific Knowledge and Ethical Value in Environmental Education)

  • The objective of this study was to review the meaning and problems of Scientific Knowledge and Ethical Value in Environmental Education. The ultimate goal of environmental education is shaping proenvironmental human behavior. The factors of human behavioral decision making are ideology, value, attitude and behavioral intentions. Ideology is a kind of belief system used by social groups to interpret their social world. The main elements of belief system are knowledge and value. The traditional thinking in education has been that we can change behavior by making human beings more knowledgeable and more valuable. In environmental education, the aim of scientific inquiry is to analysis cause-effect relation of human beings behavior and environmental phenomenon, and ethical education is to change the mind of human beings from zero-sum to positive-sum about the relations between human beings and natural environments. But, there are many problems of knowledge education and value education in environmental education. For example scientific knowledge without ethical value is dangerous to environment protection, and ethical value without scientific knowledge is vague. Therefore, we must recognize that the relationship of ethical value and scientific knowledge is not substitutional but complementary. The teaching-learning methods which can integrate knowledge and value in environmental education are rational decision making model. For this model, we can construct teaching contents with inquiry materials. To earn the benefits of specialization among several subjects in environmental education, social studies can focus on social science knowledge and decision making, science education can focus on pure natural science knowledge and scientific investigation, moral education can focus on problems of ethical value system, home economics can focus on practical action and environmental education(Environments in middle school, Ecology and Environments in high school) can integrate social-national science knowledge and ethical value in broad perspective about human beings and ecosystem. That is the method to protect from law of diminishing marginal utility of learning in environmental education.

치안과학기술 연구개발조직 설립에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Establishment of the Policing Technology R&D Organization)

  • 최근의 급격한 과학기술의 발전은 치안환경에 있어서 새로운 도전이자 기회가 되고 있다. 서구의 주요 선진국에서는 사회변화에 따른 치안역량 강화를 위해 일명 SMART Policing으로 불리는 경찰전략을 제시하여 첨단 과학기술을 적극 치안분야에 활용하고 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 우리나라의 치안과학기술 연구개발조직 설립을 위한 논의를 시도하였다. 연구결과, 1단계로 경찰청 내 기획조정관 실 또는 경무국 내에 연구개발과를 신설하여 R&D 기획총괄부서 설치를 제안하고, 2단계로 경찰청 부속기관으로 (가칭) 치안과학기술센터를 설치하여, R&D 관련 업무를 담당하고 있는 각 조직의 기능들을 통합하며, 3단계로 (가칭) 치안과학연구원을 설립하여 국립과학수사연구원 및 경찰대학의 치안정책연구소를 통합하는 방안을 제안하였다. 경찰의 연구개발조직 도입은 선택이 아닌 필수사항이 되었다는 점을 재차 강조한다.

Consumer Characteristics and Shopping for Fashion in the Omni-channel Retail Environment

  • Purpose: Omni-channel retailing is a new retail phenomenon. Consumers in the omni-channel environment do not rely on one channel but integrate different channels from the same retailers freely during a particular shopping journey. The purpose of this study is to better understand omni-channel shoppers in the fashion retailing context. The present study uses consumer characteristics -- fashion innovativeness, technology innovativeness, and fashion purchase involvement -- as determinants predicting consumers' omni-channel shopping intentions for fashion products. Research design, data, and methodology: Data were collected from 403 U.S. consumers, and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was performed to test proposed hypotheses. The survey for this research consisted of three parts. The first part measured consumer traits in terms of their innovativeness and purchase involvement. The second part was designed to measure consumers' omni-channel shopping intentions, and the third part gathered consumer demographic information. Results: The findings confirmed that fashion innovativeness, technology innovativeness, and fashion purchase involvement positively affected consumers' omni-channel shopping intentions. Conclusions: Fashion retailers should integrate various customer touchpoints and offer mobile-enabled technologies to boost consumer traffic to both online and offline stores. They also need to create a shopping environment that is optimized for customer engagement in various shopping processes and allow them to explore different shopping channel options for best purchase decisions.

Applying Theory Informed Global Trends in a Collaborative Model for Organizational Evidence-based Healthcare

  • Getting evidence in to practice tends to focus on strategies, theories and studies that aim to close the gap between research knowledge and clinical practice. The evidence to practice gap is more about systems than individual clinician decision making. The absence of evidence for administration and management in the organization of healthcare is persistent. Teaching nurses and providing evidence as the solution to evidence-based healthcare is no longer axiomatic. Previous studies have concluded that unit level strategies integrate multi-professional teams with organizational needs and priorities. This 'best fit' approach that characterizes how healthcare is structured and delivered. The published literature shows that increased readiness for change is aligned with integrated approaches informed by conceptual models. The Joanna Briggs Collaboration is the largest global collaboration to integrate evidence within a theory informed model that brings together academic centres, hospitals and health systems for evidence synthesis, transfer and implementation. The best approaches to implementation are tailored to local culture and context, benchmark against international evidence, combine a theory informed model and stakeholder perspectives to improve the structure and processes of health care policy and practice.
