Novel Third Harmonic Current Injection Technique for Harmonic Reduction of Controlled Converters

  • Three-phase controlled converters have many applications in the utility interfacing of renewable energy sources and adjustable speed drives as a rectifier or inverter. The utility line currents of these converters have a high harmonic distortion, which is more than the harmonic standards. This paper introduces a new technique for circulating the third harmonic currents from the dc-link to the line currents to reduce their harmonic contents. The proposed system uses a single-phase PWM converter to control the angle and amplitude of the injection current for each of the firing angle of a three-phase converter. A detailed analysis is introduced to achieve a relationship between the firing angle of the three-phase controlled converter and the power angle of the PWM converter. In addition, a detailed design for the other injection path components is introduced. A simulation and experimental work is introduced to prove the mathematical derivations. Analysis, simulation and experimental results prove the superiority of the proposed technique.

디스플레이용 외장패널의 가스사출공정 개발 (Development of a Gas Assisted Injection Molding Process for Exterior Display Panels)

  • Gas Assisted Injection Molding is a relatively new low-pressure injection molding technique that provides benefits such as reduced part warpage, excellent surface quality without shrink marks, greater design flexibility, etc. In the gas assisted injection molding process, the injected pressurized nitrogen gas flows through designed gas channels and forms hollow sections within the part. However, due to the characteristics of the gas, the design of the gas channels which are the paths for the injected gas is important in order to avoid defects such as gas blowout, fingering, etc. Therefore, in this study, the gas channel design for gas assisted injection molding of exterior display panels was conducted by examining the results of three CAE analyses. The designed gas channel was verified by conducting tryouts using a 450 ton injection molding machine with 3-stage pressure controlled gas kit. In addition, the hollow shapes which were formed by the gas with the installed gas channels were examined by examining the cross sections of the prototypes that were produced. As a result, it was found that exterior display panels can be produced without any defect by applying the gas assisted injection molding technique.

  • The control technique for an electronic engine is studied. For this study an IBM-PC and a throttle body fuel injection system are selected. The computer controls fuel injection, spark timing, exhaust gas recirculation and idle speed. Fuel injection is adjusted either by a feed back signal of a zirconia $O_{2}$ sensor or programmed logic for starting, deceleration, warm ing up and idle modes. When a 3-way catalytic converter is used with the electronic engine control system, CO, THC, and NOx were reduced more than 90% simultaneously.

DLL injection 기법을 이용하는 악성코드의 새로운 치료 방법 연구 (A Study on New Treatment Way of a Malicious Code to Use a DLL Injection Technique)

  • 개인 정보의 탈취에 필요한 악성코드는 Phishing, Pharming메일, VoIP서비스를 이용하는 Vishing, 모바일 금융을 위장한 SMiShing 등에 이용되어진다. 악성코드의 삭제나 치료는 앤티바이러스나 스파이웨어 제거 프로그램을 사용한다. 그런데 DLL Injection 기법을 이용하여 기생 동작하는 악성코드는 윈도우 운영체제에서 반드시 실행되어야 하는 프로세스인 Isass.exe, winlogon.exe, csrss.exe와 연계되어 있어 치료가 되지 않는다. 사용자가 바이러스의 치료를 위하여 임의로 프로세스를 강제 종료하려 한다면, 운영체제 시스템 전체가 리부팅이 발생하거나 블루 스크린이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 치명적인 결과를 발생하는 DLL Injection 기법을 이용하는 악성코드를 치료하는 새로운 치료방법을 제안한다. 새로운 치료를 위한 Thread에 종료함수를 임의로 삽입하고 Thread를 제어하여 DLL의 동작을 종료하고, 종료함수가 가지는 Thread를 다시 Injection 한 후 KILL DLL 클릭하여 삭제한다. 본 논문에서 실험을 한 치료방법과 해결하는 방안은 컴퓨터 바이러스의 대한 획기적인 차원의 연구가 될 것이며 경제와 금융사회의 유비쿼터스 보안을 강화하는 초석이 될 것이다.

  • Injection therapy can be used to treat the refractory and chronic pain situations that are not well responded to conventional therapy in TMD-patients. The target of injection is the intra-articular- and peri-articular tissue of joint and adjacent tissue like muscle. For the success of injectional therapy, selection of injection solution and technique is essential, so discussion will be done about that and one of the promising techniques of intra-articular injection, US-guided TMJ Intrar-articular injection, is also discussed.

구형파 신호 주입을 이용한 IPMSM 센서리스 제어에서 개선된 신호처리 기법 (IPMSM Sensorless Control Using Square-Wave-Type Voltage Injection Method with a Simplified Signal Processing)

  • This paper presents an improved signal processing technique in the square-wave-type voltage injection method for IPMSM sensorless drives. Since the sensorless method based on the square-wave voltage injection does not use low-pass filters to get an error signal for estimating rotor position and allows the frequency of the injected voltage signal to be high, the sensorless drive system may achieve an enhanced control bandwidth and reduced acoustic noise. However, this sensorless method still requires low-pass and band-pass filters to extract the fundamental component current and the injected frequency component current from the motor current, respectively. In this paper, these filters are replaced by simple arithmetic operations so that the time delay for estimating the rotor position can be effectively reduced to only one current sampling. Hence, the proposed technique can simplify its whole signal process for the IPMSM sensorless control using the square-wave-type voltage injection. The proposed technique is verified by the experiment on the 800W IPMSM drive system.

  • Recently, many researches for the improvement of DI diesel engines have been performed to reduce the fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. Among the various factors effect on combustion and emission in Dl diesel engines, one of the most important factors is the characteristics of the fuel spray. Accordingly, the investigation on the characteristics of spray is needed to analyze the diesel combustion exactly, In this study, the measurement technique fur injection rate using the Zeuch method was developed. In addition, the effects of nozzle hole number on the spray and flame were investigated by visualization experiment.

  • Lean burn gasoline engine is recognized as a promising way to meet better fuel economy. Lean burn engine is classified into port injection and direct injection(DI), DI is more active technique for improving fuel economy with ultra-lean operation, Nowadays, port injected lean burn engine has been produced by many Japan maker. Also, DI engine is also possible for production owing to improvement in control technique of spray, flow air fuel ratio. DI engine uses either homogeneous stoichiometric mixture or stratified mixture by controlling injection timing to be early or late respectively. HM(homogeneous mixture) is worse than SM(stratified mixture) in view of ultra-lean operation in partical load and Nox reducion by using EGR control. But, HM has advanteges in cold starting and emission reduction during transient operation, This paper describes experimental variables and bench test results of HM GDI engine.

Simulated Fault Injection Using Simulator Modification Technique

  • In the current very deep submicron technology era, fault tolerant mechanisms perform an essential function to cope with the effects of soft errors. To evaluate the effectiveness of the fault tolerant mechanism, reliability engineers use simulated fault injections using either saboteur modules or mutants in the simulation model. However, the two methods suffer from both inefficiency in the simulation mechanism and difficulties with the experimental setups. To overcome these inefficiencies, we propose the Verilog-based simulated fault injection (VFI) technique. VFI has the following advantages. First, modification of the design model is unnecessary. Second, the fault injection simulation procedure is simple and efficient. Third, various types of fault injection experiments can be performed. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, we developed a VFI environment using the ICARUS Verilog Simulator. From the experimental results, we were able to qualitatively evaluate the reliability of the target simulation models and to assess the effectiveness of the employed fault-tolerance mechanisms.

  • We present a powder injection molding technique of fabricating cemented tungsten carbide(WC) balls for milling and dispersing nano-powder in this paper. The conventional powder metallurgy approach is investigated to reveal its drawbacks of density non-homogeneity. New procedures of powder injection molding for the homogeneous high-precision WC balls, involving the binding process, powder injection molding process and sintering process, are presented in detail. Each process is investigated empirically and numerically to obtain its engineering information, which can used for process optimization.
