4차 산업혁명에 따른 보험산업의 국제경쟁력 변화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the International Competitiveness of Insurance Industry in the wake of the Fourth Industrial Revolutio)

  • This study measures the internal and external competitiveness of 35 OECD countries in the insurance industry. We analyze whether variables related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution affect international competitiveness by applying a nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag model. As a result, the competitiveness of life insurance foreign companies in internal is showing positive responses in high income inequality countries. In addition, insurance companies in countries with low income inequality have shown high performance in external. The non-life insurance industry is less sensitive to shocks than life insurance. This is because non-life insurance is a more dangerous industry than life insurance and there are many restrictions on policies and regulations. The reason is that non-life insurance is a more dangerous industry than life insurance and there are many restrictions on policies and regulations.

생명보험산업과 손해보험산업의 경제적 파급효과 비교 분석 (A Comparative Study on Economic Effect of life insurance and indemnity insurance Industry)

  • 전 세계적으로 개인의 건강에 대해서 관심이 커져가고 있다. 이에 따라 개인의 건강과 관련이 높은 보험산업의 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 보험산업은 크게 생명보험산업과 손해보험산업으로 구분 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 생명보험산업과 손해보험산업에 대하여 산업연관분석을 이용하여 국민경제적 파급효과를 비교 분석하여 보고자 한다. 분석에서는 외생화기법을 사용하여 생산유발효과, 부가가치 유발효과, 취업유발효과, 물가파급효과를 분석한다. 분석결과는 손해보험산업의 생산유발효과는 2.7원, 부가가치 유발효과는 1.6원, 취업유발효과는 26.9명, 물가파급효과는 2.0%로 분석되었다. 반면 생명보험산업의 생산유발효과는 1.6원, 부가가치 유발효과는 1.0원, 취업유발효과는 16.5명, 물가파급효과는 1.2%로 분석되었다. 종합적으로 보면 손해보험산업이 생명보험산업의 파급효과보다 높은 것으로 나타났다.

한국 보험산업의 서비스품질 결정요인에 관한 연구 (A Comparative Study on Service Quality in the Korean Insurance Industry using SERVPERF)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of service quality on the customer satisfaction, the re-purchase intention and the word of mouth in the Korean insurance industry. In this study, the methodology for measuring the degree of service quality which has been adopted in the service quality research area was used. Data for this study were gathered from 1332 consumer life insurance and 689 consumer non-life insurance companies using internet survey method. The result of this study is summarized as follows: the determinants of service quality in the Korean life insurance industry are empathy, responsiveness and reliability, and the determinants of service quality in the Korean non-life insurance industry are empathy, and responsiveness, and the re-purchase intention and the word of mouth are affected by the customer satisfaction. As a result of the study, strategic implications will be suggested.

보험에 대한 대학생들의 인식수준에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cognition of University Students about Insurance Industry)

  • 본 연구는 미래 보험소비자라 할 수 있는 대학생들을 대상으로 보험에 대한 사회적 인식수준을 진단하고 이를 토대로 신뢰받는 보험 산업으로 거듭나기 위한 방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 대학생들을 보험 전공 학생과 비전공 학생으로 크게 구별하여 설문조사를 실시하였고 분석방법은 부분 순위자료(partially ranked data)의 수량화방법을 사용하였다. 대학생 대상 설문분석 결과 보험에 대한 신뢰도 수준은 설문대상 모든 집단이 보험에 대한 신뢰도가 다른 금융권(은행 및 증권)보다 비교적 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 모든 집단이 신뢰도를 저하시키는 가장 큰 요인으로 보험 모집조직의 전문성 부족과 보험금 관련 분쟁 등을 지적하였고, 전공 학생은 부정적 언론 보도를 비전공 학생들은 보험상품 약관의 복잡성 등을 주요 원인으로 나타났다. 보험산업 신뢰도를 제고하기 위해서는 보험상품 및 약관개선을 공통적으로 지적하였으며 보험전공 학생들은 학교보험교육의 강화와 보험의 언론홍보를 통한 보험의 미래 보험상 정립이 가장 중요하다고 지적하였다. 한편 보험 비전공 학생들은 민원발생시 신속한 보상처리 및 보험회사의 윤리경영 및 건전경영을 위한 보험회사의 자체노력이 보험산업의 이미지 제고 방안으로 제시하고 있다.

보험업의 기후변화 영향과 적응에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects and Adaptation of Climate Change in Insurance Industry)

  • The purpose of this study is to screen for the effects of climate change and climate change adaptation in the insurance industry. There is now a consensus that the climate is changing, with potential risk to the global economy and human health and so on. On the other hand, unknown is the extent to which insurance business pattern have already been affected. But the increase in damage due to climate change is likely to raise insurance company losses. In this regard, I conduct especially an effects of the insurance industry on climate change. And than, I analyzed what insurance companies would do to lessen the impact of climate change. As a result, the impact of climate change on the insurance industry is a huge increases in claims due to disasters and diseases arising from climate change. And another thing is growth in climate change-related legislation, regulations and reporting requirements such as financial soundness regulation and climate change risk disclosure. Therefore, the insurance industry needs to build a climate change adaptation strategies include capital raising, liquidity of assets, faithful debt management and so forth.

  • Background : Many of internists have been working for insurance industry. Insurance medicine is use of medical knowledge for insurance industry. There is social role of insurance medicine in terms of soundness of insurance administration. Recently social role of internists also have been being watched. Although theme of insurance medicine is medical risk selection, insurance claims administration also needs medical experts'opinion. There are not any corroborative study of medical consulting for insurance claims. Among insurance industry, someone called this medical review of insurance claims as 'medical claims review'. Aim : To investigate usefulness of medical review of insurance claims. Design : Questionnaire survey with claim staffs in one of insurance claim adjustment company in Korea. Methods : 265 claim staffs were divided into 4 groups and conducted survey using a questionnaire of 20 questions. Utility score, job satisfaction score, and difficult factors of claims administration were measured. Results : Utility score and job satisfaction score are highest in medical claims review group. The most difficult in claim administration to claim staffs was demonstrated to medical knowledge. Conclusion : Medical review of insurance claims is proved to be worthy. Document-based consulting method, namely medical claims review, is more useful than telephone-based simple query among claim staffs...Subjects of the medical claims review are medical record and it's principle is independent medical examination with evidence-based approach, it also has role of protecting fraud of insurance claims. Two main question types of medical claims review are verification and advice.

보험소비자의 보험업 신뢰 결정요인 : 중국 사례 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Trust for the Insurance Industry : a case of China)

  • 이 연구는 중국 보험소비자의 보험업에 대한 신뢰 결정요인을 구조방정식 모형을 통해 살펴보고, 생명보험과 자동차보험 간 보험소비자 신뢰 결정요인에 차이가 있는지를 잠재평균과 다집단분석을 통해 검증하였다. 분석결과, 중국 보험소비자의 보험업 신뢰 결정요인으로 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것은 보험회사의 정직성이었고, 정직성 요인 다음으로는 보험회사가 장래 보험금 지급을 제대로 할 수 있는지를 포괄하는 공신력이 신뢰 결정요인으로 작용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 배려는 신뢰 결정요인으로서는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 한편, 보험소비자의 신뢰는 중국 보험시장에서도 추후 재가입이나 주변 사람 추천 등 관계몰입으로 강하게 연결됨을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 앞으로 보험업이 더욱 견고하게 지속 성장하기 위해서는 무엇보다 보험소비자의 신뢰 구축이 긴요하다는 것을 시사해 준다.

Distribution Channel, Matching, and Welfare Asymmetry in the Korean Insurance Industry: A Hint from Matching Theory

  • Based on the observation that insurance companies in Korea, unlike those in other financial sectors and those in other countries, dominantly use the agent-based push-type marketing strategy, this paper hypothesizes that difference in distribution systems originating from characteristics of financial products can lead to welfare asymmetry between financial institutions and customers, merely due to their financial matching. For this analysis, we employ a simple matching theoretic model, try to understand the welfare implications of distribution systems from a matching theoretic perspective, and analyze the bottom of negative perceptions of insurance industry. The proposed model suggests that this welfare asymmetry derives mainly from financial matching through the distribution systems, which implies that any efforts to improve the insurance industry must consider changes in the matching process, namely the distribution system. We hope that this paper complements and extends the existing literature on insurance distribution systems in terms of methodologies and research subjects.

미용업 분야의 사회보험 가입 실태 및 분석에 관한 연구 -헤어, 네일, 피부, 메이크업 분야를 중심으로- (The study of Beauty industry parts' current social insurance status and its analysis)

  • The purposes of this study were to seek beauty industry parts' current social insurance admission status. To achieve the purposes, questionnaire was distributed to a total of 470 beauty artists and data were analyzed by statistical analysis. The result of study proposed that hairdresser showed the highest awareness and field of nail art showed the lowest awareness in social insurance admission status. Social insurance admission status shows that beauty artists in hair field had the most applicants of national pension, health insurance, workers' compensation insurance and beauty artists of skin field had the highest desire for social insurance application. This study hopes to be used as base line data of social insurance applicants' accurate status and application.

영국 2015년 보험법의 해상보험 담보특약 제도에 대한 연구 -한국과 중국의 판례를 중심으로- (A Case Study on the Warranty in Marine Insurance under the Insurance Act 2015 in the UK -The Case of Korea and China-)

  • In the UK's the insurance law 2015, a remedy for breach of warranty in marine insurance was introduced. Also, if the insured proves that breach of warranty in marine insurance does not affect damages, the insurer pays the insurance money to the insured. The UK's marine insurance law has served as the governing law that has been the standard for the marine insurance industry for a long time. Korea and China were heavily influenced by the UK maritime insurance law. Therefore, this study analyzed the cases of breach of warranty in marine insurance in Korea and China. Through this, the insurer avoid the insurance contract for an accident that occurred after the breach of warranty. this result will be different under the new revised insurance law system. With the revision to The Insurance Act 2015, one of the biggest change in the insurance system is that it is possible to remedy of the violations of warranty. However, such a revision of the law requires considerable attention as it also changes the interpretation and judgment of the courts. Accordingly, a practical response of the insurance industry is required. It is necessary to prepare for possible disputes in practice.
