Innovative technologies that should be used in the adaptive human resources policy process are identified.
The rapid evolution of ICT industry brings not only new services or products but also changes from common individual life to whole human society. Coping with these situations and survival, companies cannot help regarding R&D as the most important thing. So, discovering R&D projects which are suitable for the alternation is a big issue for many companies. To resolve the issue, KT has adopted Innovative Management Methodology developed by Strategos, which is co-founded by Gary Harmel. This paper describes this Innovative Management Methodology tailored to KT R&D. The methodology consists of five phases : focusing discovery, discovery, ideas/domains, domain elaboration & aiming point and R&D project proposal. Also, it shows some interim findings that came from the Innovative Management Process. Finally, the future plan for elaborating the methodology itself and generating new R&D projects is suggested.
Previous studies have focused on individual and organizational learning. Amid an increasingly complex business environment, a team system designed to improve flexibility and adaptability constitutes the most basic part of an organization. Still, team learning has rarely been discussed. In addition, team learning behavior, despite being an important part of a team process, is often mentioned as a team-level outcome variable. Given that team learning behavior involves constant changes in thinking and behavior, a shared belief among team members is needed in order to positively influence innovative performance of a team. In spite of that, there has been only limited discussion of it. Besides, few domestic studies have dealt with R&D teams that can clearly demonstrate team learning behavior and team innovative performance. This study is an empirical analysis of the impact of team efficacy on team innovative performance and the mediating role of team learning behavior based on materials collected from team leaders and their immediate subordinates in 268 R&D teams. The analysis showed that team learning behavior actually has a positive effect on team innovative performance. Team efficacy also turned out to have a positive influence on team learning behavior. Lastly, the study found that team learning behavior played a mediating role in the relationship between team efficacy and team innovative performance. Based on those results, the study has identified implications and suggested directions for future research.
Purpose - This study aims to analyze the relationship between trends in innovative EU industries and market distribution in smaller emerging markets under an open economy. Research design, data, and methodology - Although innovation was well-distributed, due to socio-economic factors following European integration, CEE had not achieved sustainable economic growth. However, this paper analyzes the differences among changes in CEE innovation for smaller emerging markets dominated since 2000. Market distribution has facilitated new markets for innovative industries, according to EU surveys and economic indicators. Results - The dominance of the local industrial market distribution has deterred innovation investment the survey shows that innovation investment has been shrinking, despite the EU's open innovation policy for CEE employment and R&D. For the CEE case, there were expectation gaps and uncertainty about whether to use the new distribution dominance or TNCs' innovation in smaller emerging countries without local industrial innovation. Conclusions - Innovation generates market growth and distribution power however, small growth requires stimulation, and creativity and innovative edge need further focus in local public and corporate strategy.
Sarcopenia, or reduced muscle mass and volume, is due to various factors such as senile change, neuronal degeneration, drug, malignancy, and sepsis. Sarcopenia with the aging process has been evidenced by the decline in muscle mass by 0.5 to 1% per year with 3-5% reduction in muscle strength for 10 years between the ages of 40 and 50, and a 1-2% of decline of mass every year in people aged 60-70. Therefore, early diagnosis and understanding the mechanism of sarcopenia are crucial in the prevention of muscle loss. However, it is still difficult to image changes of muscle microstructure due to a lack of techniques. In this study, we developed an animal model using denervated rats to induce a rapid atrophy in the tibialis anterior (TA) and imaged its structural changes using optical coherence tomography (OCT) along with histologic and ultrasound analyses. Ultrasound showed changes of overall muscle size. Histology revealed that the atrophic TA muscle displayed an increased size variability of muscle fiber and inflammatory changes. Three dimensional OCT imaged the changes of perimysial grid and muscle fiber structure in real time without sacrifice. These observed advantages of multimodal imaging using OCT and ultrasound would provide clinical benefits in the diagnosis of sarcopenia.
The globalizing economic processes based on knowledge-based economic systems have changed the environment of competition between corporations fundamentally. As a result, all corporations must carry out their own activities for innovation in order to strengthen their competitiveness continuously. However, it may be difficult for the companies to meet the demand of rapidly changing markets as well as technological changes by themselves. Therefore, most of companies intensify their interdependent collaboration with other corporations for carrying out innovative activities. This is a process of building innovation networks. Innovation networks can provide opportunities to learn latest technologies and at the same time reduce uncertainties for the future. In fact, innovation networks enable not only to provide information about technology, market etc. but also to create learning processes between innovative actors. Thus, innovation networks are the most significant factor to stimulate innovative activities as well as to generate the growth of companies. This paper argues about impacts of innovation networks on the result of innovative activities. Furthermore, this focuses on the analysis of characters of corporations as well as patterns between innovation networks and innovation results.

The development of Technopolis and the establishment of innovative ecosystem have made an important contribution in South Korea's latest industrial development and economic growth. Particularly, Daedeok INNOPOLIS which is responsible for the central role in the national science technology advancement was founded as the Science Town in the 1970s. Since then, it has undergone three-phases of development: Science Park, Technopolis and Innovation cluster. Daedeok INNOPOLIS is considered as an outstanding case of endogenous development strategy of Technopolis. This study attempts to consider the endogenous development strategy of Technopolis in Korea through the analysis of development characteristics of Daedeok INNOPOLIS in two different perspectives: changes of spatial structure and establishment of innovation ecosystem. Daedeok INNOPOLIS have experienced a series of endogenous growth that is consisted of advancement strategy and structural changes, which allowed Daedeok research town to grow into an innovative cluster. A sign of growth of Daedeok INNOPOLIS became apparent when its strategy to reinforce the academic-industry cooperation system by promoting participation from universities helped to overcome a functional limitation as a research institute integrated for the establishment of innovative ecosystem. Since then, the center for creative economy and innovation established in cooperation with large enterprise, has a role to build a startup ecosystem and to promote next level of development such as proactive fostering of venture companies for sustainable technopolis development.
