자동차용 안개등 커버의 사출성형 품질 향상을 위한 2 단계 설계 최적화 (Two-Stage Design Optimization of an Automotive Fog Blank Cover for Enhancing Its Injection Molding Quality)

  • 사출성형에서 사출압력은 제품의 특성을 결정하는 주요인자이므로 성형품의 품질 향상을 위해 사출압력은 최소화 되어야 한다. 또한 휨 변형과 웰드라인은 사출성형에서의 대표적인 불량요인으로 사출성형품의 품질 향상을 위해 방지되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 사출성형품의 품질 향상을 위해 설계 절차를 2 단계로 나눈다. 첫 번째 설계에서는 공정조건을 제어하여 사출압력과 휨 변형을 최소화 하기 위해 직교배열표를 이용한 전산실험을 수행하고 이를 이용하여 근사모델을 생성한 후 최적설계를 수행한다. 두 번째 설계에서는 유동경로 개선을 통한 웰드라인의 발생을 방지하기 위해 해석모델의 두께를 변경하고 웰드라인 발생 유무를 평가한다. 이러한 설계절차를 통해 사출압력과 휨 변형을 최소화하면서 웰드라인을 방지하여 본 논문에서 제안한 설계방법의 유효성을 보이고자 한다.

  • 플라스틱 제품의 사출금형을 위한 게이트 위치의 최적 설계는 다양한 설계에 대한 3차원 사출성형 분석으로 도출할 수 있다. 이 논문은 사출금형에서 게이트 위치의 영향에 관한 연구이다. 게이트 위치는 플라스틱 제품의 생산성과 품질에 결정적인 영향을 미친다. 논문의 목적은 사출기를 사용한 자동차 에어 클리너 상부커버의 제조과정 중에 수지충전, 웰드라인, 사출압력에 대한 게이트의 영향을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 따라서 이 논문에서 이러한 문제들을 분석하기 위한 게이트의 위치는 4가지 경우로 변화를 주었다. 논문에서 각각의 게이트 위치 변화를 고려한 CAE 시뮬레이션은 사출금형공정에서 제품에 나타나는 결함의 원인을 예견하기 위하여 수행되었다.

  • Plastic injection mould have two kinds of trouble, one is in mould another in injection parts. Most of defects of the former take the cause in a design like in structure and working, the later weld line, transforming, sink mark, burning, flow mark, scratching, shading, black hole and so on. Most of problems of the later is difficult for making a clear definitely the reason of defects because of complexible. The purpose of this paper is to improve the quality of plastic injection mould and parts with inquiring the counter plan and rouble of the part of Flat TV Front Cover by flow control method and gas- assisted injection moulding. For minimizing defects from injection moulding parts, this paper was investigated with using computer aided injection mold filling simulations. Based on these numerical results, I established guidelines mould design and injection processing condition. As a results I got the improve of quality, minimizing surface defects moulded parts and troubles in mould.

  • Gas-assisted injection molding is an innovative low-pressure injection molding technique that can provide numerous benefits such as reduced part warpage, excellent surface quality without sink marks, low injection pressure, and greater design flexibility. However, the adoption of gas-assisted injection molding may cause unexpected defects if the gas channel design is not conducted properly. The objective of this paper is to broaden the understanding of gas-assisted injection molding by summarizing the design procedures and experimental results of the gas-assisted injection molding of a 17" flat monitor front cover. The gas channels were designed by using Moldflow(MF/GAS) simulations and a 450 ton injection molding machine with a 5 stage pressure control gas kit was used in the experiments.

자동차 타이로드 엔드 부품의 경량화에 관한 연구 (A Study of Light Weight of Tie Rod End in Auto Supplies)

  • This study is for the development of tie rod end, a parts of steering system, that would be changed with plastic material. The position of weld line is founded by the analysis of Mold Flow, computer software with FEM(Finite Element Method). Then new mold is designed by consideration with the locations of weld line. PA66(G/F 35%), PA6(G/F 45%), PET(G/F 45%) and PET(G/F 55%) are tested two types loading conditions for selecting suitable material, the requirement tensile load(more 19600N). PA6(G/F 45%) showed high mechanical properties in this study. And then, tensile strength was compared between conventional metal products and the injection molded products which were reinforced with 33%, 34%, 45%. 60% of glass fiber in matrix material. In the case of, the measured two types of tensile load values are 24500N (Method-1), 21560N (Method-2) and weight is decreased by 50% of conventional one.

  • 본 논문은 금형의 온도 변화가 사출성형품의 미시구조에 미치는 영향에 관해 연구했다. 웰드라인의 폭과 길이는 금형온도가 증가함에 따라 모두 감소되었다 그리고 금형의 온도에 따른 결정성수지인 PP(Polypropylene)와 비결정성수지인 PS(Polystyrene)의 치수안정성에 관해 연구했다. PS성형품은 금형온도가 높을수록 수축률이 줄어들고, 두께 편차가 적어졌고, PP성형품의 경우에는 결정의 생성으로 인해 상반된 경향이 나타났다. 캐비티의 충전성과 전사성은 금형온도가 높을수록 향상되었다.

  • Injection molding is widely used in producing various plastic parts due to its high productivity and the demand for high precision injection molded products is ever increasing. To achieve successful product quality and precision, the design of gating and runner systems in the injection mold is very important since it directly influences melt flow into the cavity. Some defects such as weld lines and overpacking can be effectively controlled with proper selection of gate locations. In the present study, the design of gate locations in injection molding of a dashboard for automobiles was carried out with CAMPmold, a PC-based simulation system for injection molding. A dummy runner was developed to simulate a runner system in order to increase the efficiency of the analysis. The numbers and locations of gates were varied in the present investigation as that an acceptable design was obtained in terms of reduced maximum pressure and clamping force.

사출성형에 대한 충전과 보압과정의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Filling and Packing Phases on the Injection Modeling)

  • Injection molding process factors such as molding temperature, injection pressure, flow rate and flow velocity, must be controlled properly in filling and packing phases in the injection molding process. In this study, effects of these factors on the injection molding were investigated through the flow analysis fur the filling and packing phases. Molding troubles like flow mark, weld line, sink mark, short shot and warpage can be caused by these injection molding process factors. Among them, the short shot was caused by that the packing pressure could not reach properly to the filling end part in the packing phase and hence the flow rate could not be supplied to the full. In addition, as the flow rate for the volumetric shrinkage during the frozen phase could not be supplied properly by the packing pressure, the short shot appeared. Here, the volumetric shrinkage reduced with increasing the packing pressure and also the warpage of molded part increased with increasing the packing pressure.
