병원관리자의 직무관련 자질에 관한 연구 (Job Requirements of Top Management in Korean Hospitals)

  • This research identifies the most important domains in health care administration from now to the year 2005 and differentiates job skill, konwledge, and ability requirements necessary for successful management. Fellows of the Korean Hospital Association from about thirteen percents of the country responded to mail inquiry. Five of eleven domains, in order of ranked importance, were health care delivery concepts, leadership characteristics, quality management, cost/finance and human resources management. Results indicated that while a business orientation is needed for organizational survival, and equal emphasis on person-oriented skills, knowledge, and abilities is required.

성별에 따른 초등학생의 과학 학력과 인지적 언어 능력 및 그 상관 (Elementary Students' Academic Ability in Science and Cognitive Language Ability According to Gender, and their Correlation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the elementary students' academic ability in science and cognitive language ability according to gender, and their correlation. To this study, above two tests were conducted to 600 elementary students, and 496 students of them were analyzed. The test of academic ability in science was classified for lower students (1$\~$3 grades) and upper students (4$\~$6 grades), which consisted of scientific knowledge, process skill, and inquiry context. The reliability (Cronbach $\alpha$) of each test showed 0.7581 in lower students and 0.7831 in upper students. Also the reliability of cognitive language ability test was 0.7788. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were no significant differences in academic ability in science according to gender except 3rd grade. Second, there were significant differences in cognitive language ability according to gender. Third, in the correlation between academic ability in science and cognitive language ability, it showed low coefficient in lower students and high coefficient in upper students.

문제중심학습 기반 STEAM 현장체험학습 프로그램이 초등과학 영재의 과학 탐구 능력, 창의적 문제해결력 및 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Problem-Centered Learning Based STEAM Field Experience Learning Program on Science Process Skills, Creative Problem Solving Ability, and Scientific Attitude of Gifted Students in Elementary Science)

  • In this study, a problem-centered learning based STEAM field experience learning program was developed and the effects of applying it were investigated. The program was composed of 8 sessions by using problem-centered learning education method and integrating STEAM elements between disciplines. The contents of program are as follow. In the step of sharing problems and making a problem-solving plan, they understood the various examples and meanings of endangered species, explored the project activities, and made an inquiry plan. In the search and re-exploration phase, a smart device was used to investigate the appearance, habitat environment and cause of extinction for Clithon retropictus, and a site inquiry plan was established for each group. Then, they moved to the field to explore brackish-headed gallops and discuss ways to protect endangered species. In the step of creating a solution, a web-based report was produced as the final product using smart devices based on the results of the inquiry. In the presentation and evaluation stage, the produced web-based report was used to present each group, conduct mutual evaluation, and organize project activities. The developed program was applied to 6th grade 29 students enrolled in the J University Gifted Education Center. In order to find out the effectiveness of the program, tests of science process skill, creative problem-solving ability, and scientific attitude were conducted before and after of program learning, and the results were statistically analyzed by t-test. In addition, a STEAM program satisfaction test was conducted after project in order to find out the satisfaction of the class. As a result of application of the program, the results were significantly improved in openness, criticism, and creativity among the sub-factors of creative problem-solving ability and scientific attitude. Satisfaction with the STEAM program was also high, but no significant result was found in science process skill. Therefore, the program of this study could be influenced on improvement of creative problem-solving ability and scientific attitude of gifted students in elementary science.

생활 주변 자료 활용 수업이 학업성취도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Instructional Use of Materials Around Everyday Life on Science Academic Achievement: Focused on the Third and Sixth - Grade Level)

  • The purpose of this study is to guide and apply gettable and accessible materials around everyday life into classroom instruction, and to find out their effects on student academic achievement. In order to achieve it, this study was tried to develop and guide available materials around life in teaming activities, to provide a preliminary assignment that could apply the available materials, and to compare its academic achievement to one from field trip loaming. For the hypothesis testing, first, the experimental and comparing classes were selected based on the results of basic learning diagnostic evaluation, which conducted by the researcher being served as a full-time science teacher of the third and sixth grade of K elementary school in Kwangju for 2 years. Secondly, the instructional use of the available materials around life was applied to the experimental class. Also, the instructional use of the existing materials was applied to the comparing class. Finally, for the testing of the effects on academic achievement, the posterio test was implemented after conducting the experimental instruction in knowledge·understanding, inquiry process, and attitude domains classified by the unit characteristics. Using SPSS/WIN program the t-test was performed in order to compare the differences between the two groups. Major findings were as follows: 1) In the achievement test of knowledge·understanding domain, there were no significant differences at the 5% level between the experimental and comparing classes. It could be difficult to say, therefore, that the instructional use of the available materials around life was more effective than the instructional use of the existing materials. However, it had some effects on differences between the third grade final achievement test and sixth grade experimental class. 2) In the achievement test of inquiry process domain, there were some significant differences in that the sixth grade experimental class was higher than the third grade out-of classroom experience unit. It was indicated that the instructional use of the available materials around life had some effects on improving the students' inquiry ability 3) In achievement test of attitude domain, there were some significant differences. It was shown that the self-evaluation test of the sixth grade experimental class unit was higher than that of the third grade out-of classroom experience unit; Especially, the learning activities in the experimental class were more active, and the experimental practice ability was improved. It was presented that the instructional use of the available materials around life had some effects on the students' academic achievement in attitude domain. It was concluded from this study that the instructional use of the available materials around life was less effective on Knowledge understanding domain, but was effective on improving their scientific inquiry ability and interest on science education.

과학교과 웹 기반 탐구학습의 효과성 연구 동향 (Research Trends of Web-Based Inquiry Learning Effectiveness in Science Education: A Review of Publications in Selected Journals from 2000 to 2014)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내 외에서 진행된 과학교과 웹 기반 탐구학습 효과성연구에 관한 최근 동향을 분석하고 연구 및 설계 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 분석 대상 논문은 국내 외의 과학교과, 교육공학 관련 저명 저널 15개 학술지에 게재된 웹 기반 탐구학습 효과성 연구로 국내 16편, 국외 27편으로 총 43편이다. 논문 목록을 추출하기 위하여 '웹 기반 탐구학습', '탐구학습', 'WBI', 'Web-based inquiry learning', 'WISE' 등의 검색 키워드를 사용하였으며 과학 분야와 관련된 연구들 중 초, 중, 고교생을 대상으로 양적연구와 혼합연구로 진행한 논문을 최종 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 주제별 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내 외 모두 2000년대 초반에는 웹 기반 탐구학습 관련 연구가 많지 않았지만, 시간이 지남에 따라 관련 연구의 수가 증가하였다. 또한 국내의 경우에는 특정대상에 집중된 연구는 없었지만, 국외의 경우 중 고등학생을 대상으로 하는 연구가 상대적으로 많았다. 둘째, 많은 연구에서 웹 기반 탐구학습 프로그램을 독립변인으로 선정하여 여러 종속변인들의 변화를 측정한 실험연구와 개발연구가 시행되었다. 이러한 연구를 통해 많은 연구에서 과학교과에서 웹 기반 탐구학습은 과학 성취도와 과학 탐구능력의 향상에 효과적임을 확인하였다. 이 중 실험집단과 통제집단의 효과크기를 분석한 메타분석 결과, 중간정도의 효과로 보고되었다. 셋째, 국내 외 웹 기반 탐구학습에 관련한 연구들은 학습 환경 설계 시, 상이한 학습모형을 활용하는 것이 밝혀졌다. 국내 연구의 경우 웹 기반 탐구학습을 위해 웹사이트를 새로 설계하고 효과성을 검증한 경우가 많았지만, 국외에서는 다양한 테크놀로지 환경(WISE, SCY 등)을 활용한 연구들이 활발하게 진행되고 있었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 앞으로 웹 기반 탐구학습 관련 연구에서 고려해야 할 요소들을 제언하였다.

교사학습공동체 활동을 한 초임중등과학교사의 과학 탐구 수업에 대한 인식 (Inquiry-Based Science Instruction Perceived by Beginning Science Teachers in a Professional Learning Community)

  • 본 연구는 교사학습공동체에서 과학 탐구 수업이라는 공동의 목표를 자발적으로 설정하고 1년 이상 탐구 수업 계획, 실행 경험 공유, 반성을 함께 한 5명의 교사를 대상으로 과학 탐구 수업에 대하여 어떠한 인식을 갖고 있는지 개방형 설문과 개별 면담 자료를 통해 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구 참여 교사들은 과학 수업에서 학생들이 스스로 탐구를 수행함으로써 교육 과정에 제시된 과학 핵심 개념을 형성하는 것이 과학 탐구 수업의 목표라고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 연구의 참여교사들은 학생들이 과학 수업에서 탐구를 수행하면 '과학 핵심 개념 학습', '과학에 대한 흥미 향상', '과학적 사고력 함양', '과학의 본성 이해' 등의 과학 교육의 목표를 달성할 수 있다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 참여 교사들은 과학 탐구 수업에서 교사의 역할이 중요하다는 것뿐만 아니라 과학 탐구 수업에서 학생들이 탐구를 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위해 교사가 어떠한 역할을 해야 하는지 구체적으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 과학 수업에서 학생들이 능동적으로 탐구를 수행할 수 있도록 교사는 '핵심 개념 설정', '과학 실천 기반 교수-학습 내용 재구성', '학생의 수준 고려', '발문 및 피드백 제공', '과학적 개념 설명', '학생들의 활발한 논의 유도'하는 역할을 해야한다고 강조하였다.

대학수학능력시험에서 과학탐구 영역의 분석 (An Analysis of The Science Inquiry Items in Scholastic Ability Test for College)

  • The Ministry of Education established the plan to adopt a new college enterance examination system, so called Scholastic Ability Test for college, from 1994. The National Board of Educational Evaluation had carried out 7 experimental trials for the new examination system. Eventhough, the governmental officials advertised the purpose and characteristics of the new examination system, many students and parents did not understand the essential point very well. In this study the researcher tried to analyze the 7 trial examination items and the first Scholastic Ability Test for college carried out 1993. In this study, the researcher tried to find out all the items appeared in the 7 trials. In the analysis, all the individual items from the 1st trial to the 7th trial were used. The research results showed that the items were evenly distributed in all the four areas(Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Earth Science) of science content; however, they were heavily concentrated on data or information analysis categoris in the inquiry domain. In the domain of context, laboratory context was the major item context. The scores were also analyzed. The results showed that no significant difference between male and female students. However, science track students showed higher achievement scores than the non-science track student. The examination result showed high correlation with the tests routinely have carried out in schools. The over all analysis showed the new examination system showed very different characteristics to the conventional tests. Therefore, for the student to get successful result in the Scholastic Ability Test, they should change the way of study. They should try to understand scientific concepts rather than to memorize them. They should invest their time to carry out real experiments rather than to focus on the princples and laws of science. One of the most important thing would be for the student to apply what they learned to real life situations.

과학영재의 선발과 과학수행과의 관련성 연구: 지구과학의 사례 (A Study of Exploring Relation between Talent Search Procedure and Scientific Experiment Designing of the Gifted : A Case of Earth Science)

  • 과학영재교육의 사례를 살펴보는 것은 영재교육의 형성적 평가라는 차원에서 의미가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 학생들의 선발과정에서 얻어진 성취도검사자료, 구술시험, 창의력 검사, 문제해결능력검사 결과와 학생들이 입학후의 과학수행이 어떤 관계가 있는지를 알아보고자 했다. 과학영재 특히 지구과학반 7학년과 8학년을 대상으로 한 본 연구는 과학탐구의 기본적인 요소인 실험설계능력에 초점을 맞추었다. 실험설계능력으로 나타난 실제적인 과학 활동 수행의 결과가 선발과 어떤 관계를 갖는가를 알아봄으로써 과학영재프로그램의 재조명을 꾀하고자 하였다.

학생들의 과학적 설명을 강조하는 탐구 지향 교수 활동에 대한 예비 초등 교사들의 인식 (Prospective Elementary School Teachers' Perceptions of Inquiry-Oriented Teaching Practice, with an Emphasis on' Students' Scientific Explanation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how prospective elementary school teachers perceived teacher's inquiryoriented teaching practice, with an emphasis on students' scientific explanations based on scientific evidence. For this study, 94 prospective elementary school teachers were participated. 14 among 94 participants had chances to intensively experience this particular teaching methods for 15 weeks. All of the 94 participants observed the intended science teaching practice for 4th graders in two different elementary schools, which utilized the science talks emphasizing students' scientific explanation activity. For quantitative data analysis, they were asked to provide their reaction to the science teaching methods after their classroom observation. For qualitative data analysis, 5 among the participants, who had relatively long term experience with this teaching practice, were chosen to interview in order to understand their individual reasons of the ways they perceived about the inquiry-oriented teaching methods boosting students' scientific explanation. The results show that the prospective elementary teachers generally thought the emphasis of students' scientific explanation based on scientific evidence could enhance young elementary students' science content understanding, stimulate their curiosity/interests, and further develop their ability to engage actively in scientific discussions. However, some prospective teachers tended to think that the science teaching. methods would not be effective in terms of managing science classes, though. This study concludes that the prospective teachers tended to hold an endemic dilemma. On the one hand, they had their clear preference to the inquiry-oriented teaching practice as the most ideal teaching methods. On the other hand, they also had their persistent hesitance in using these methods due to their fear that elementary students might not adequately grasp the important science content when engaged in scientific discourse through an inquiry-oriented class.

초등 예비교사의 아동의 과학 개념 조사 (Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Exploration of Children's Science Ideas)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등 예비교사들에게 아동의 과학 개념을 직접 조사하고 분석하는 활동을 안내하고 수행하도록 하면서 과학 교수 학습의 원리에 대해 예비 교사들이 탐구적으로 접근할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다. 예비교사들의 탐구 과정을 자세히 살펴보고 이 과정에서 어떠한 긍정적 학습 경험이 있었는지 알아보고자 하는 것이 이 연구의 목적이다. 연구 대상은 C 교육대학교 2개 분반 68명이며 매주 90분씩 15주간 진행되는 '초등과학교육2' 강좌에서 실시되었다. 총 20모둠으로 구성하여 모둠별 프로젝트 형식으로 탐구 활동이 진행되었으며 설문, 수업 녹화 비디오, 수업일지, 모둠의 최종 보고서, 심층 면담자료 등이 분석되었다. 데이터 분석은 다중 사례 분석 방법을 통하여 사례 내 자료 분석과 사례 간 자료 분석과정을 거쳤다. 연구 결과 예비교사의 탐구 과정에서 다음과 같은 주요한 긍정적 학습 경험이 관찰되었다. 첫 번째로 예비교사가 아동의 과학 개념 조사를 준비하는 과정은 자신의 과학 개념을 점검하고 수정, 보완하는 계기가 되었다. 두 번째로 면담 질문을 구체화하면서 예비교사의 질문 구성 능력이 향상되었다. 세 번째로 예비교사들은 아동의 과학 개념이 다양하고, 상황에 따라 불안정하다는 것을 인식하였다. 네 번째로, 예비교사들은 아동의 과학 개념에 대한 조사를 바탕으로, 구체적인 지도 방안을 도출할 수 있었다.
