이중단방향 반송파 거리측정기 비행성능 분석 (Flight Performance of a Dual One-Way Carrier Phase Ranging Instrument)

  • One of the error sources for microwave ranging is the instability of the oscillator that drives the microwave signals. Dual one-way ranging (DOWR) minimizes the oscillator effect by combining two one-way carrier phase signals from two transmitter/receiver instrument. The DOWR is first implemented in the GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment) satellites. Direct evaluation of the DOWR is not possible due to its extremely high accuracy. The flight performance of the GRACE DOWR is analyzed by applying several indirect methods. Comparison with the design noise level is discussed.

For the scene of sight, instrument should show the condition of flight and the pilot should catch the altitude, speed, pose and rate of lift of the airplane. The paper describes 3D flight visual training program of driving airplane in practice. It is for beginners using joystick in PC, implements airplane physical equations. And it uses rendering technology to implement vision parts of flying object.

  • Recently, domestic small airport development plans are being promoted centering on islands, and among them, Baengnyeong Island Airport is located very close to North Korea due to its geographical characteristics. In particular, since it is located in the P-518, which is prohibited airspace, it is essential to configure the arrival/departure flight procedure route similarly to the current ship in terms of securing flight safety. Therefore, in this study, a plan for airport location and facility scale was proposed by focusing on the runway operated for the purpose of aircraft operation through consultations with the Ministry of National Defense. It was proposed to meet the standards of the Airport Facility Act as an airport dedicated to domestic flights for airside facilities such as runway length and direction, target aircraft, landing pad, apron, runway and taxiway width appropriate for the topographical characteristics of Baengnyeong Island. As a result, the flight procedure is generally established as a two-way visual flight, but the 10-way arrival/departure procedure was planned to be changed to an instrument (non-precision) according to the specificity of the region. In addition, a flight procedure was established and presented for safe and systematic operation by reflecting the changes in airport facility size (landing pad, runway end safety area, etc.) following the change in instrument flight procedure in the visual flight procedure.

  • Obstacle defines all fixed and mobile objects, or parts thereof, that are located on an area intended for the surface movement of aircraft or extend above a defined surface intended to protect aircraft in flight or stand outside those defined surfaces and that have been assessed as being a hazard to air navigation. Aircraft operations are based on electronic supporting systems using radio frequencies to assist pilots. These frequencies can receive outside interference that change their courses or power, such as distortion, attenuation or reinforcements by an obstacle. This is a preliminary case study that shows the relation of instrument flight procedures and the degree of interferences introduced by a planned obstacle, which is a main bridge post, within the service volume of the radio navigation aids. For the purpose of this study, the case airport's data and it's VOR/DME and ILS systems' limitations are analyzed, as well as the relation of interferences between the obstacle and navigation aides were reviewed with the internal regulations in Korea.

  • 2002년 3월에 발사 된 GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment)는 미국과 독일 합작으로 개발된 최초의 지구중력장 측정 전용 위성으로 동일한 궤도를 비행하는 두 개의 위성 사이 거리 변화를 측정하여 지구 중력장을 추정하는 사업이다. 위성 발사 후 이전 보다 수 십배 정확한 지구중력장 모델을 생성하였으며, 지구중력장 변화도 30일마다 추정하고 있다. GRACE 위성의 핵심 관측기인 위성간 거리 측정기의 원리에 대해 소개하고, 운용 결과 및 성능에 대해 소개 하였다. 발사 전 성능 분석 단계에서 고려되지 못했던 거리측정기 오차 요인에 대해 분석하고, 향후 연구 방향을 제시 하였다.

  • NASA and Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) have been collaborated to develop the Space solar coronagraph instrument to detect the solar wind speed and corona temperature. As an intermediate stage, BITSE is the Balloon-Borne instrument to prove our proposed technical method which uses a polarized light in 4 different bandwidth wavelengths. In the presentation, the optical design based on the requirements, tests and alignment process for integrating the system are discussed.

  • 본 논문은 항공기의 비행정보를 효과적으로 시각화하기 위하여 Google Earth를 이용한 시스템 구현에 대해 기술한다. 이 시스템은 Google Earth 에서 제공하는 상세한 위성 영상 정보를 이용하기 위하여 COM API 를 이용하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 항공기의 다양한 장치에서 얻어진 비행정보를 OpenGL을 이용하여 각종 계기판에 표시하고 실제 비행모습을 가시화하기 위하여 Google Earth Map에 연동하여 표시하였다. 본 연구결과는 비행평가 및 개선에 이용될 수 있고 향후, 비행소프트웨어 개발에 적용될 수 있다.

  • BITSE is a balloon mission, which is a solar coronagraph to measure speed and temperature of the solar wind using 4 different wavelength filters and an pixelated polarization camera. KASI and NASA jointly designed, developed, and tested the solar coronagraph. Mainly KASI developed an imaging system and a control system, and NASA developed an optical system and mechanical structures. We mount the BITSE on Wallops Arc-Second Pointer (WASP) of Wallops Flight Facility, and launch it with a 39 mcf balloon of Columbia Scientific Ballon Facility. We will introduce the overall system of the BITSE.
