저온 잠열 축열조내의 열유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on Characteristics of Heat Flow of Low Temperature Latent Thermal Storage System)

  • The study on ice thermal storage system is to improve total system performance and increase the economical efficiency in actual all-conditioning facilities. To obtain the high charging and discharging efficiencies in ice thermal storage system, the improvement of thermal stratification is essential, therefore the process flow must be piston flow in the cylindrical type. With the relation of the aspect ratio(H/D) in the storage tank, the stratification is formed better as inlet flow rate is smaller. If the inlet and the outlet port are settled at the upside and downside of the storage tank, higher storage rate could be obtainable. In case that the flow directions inside the thermal storage tank are the upward flow in charging and the downward in discharging, thermal stratification is improved because the thermocline thickness is maitained thin and the degree of stratification increases respectively. In the charging process, in case of inlet flow rate the thermal stratification has a tendency to be improved with the lower flow rate and smaller temperature gradient in case of inlet temperature, the large temperature difference between inflowing water and storage water are influenced from the thermal conduction. The effect of the reference temperature difference is seen differently in comparison with the former study for chilled and hot water. In the discharging process, the thermal stratification is improved by the effect of the thermal stratification of the charging process.

압력 평형식 온도조절 밸브 성능 향상을 위한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Improvement of Pressure Compensating Temperature Control Valve)

  • Pressure compensating temperature control valve(TCV) is one of the important control devices, which is used to maintain the constant temperature of working fluid in power and chemical plants. The ratio of cylinder hole diameters of inlet and outlet is the main design parameters of TCV. So this needs to be investigated to improve the function of control of temperature and void fraction. In this study, numerical analysis is carried out with various ratios of cylinder hole diameters of the inlet and outlet in the TCV. Especial1y, the distribution of the static pressure Is investigated to calculate the new coefficient($C_{\upsilon}$) and resistance coefficient(K). The governing equations are derived from making using of three-dimensional Naver-Stokes equations with standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model and SIMPLE algorithm. Using a commercial code, PHOENICS, pressure and flow fields in TCV are calculated with different inlet and outlet diameters of the cylinder hole for cold and hot water passages.

반건식 배연탈황법에 의한 연소 페가스 중 $SO_2$제거에 관한 연구 (A Study on $SO_2$Removal in Flue Gas by Semidry Flue Gas Desulfurization Method)

  • The investigation on the removal of 502 gas fro.In flue gas which causes serious air pollution was made by using a semi dry flue gas desulfurization method. Experiments were carried out as a function of process variables which would affect SO2 removal efficiency. Process variables inclilded SO2 inlet concentration, inlet temperature of simulated flue gas, sorbent weight fraction, and volume flow rate of sorbent slurry. In this study, used sorbent was Ca(OH), and simulated flue gas was prepared by mixing pure SO2 gas with air. Experimental conditions were varied at 140~18$0^{\circ}C$ of inlet temperature of the simulated flue gas, 500~2000ppm of inlet SO2 concentration, 0.4~1.0% of sorbent concentration, and 10~25 mL/min of flow rate of sorbent slurry. Among process variables, inlet concentration of SO2 was found to be the most significant factor to affect SO2 removal efficiency. The concentration of Ca(OH2) had a lower effect on SO2 removal than SO2 inlet concentration removal amount was 0.108, 0.141, 0.153 g SO2/g Ca(OH)2 respectively- As 200 mmol of HNO3 was added into slurry to improve removal efficiency, initial pH was maintained and solubility of slurry increased, so that removal efficiency elevated. Adding over 200 mmol of HNO3 into slurry caused removal efficiency lower. Therefore it could be concluded the optimum was 200 mmol of HNO3 input.

주기적인 입구 속도 변동에 따른 원관 주위 유동 및 열전달 특성 (Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Circular Cylinder with the Periodic Inlet Velocity)

  • 본 연구에서는 단일 원관에서 입구의 유속이 일정한 경우와 주기적인 변동이 있는 경우에 대하여 시간에 따라 원관 주위에서 와류 분포와 온도 분포 변화를 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 양력과 항력의 시간 변화와 PSD(power spectral density)를 분석하여 유동의 주파수 특성을 규명하였다. 일정 입구 유속의 경우는 잘 알려진 칼만 와류 분포를 보여 주었으며 원관의 상하에서 교대로 와류가 발생하는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 주기적인 입구 유속 변동의 경우는 원관의 상하에서 동시에 와류가 발생하는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 두 가지 모두 시간에 따른 온도 분포 변화는 와류 분포 변화와 거의 유사하게 거동하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 일정 입구 유속의 경우의 와류 유동 주파수는 31.15 Hz 이며 주기적인 입구 유속의 경우는 와류 유동 주파수는 입구 유속의 주파수와 동일하게 15.57 Hz으로 나타났다. 원관 표면 평균 누셀수는 일정 입구 유속의 경우는 99.6이며 주기적인 입구 유속 변동의 경우는 110.7로 나타나서 주기적인 입구 속도 변동의 경우가 열전달이 11.1% 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

공학적 기법을 응용한 카드뮴의 흡입독성 연구를 위한 초음파 네뷸라이져의 설계 그리고 광산란 광도계를 이용한 성능평가 (Design of Ultrasonic Nebulizer for Inhalation Toxicology Study of Cadmium with Application of Engineering Methodology and Performance Evaluation with Light-Scattering Photometer)

  • Author applied several engineering methodologies to classical ultrasonic nebulizer to cope with it's demerits. After several trials and errors, we got the several meaningful results. To evaluate the modified ultrasonic nebulizer for inhalation toxicology of cadmium, author used light-scattering photometer. This paper is the one part of inhalation exposure systems for inhalation toxicology study of cadmium. According to the testing conditions, source temperature 50℃ and inlet-duct band temperature 150℃, aerosol generation results for sodium chloride and cadmium chloride were as followings: Coefficients of variation(CV) of sodium chloride and cadmium chloride for repeated trials were 3.38 and 4.77 for 10g, 2.47 and 5.02 for 5g, and 4.70 and 2.98 for 2.5g. All the CVs were within 10% of acceptance variability. Count Per Minute(CPM) changes of NaCl and CdCl₂ for 5 repeated trials were similar. CPM ratios of CdCl₂/NaCl were 1.13 for 10g, 0.76 for 5g, and 1.06 for 2.5g. Relative aerosol generation of cadmium chloride to sodium chloride was the highest in 10g. Efficiency increases of 24.50% for 5g NaCl, 14.91 % for 2.5g NaCl, and 16.48% for 2.5g CdCl₂ with respect to theoretical efficiency were observed but 0.04% efficiency decrease was observed in 5g CdC₂. According to the modifications of source temperature(20, 50, 70℃) and inlet-duct band temperature(20, 50, 100, 150, 200℃), aerosol generation results for NaCl and CdCl₂ were as followings: CPM trends for each quantity excepting 10g NaCl in inlet-duct band temperature 200℃ were similar, and the highest CPM was observed in source temperature 70℃ to each inlet-duct band temperature. The highest CPMs to 10, 5, and 2.5g NaCl were observed in source temperature 70℃ and inlet-duct band temperature 20℃. Aerosol generation of cadmium chloride was increased with the higher source temperature, excepting inlet-duct band temperature 200℃. The highest CPMs for 10, 5, and 2.5g CdCl₂ were observed in source temperature 70℃ and inlet-duct band temperature 20℃, and this trend was similar to NaCl aerosol generation The highest CPMs for 10, 5, and 2.5g CdCl₂ were observed in source temperature 70℃ and inlet-duct band temperature 20℃, and this result was similar to NaCl aerosol generation. Observed efficiencies of 5 and 2.5g NaCl were similar to ifs theoretical efficiency but -3.08% efficiency decrease of 5g CdCl₂, 17.47% efficiency increase of 2.5g CdCl₂ were observed. CPM ratio of CdCl₂/NaCl of 10g was different to 5 and 2.5g, and 2.5g ratio was higher than 5g ratio. In conclusion, to get maximum aerosol generation for NaCl and CdCl₂ will be the conditions that set the appropriate inlet-duct band temperature for each materials and increase the source temperature. Sodium chloride can be used to evaluate the performance and predict the concentration for cadmium aerosol in aerosol generator and inhalation exposure system.

압축점화 가솔린기관의 성능 및 배기특성 (Performance and Emission Characteristics of Compression Ignition Gasoline Engine)

  • This work deals with a controlled auto-ignition (CAI) single cylinder gasoline engine, focusing on the extension of operating conditions. The fuel is injected indirectly into electrically heated inlet air flow. In order to keep a homogeneous air-fuel mixing, the fuel injector is water-cooled by a specially designed coolant passage. Investigated are the engine performance and emission characteristics under the wide range of operating conditions such as 32 to 63 in the air-fuel ratio, 1000 to 1800 rpm in the engine speed, and 150 to 18$0^{\circ}C$ in the inlet air temperature. The compression ignition gasoline engine can be achieved that the ultra lean-burn with self-ignition of gasoline fuel by heating inlet air. For example. the allowable lean limit of air-fuel ratio is extended until 63 at engine speed of 1000 rpm and inlet air temperature of 17$0^{\circ}C$. It can be achieved that the emission concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxide had been significantly reduced by CAI combustion compared with conventional spark ignition engine.

  • This work treats a controlled auto-ignition (CAI) single cylinder gasoline engine, focusing on the extension of operating conditions. The fuel was injected indirectly into electrically heated inlet air flow. In order to keep a homogeneous air-fuel mixing, the fuel injector was water-cooled by a specially designed coolant passage. The engine performance and emission characteristics were investigated under the wide range of operating conditions such as 40 in the air-fuel ratio, 1000 to 1800 rpm in the engine speed, 150 to $180^{\circ}C$ in the inlet-air temperature, and $60^{\circ}$ BTDC in the injection timing. The ultra lean-burn with self-ignition of gasoline fuel by heating inlet air was achieved in a controlled auto-ignition gasoline engine. It could be also achieved that the emission concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxide significantly reduced by CAI combustion compared with conventional spark ignition engines.

냉장고 배출수 응축기 입출구 배관에서의 온도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Temperature Characteristics at the Inlet and the Outlet Pipes of a Refrigerator Drain Condenser)

  • 본 연구는 냉장고의 배출수 응축기 입출구 배관에서의 온도 특성을 알아보고 이를 예측하는 방법을 정립하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해서 빌트인 냉장고를 항온항습챔버에서 운전하면서 배출수 응축기 입출구 배관에서 온도를 측정하였다. 본 연구의 실험을 통하여 측정된 온도는 $37^{\circ}C$에서 $46^{\circ}C$로 변하는데 실제 온도는 측정된 온도 보다 $8^{\circ}C$에서 $22^{\circ}C$ 만큼 크게 차이나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 이렇게 차이가 나는 원인을 파악하였으며 이는 배출수 응축기 입출구 배관이 냉장고 본체에 부착되어 이를 통한 열손실이 크기 때문임을 알았으며 측정된 온도 결과로부터 입출구 배관의 온도를 예측할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 온도 계산 결과는 실제 냉매온도를 6% 오차범위의 정확도로 예측할 수 있음을 알았다.

태양열 발전을 위한 고온 축열 물질의 열전달 특성 (Heat Transfer Characteristics of High Temperature molten salt storage for Solar Thermal Power Generation)

  • The heat transfer characteristics of inorganic salt for high temperature heat storage material of solar power system were examined. The inorganic salts employed in this study was a mixture of $NaNO_3$ and $KNO_3$ and the operating temperature range was determined by measuring the melting temperature with DSC and by measuring the thermal decomposition temperature with TGA. The heat transfer characteristics was qualitatively obtained in terms of temperature profiles of salt in the tanks during the heat storage and heat release process as a function of steam flow rates, steam inlet temperature and the inlet position of steam. The effects of steam flow rates and inlet temperature of steam were experimentally determined and the effect of natural convection was observed due to significant density difference with temperature.

  • 고체 램제트 추진기관의 연소효율은 연소실 흡입공기 온도에 따라서 영향을 받고 있다. 이 흡입공기의 온도는 비행 마하수와 비행 대기의 온도에 따라 다르게 마련이다. 비행 고도가 변하는 상황이라면 홉입 공기의 온도뿐만 아니라 대기의 밀도 또한 변하게 되어 이들 성능에 미치는 영향을 연소 효율과 연관하여 조사하였다.
