  • The hand is a very specialized organ that functions to obtain information and to execute motor acts essential to human interaction with the environment. Loss of hand function through infections affects the mechanical tasks that the hand performs and psychological adjustments to their disability. Infection is a disastrous complication of hand injuries and adequacy of circulation is of greatest importance to prevention of infection. Careful debridement, incision, and adequate drainage and antibacterial treatment are of great importance. Optimal care of the infected hand demands that carefully surgical care, early postoperative exercises and other therapy. Hand rehabilitation has grown as a specialty area of both physical and occupational therapy. It is essential that the surgeon and therapist work together, and communicate freely-all of which generally require daily contact. Treating the psychological loss suffered by the patient with a hand infections is an integral part of the rehabilitation therapy as well. Treatment techniques, Whether thermal modalities or specifically designed exercises, are used as a bridge to reach a further goal of returning to functional performance.

  • In RFID systems, the anti-collision algorithm is being improved to recognize Tag's ID within recognition area of the reader quickly and efficiently. This paper focuses on Tag collision. Many studies have been carried out to resolve Tag collision. This paper proposes a new N-ary Query Tree Algorithm to resolve more than Tag collision simultaneously, according to the value of m(2 ~ 6). This algorithm can identify more tags than existing methods by treating a maximum 6 bit collision, regardless of the continuation/non-continuation Tag's ID patterns. So, it extracts maximumly different $2^6$ bit patterns per single prefix in recognition process. The performance of N-ary Query Tree Algorithm is evaluated by theoretical analysis and simulation program.

  • A program was developed to analyze the electrical characteristics and harmonic distrotion in a two-dimensional silicon BJT. The finite difference equations of the small signal and its second and thired harmonics for basic semiconductor equations are formulated treating the nonlinearity and time dependence with Volterra series and Taylor series. The soluations for three sets of simultaneous equations were obtained sequantially by a decoupled iteration method and each set was solved by a modified Stone's algorithm. Distortion magins and ac parameters such as input impedance and current gains are calculated with frequency and load resistance as parameters. The distortion margin vs. load resistancecurves show cancellation minima when the pahse of output voltage shifts. It is shown that the distortionof small signal characteristics can be reduced by reducing the base width, increasing the emitter stripe length and reducing the collector epitaxial layer doping concentration in the silicon BJT structure. The simulation program called TRADAP can be used for the design and optimization of transistors and circuits as well as for the calculation of small signal and distortion solutions.

  • Environmental Product Life Cycle Management is an activity for defining and describing the product, process or activity environmentally. Especially, the main responsibility for the environmental impact of products lies in the design phase of product. Designers cany a heavy responsibility to determine technical, economic and ecological properties of the product. So in order to help designers, structured understanding and application of treating large amount of data and infonnation should be considered. This paper presents a methodological approach for decision supporting to build Product Life Cycle Management system and show a set of database modeling. Additionally, a key issue for databases is the quality of the provided information.

  • The welded defects are usually called user's unsatisfaction for appearance and functional usage. For checking these defects effectively without time loss, setup of weldability estimation system is an important for detecting whole specimen quality. In this study, after catching a rawdata on welded specimen profiles and treating vision processing with these data, the qualitative defects are estimated from getting these information by laser vision camera at first. At the same time, the weldability estimation for whole specimen is produced. For user friendly, the weldability estimation results are shown each profiles, final reports and visual graphics method. So, user can easily determined weldability. By applying these system to welding fabrication, these technologies are contribution to on-line setup of weldability estimation system.

  • In existing Convolutional Neural Network (CNNs) for object recognition task, there are only few efforts known to reduce the noises from the images. Both convolution and pooling layers perform the features extraction without considering the noises of the input image, treating all pixels equally important. In computer vision field, there has been a study to weight a pixel importance. Seam carving resizes an image by sacrificing the least important pixels, leaving only the most important ones. We propose a new way to combine seam carving approach with current existing CNN model for object recognition task. We attempt to remove the noises or the "unimportant" pixels in the image before doing convolution and pooling, in order to get better feature representatives. Our model shows promising result with CIFAR-10 dataset.

  • Gypsum has been known as a prominent material for improving alkali soil, and this material can be supplied easily in large scale by recycling waste gypsum plasterboard from construction and demolition sites in advanced countries. In April 2000, in the part of western Jilin Province in China, where alkali soil spread vastly, we conducted a cultivating experiment of corn and rice after treating with granule recycled waste gypsum at six alkali soil fields which total area were 14000$m^2$. We confirmed that pH of soil decreased in a short period and alkali soil changed soft a desirable condition for farm work, and furthermore, gypsum caused to accelerate the growth of a plant, both corn and rice.

  • Study on the removal of Acid Green 20 by adsorption on indigenously prepared activated carbons from cow dung, mango stone, parthenium leaves and commercial activated carbon have been carried out with an aim to obtain information on treating effluents from tanneries. The effects of various experimental parameters have been investigated by following the batch adsorption technique. Adsorption data was modeled with the Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms. Removal of Acid Green 20 was found to be favorable using Biomass ash and could be considered as alternatives to commercial activated carbon for the treatment of tannery effluents, especially for the removal of dye(s).

  • It is important to select appropriate antimicrobials for the treatment of infection according to the results of antimicrobial susceptibility tests (ASTs), yet the clinical isolates are sometimes susceptible to antibiotics that are clinically ineffective or this is due to technical error of the ASTs. So, interpretive reading of ASTs is needed and especially for the ${\beta}$-lactams for treating $Enterobacteriacae$. This review describes the interpretive reading of ASTs according to natural antimicrobial resistance and the mechanisms of mechanisms, with giving special attention to the antibiotics phenotypes for $Enterobacteriacae$. Further, as all the diffent tissues have a different antimicrobial concentration for identical antimicrobials, more information is needed on the antimicrobial tissue distribution for the appropriate treatment of infection. • Berberis aristata (family Berberidaceae), known as 'Daruharidra' in Ayurvedic system of medicine, is an important medicinal plant used extensively for treating a variety of ailments in various systems of indigenous medicine. Being an important medicinal plant it is being adulterated and in the absence of any pharmacognostic information it is very difficult to check the adulteration. The present study was therefore, carried out to provide the requisite pharmacognostic details. Morphological, anatomical and phytochemical aspects of B. aristata were carried out. Diagnostic features of B. aristata root were identified and characterized from the above investigations and presented in the present communication. Some of the diagnostic features of the root drug noted from the anatomical study are patches of pericyclic fibre, pitted sclerieds, berberine containing cells and heterocyclic medullary rays. HPTLC analysis showed three distinct bands of which berberine was identified as the major constituents. The $R_f$. value of other bands was also calculated.
