사출성형해석을 이용한 수직머시닝센터 ATC 툴 포트의 사출 게이트 위치에 따른 성형성 평가 (Evaluation of Formability Dependent on the Location of Injection Gate of Vertical Machining Center ATC Tool Port Using Injection Molding Analysis)

  • Injection molding is a manufacturing method of melting the polymer resin and injecting it into a mold to molding it into the desired form. Due to the short molding time and outstanding formability, complex products can be shaped with high precision and it is the most widely used polymer molding method. However, there may be areas that are not filled depending on the location of the injection gate where polymer resin is injected. Formability is determined by deformation and surface precision due to the impact of residual stress after molding. Hence, choosing the location of the injection gate is very important and molding analysis of injection molding is essential to reduce the cost of the mold. This study evaluated the injection formability based on the location of the injection gate of the vertical machining center ATC tool port using injection molding analysis and the results were compared and analyzed. Injection molding analysis was conducted on filling, packing, and deformation according to the location of the gate of the ATC tool port. From each injection gate location, filling time, pressure, and maximum deformation were compared. At gate 2, conditions of molding time and the location of the gate were far superior in production and quality. Gate 2 produced the smallest deformation of 0.779mm with the best quality.

  • 기업이나 기관의 데스크톱 및 엔터프라이즈 서버용 운영체제로 마이크로소프트사의 Windows가 많이 활용되고 있고 사이버 공격의 주요 대상이 되고 있다. 마이크로소프트사는 다양한 보호 기술을 제공하고 주기적인 보안 패치를 통해 노력하고 있지만, 여전히 DLL 인젝션(injection)이나 프로세스 인젝션 등의 공격 위협이 존재하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Windows 시스템에서 12가지 인젝션 공격 기법에 대해 분석하고, 4개의 응용 프로그램들을 대상으로 인젝션 공격 실험을 수행한다. 실험 결과를 통해 인젝션 공격의 위험성을 파악하고, 마이크로소프트에서에서 제공하는 인젝션 공격에 대한 완화 기술의 유효성을 검증한다. 실험 결과, 현재 응용 프로그램들이 여러 인젝션 공격에 취약함을 알 수 있었다. 최종적으로, 이러한 인젝션 공격에 대한 완화 기법을 제시하고 효용성을 분석하였다.

Investigation of the numerical analysis for the ultrasonic vibration in the injection molding

  • We studied the flow characteristics of the polymer melt in the injection molding process with ultrasonic vibration by using the numerical analysis. To minimize the error between the experimental data and numerical result, we presented a methodology using the design of experiments and the response surface method for reverse engineering. This methodology can be applied to various fields to obtain a valid and accurate numerical analysis. Ultrasonic vibration is generally applied between an extruder and the entrance of a mold for improvement the flow rate in injection molding. In comparison with the general ultrasonic process, the mode shape of the mold must be also considered when the ultrasonic vibration is applied on the mold. The mode shape is defined as the periodic and spatial deformation of the structure owing to the effect of the vibration, and it varies greatly according to vibration conditions such as the forcing frequency. Therefore, we considered new index and found the forcing frequency for obtaining the highest flow rate within the range from 20 to 60 kHz on the basis of the index. Ultimately, we presented the methodology for not only obtaining a valid and accurate numerical analysis, but also for finding the forcing frequency to obtain the highest flow rate in injection molding using ultrasonic vibration.

Particle Dispersibility Improvement of Polyester Fibers with a New Line Injection

  • In order to develop a new line injection system for spin draw yarn (FD SDY) fibers, the effect of various parameters in extrusion and melt line conditions on the dispersion and distribution of $TiO_2$ particles within FD PET fibers was investigated. As a result, the dispersibility of $TiO_2$ particles in a PET matrix is found to depend on the particle size and its surface characteristics. Surface modification of $TiO_2$ by dimethyl polysiloxane resulted in the improved dispersibility and affinity of $TiO_2$ particles in the PET matrix. Especially, residence time, mixing temperature, and mixing shear rate in the new line injection system under the SDY spinning process were very important parameters to minimize the agglomeration of $TiO_2$ particles. The FD SDY prepared by the new line injection system was superior to those using the polymerization process and the conventional masterbatch chip dosing process in the color-L and color-b values of the fibers.

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of velocity and vorticity on stratified mixture formation in the visualization engine. In order to investigate spray behavior, the pray velocity is obtained through the cross-correlation PIV method, a useful optical diagnostics technology and the vorticity calculated from the spray velocity component. These results elucidated the relationship between vorticity and entropy, which play an important role in the diffusion process for the early injection case and the stratification process for the late injection case. In addition, we quantified the homogeneous diffusion ate of spray using entropy analysis based on Boltzmann's statistical thermodynamics. Using these methods, we discovered that the homogeneous mixture distribution is more effective as a momentum dissipation of surrounding air than that of the spray concentration with a change in the injection timing. We found that the homogenous diffusion rate increased as the injection timing moved to the early intake stroke process, and BTDC $60^{\circ}$ was the most efficient injection timing for the stratified mixture formation during the compression stroke.

위상최적화 기법을 이용한 사출 금형 최적 설계 (A Study on Injection Mold Design Using Topology Optimization)

  • Topology optimization is applied for the optimal design of various products to ensure weight reduction and productivity improvement. Reducing the weight of the mold while maintaining its rigidity can ensure shortening of the production cycle, stabilization of the mold temperature, and reduction of mold material costs. In this study, a topology optimization technique was applied to the optimal design of the injection mold, and a topology-optimized model of the mold was obtained. First, the injection mold for the square specimens was modeled. Subsequently, a structural analysis was performed by implementing a load condition generated during the injection molding process. Topology optimization was performed based on the structural analysis results, and the models of the initial and topology-optimized designs were manufactured at 1/4 magnification using a 3D printer. Consequently, compared with the existing model, the weight of the topology-optimized model decreased by 9.8%, and the manufacturing time decreased by 7.61%.

박판 플라스틱 부품의 Outsert Molding 기술에 대한 연구 (A Study of Outsell Molding Technology for Thin-walled Plastic Part)

  • A work of thin-walled outsell injection molding technology for a plastic part of moldframe applicable in a display product was performed in the present study. The thin-walled plastic part is one of the core parts in the display product, which supports and protects a light guide plate and back light unit from external environmental conditions. It globally has the shape of rectangular and surrounds the light guide plate and back light unit for each class of inch, however, the cross section of the part is not clear to define the thickness. This causes the difficult problem of injection molding itself for the part. Moreover, a metal outsell part makes a difficult problem in injection molding over it. Because the mold temperature control of the parts are not uniform in thickness direction due to the metal part. A careful injection melding analysis and injection mold design from the analysis results have to be proceeded to obtain a production of precision moldframe. Therefore, optimization for injection molding process and analysis of warpage characteristics were studied. Consequently, it was possible from the presented virtual manufacturing process that the manufacturing of precision thin-walled outsell moldframe.
