In this paper, we suggest a simple computational algorithm to obtain the queue length distribution in the finite queue, where the input process consists of several homogeneous two-state Markov modulated Poisson processes. With comparison to the conventional algorithm, is more practical, in particular, when a large number of input sources are loaded to the system.

The aim of this paper is to deal with a method to construct a separate fuzzy regression model with crisp input and fuzzy output data using a best response function for the center and the width of the predicted output. Also we introduce the crisp mean and variance of the predicted fuzzy value and also give some examples to compare a performance of the proposed fuzzy model with various other fuzzy regression model.

In this paper we study the convergence behavior of the least mean fourth(LMF) algorithm where the error raised to the power of four is minimized for a multiple sinusoidal input and Gaussian measurement noise. Here we newly obtain the convergence equation for the sum of the mean of the squared weight errors, which indicates that the transient behavior can differ depending on the relative sizes of the Gaussian noise and the convergence constant. It should be noted that no similar results can be expected from the previous analysis by Walach add Widrow.

In this paper a new method is proposed to identify a modulation method in the case of unknown digitally modulated input signals. The proposed identification method is implemented with an artificial neural network which is based on characteristic feature extracted from the instantaneous amplitude the instantaneous phase and the instantaneous frequency of the input signals. The proposed method was simulated with 9 type signals (ASK2, FSK2, FSK4, PSK2, PSK4, PSK8, QAM8, QAM16) in a noisy communication environment. The results show that the artificial neural network can accurately recognize all kinds of patterns.

This paper presents a new architecture for full-search block-matching motion estimation. The architecture is based on linear systolic arrays. High speed operation is obtained by feeding reference data, search data, and control signals into the linear systolic array in a pipelined fashion. Input data are fed into the linear systolic array at a half of the processor speed, reducing the required data bandwidth to half. The proposed architecture has a good scalability with respect to the number of processors and input bandwidth when the size of reference block and search range change.

In this paper, several modal identification techniques without using the input information are investigated. Generally, the peak picking method is most widely used, however, other methods may give better estimates particularly for the cases with close modes and/ or highly damped system modes. Example analyses were carried out on three different structures, and the estimated modal parameters by various methods are compared.

현재 ATM 망에서 다양한 형태의 스위치 구조가 제안 되었으며 스위치 구조는 크게blocking 과 nonblocking 스위치로 나눌 수 있다. nonblocking 스위치는 버퍼의 위치에 따라 input queuing, output queuing, shared buffer switch로 나뉘며 그 중에 입력 버퍼형은 하드웨어 구현이 쉬운 장점이 있으나 HOL블로킹으로 인하여 처리 효율이 낮다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 입력 버퍼형 ATM 교환기의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 가상적인 입력버퍼와 MUX를 이용한 입력버퍼형 반얀 스위치 모델을 제안한다.

최근 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 사용자의 요구가 증가되고 있다. 그러나 서버 시스템은 이러한 멀티미디어 데이터에 대해 사용자들에게 효율적으로 공급하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 운영체제에 멀티미디어 데이터 전송을 효율적으로 만족시키기 위한 방안으로 RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol) 데이터 처리를 SIO(Special Input/Output) 메커니즘 커널에 내장하는 SPTPIO(Special RTP Input/Output) 모듈을 제안한다.

본 논문은 입력 버퍼링 구조를 갖는 패킷 스위치에서 입력 확장 스위치 패브릭 구조를 통한 성능 개선에 관한 연구이다. 스위치 패브릭의 처리 능력 개선을 위한 다양한 구조에 대한 성능 및 설계 파라메터를 분석하고, 목적지별로 구분되는 입력 확장스위치 패브릭 구조를 제안하고 버스트 트래픽 환경에서 제안된 스위치의 성능을 분석한다.
