  • 본 고에서는 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 인터넷 QoS(Quality of Service) 기술요소를 살펴보았다. 즉 Intserv/RSVP 기반의 플로우 단위의 품질보장기술, Diffserv에 의한 CoS(class of service) 기술, SBM과 같은 대역폭관리기술 등을 살펴보고 이들 요소기술이 조합된 예를 살펴보았다. 또한 차세대 인터넷에서의 SLS(Service Level Specification)를 고찰했다.

  • The world's unique geographical, multilingual, multiethnic, multiracial and multi religious Himalayan country Nepal has more than 100 years history on telephony service and it has been formulating appropriate policy and regulation for the adoption of new technology, introducing the competitive market environment for the overall development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructures and application of ICT service and tools for socio-economic transformation. The Nepalese market seems to be continuously growing and having huge demand of mobile telephony and internet subscriptions trend. The ICT infrastructure development in difficult geographical area is quite challenging and thus operators are focusing mobile telephony and mobile internet services. Nepal has been doing its best effort on formulating policy and regulation, adoption key strategies for ICT sector development and at the same time joining hands with international and regional bodies such as ITU, SAARC etc for ICT sector development. Due to geographical diversity, policy and regulatory barriers in some extent, power supply constraints and low affordability from customers on ICT tools and services, Nepal has been facing challenges on ICT infrastructure development. However, the national statistics on ICT, Networked Readiness Index and ICT Development Index show that Nepal has done quite good progress and is keeping its pace on ICT development despite the these challenges. Moreover, there seems to be quite uncovered market segments on internet service and big opportunity on ICT sector development in Nepal in the days to come.

  • 지식사회는 기존 보유 기술의 진화 방식이 아닌 전혀 새로운 기술 혁신에 의해 그 기반이 구성되고 있으며, 디지털 기술 기반 위에서 구성된 멀티미디어 네트워크에 의해 예전에 비해 수십 수백 배의 속도로 이루어지는 빠른 변화를 특성으로 한다. 따라서 이러한 환경에서 기대되는 디지털도서관 시스템 개발이 겨냥하는 미래 정보 이용자는 웹 이전세대의 이용자 수요나 정보 그 자체에 대한 가치 기준을 넘어서고 있다. 현재와 같은 멀티미디어 혁명과 네트워크 시장의 급격한 변화 추세에서 구현시키고자하는 디지털도서관을 정확하게 이해하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 이에 본 연구는 멀티미디어 정보 전송의 기반이 되는 네트워크 응용 현황과 기술적 동향을 일차적으로 검토하고, 미래 네트워크 인프라 구조의 변화를 조명하며, 멀티미디어 네트워크의 경제성과 정책과의 관계를 비판적으로 살펴보고자 한다.

  • In these days, providing flexible and personalized network services subject to customers' requirements becomes an interesting issue for network service providers. Moreover, because each network service provider own finite network resources and infrastructure, dynamic network provisioning is essential to leverage the limited network resources efficiently and effectively for supporting personalized network services. Recently, as the population of mobile devices increases, the location-awareness becomes as important as the QoS-awareness to provision a network service dynamically. In this paper, we propose a framework for providing location-aware dynamic network services. This framework includes the web user interface for obtaining customers' requirements such as locations and QoS, the network generator for mapping the requested locations and network infrastructure, the network path calculator for selecting routes to meet the requested QoS and the network controller for deploying a prepared network services into SDN(Software-Defined Networking) enabled network infrastructure.

  • Recently BIM technology has been expanded for using in construction project. However its spread has been delayed than the initial expectations, due to the high-cost of BIM infrastructure development, the lack of regulations, the lack of process and so forth. In construction site phase, especially the analysis of current research trend about IT technologies, virtualization and BIM service, data exchange such as drawing, 3D model, object data, properties using cloud computing and virtual server system is defined as a most successful solution. The purpose of this study is enable the cloud computing BIM server to provide several main function such as edit a model, 3D model viewer and checker, mark-up, snapshot in high-performance quality by proper design of VDI system. Concurrent client connection performance is a main technical index of VDI. Through test-bed server client, developed VDI system's multi-connect control will be evaluated. The performance-test result of BIM server VDI will effect to development direction of cloud computing BIM service for commercialization.

  • 최근 오픈 사이언스를 위한 플랫폼 개발이 국내외적으로 이루어지고 있으며, 과학기술 지식인프라의 데이터 처리 및 서비스 운영을 분석하여 과학기술 지식인프라의 성과확산을 위한 시스템 개발에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이 논문은 과학 기술 분야의 지식인프라를 위한 통합 아키텍처 설계 방법론을 도출하고 통합 아키텍처에서 데이터와 서비스의 통합수준 및 연계를 설정하는 그 방안을 제시한다. 연구 전과정에서 오픈 사이언스를 활용하기 위해서는 개별 서비스를 모듈 및 독립적인 기능 블록으로 구성하여 재사용 및 상호 운영될 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위해 제안된 설계 방법론은 과학기술 지식 인프라의 통합 서비스를 위한 서비스 통합을 다루기 위해 사용하며, 이는 다분야의 협력 참여연구자 및 엔지니어의 계산 수행 결과 및 산출물의 솔기없는 접근을 지원할 수 있다.
