  • Statistical designs of experiments were applied in order to understand the effect of processing variables on the brightness of inorganic electroluminescent displays. The main effects and interaction of phosphor and dielectric layers are estimated to be statistically significant. Additional improvement was made on removing the pores in the thick films, using the defoaming in pastes and cold isostatic pressing in bonding the top and bottom parts of the inorganic electroluminescent devices. Such optimization contributed to the reduction in the corresponding threshold voltage and enhancement in the brightness.

  • Design and fabrication process of a full inorganic electroluminescent microdislay based on aluminum / nanostructured porous silicon reverse biased light emitting Schottky diodes are discussing. Being of a solid state construction. this micro-display is cost-effective, thin and light in weight due to very simple device architecture. Its benefits include also super high resolution, wide viewing angles, fast response time and wide operating temperature range. The advantages of full integration of a LED-array and driving circuitry onto a Si-chip will be also discussed.

  • Significant process in the performance and commercialization of full-color thin-film electroluminescent(EL) displays has been achieved. This is due to the remarkable progress made in the performance of exiting EL phosphors, development of new phosphor materials, and design of new EL phosphor structures. In this paper, we fabricated thinfilm EL devices with ZnS buffer and $BaTiO_3$ electric layer with on top and bottom of phosphor layer. The effect of ZnS and $BaTiO_3$ layer on the luminance of EL device were studied.
