Information management of products and services in every industries is gaining importance for resource planning and maintenance. In this paper, we analyzed the information classification systems for railway industry. International and domestic classification systems, such as HS, UNSPSC, eCl@ss and ISIC, are reviewed; as a result this paper presents the findings and the various issues. We proposed to-be images in adopting and utilizing the classification systems. Using the integrative information classification systems could make efficient electronic procurement, supply chain management and e-Business of railway services.

Recent research on information and communication technology and Internet-of-Things indicates that convergence and integration facilitate the development of various technologies. Similarly, related academic theories and technologies have also gained attention. This paradigm shift facilitated the convergence and integration of academic disciplines. In particular, information systems have become initiators of change. However, only a limited number of studies have been conducted on information systems. To address this gap, this study explores the future direction of information systems based on the core concepts and results of the comparative analysis conducted on research trends. We considered 48,102 data obtained from international top journals from 1980 to 2015. We analyzed journal titles, authors, abstracts, and keywords. We conducted the network analysis on existing collaborative studies and performed comparative analysis to visualize the results. The results provide an in-depth understanding of information systems and provides directions for future research on this area.

In this paper, a new approach is proposed for the error detection dedicated to MPEG-4 video coding by using the digital watermarking. In the process of encoding, the proposed scheme abstracts the macroblock features of headers, motion vectors, and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coefficients, which are embedded in the quantized DCT coefficients as the digital watermarks. The decoder performs the accurate error detection through the watermark extraction. Simulation results demonstrate that the error detection ability of the proposed approach can be significantly enhanced, and that digital watermark embedding incurs little degradation to the picture quality.

인터넷의 보급과 발전으로 그 동안 지리적인 한계로 인해 불가능했던 협력작업이 인터넷 가상공간에서 가능하게 되었다. 그 동안 이메일, 전자게시판, FTP와 같은 정적인 형태의 협력작업에 관한 연구에서 웹을 이용한 동적인 협력작업에 관한 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 최근에는 웹을 이용한 다양한 협력 기능이 요구되면서 공동 브라우징 (Co-browsing)과 같은 단순한 웹 협력이상의 다양한 협력작업을 만족시킬 수 있는 실시간 웹 협력 (Synchronous Web-Collaboration) 시스템 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 웹 협력 시스템 구축에 필요한 시스템 구성요소와 설계 방법을 소개하고 비즈니스 특성을 고려한 실시간 웹 협력 시스템 구축 모델을 제시한다.

The information revolution is sweeping through the global economy. Information technology is transforming the structure of competition. The successful implementation of information technology is dependent on the effectiveness of information systems planning. However, it is very difficult to select an appropriate methodology for information systems planning given an organization situation. A contingency model is proposed on the selection of an appropriate approach depending upon the organizational situation. Although the contingency framework is not yet theoretically proved, the approaches suggested here turned out to be of benefit to the cases of the two real world projects studied. These approaches attempt to combine Business Systems Planning of IBM and Critical Success Factors in two different manners to make planning process more efficient and effective.

Information Systems Planning(ISP) has gained considerable interest among researchers and practioners in recent years because of the impact of information systems on organization performance. This study aims at analyzing organizational characteristic factors, information system characteristic factors influencing ISP's performance. The organizational characteristic variables are considered organizational strategy, organizational culture, and managerial leadership. And the IS characteristic variables are considered IS resource and IS strategic role. The ISP's performance variables are measured BP-ISP integration effectiveness and ISP efficiency. For data on the 493 sampled company, a mail survey using a questionnaire was conducted in this study. The following results were obtained. First, there was significant relationship between organizational characteristics and ISP's performance. Specially, organizational strategy and organizational culture affect the both of BP-ISP integration effectiveness and ISP efficiency. Second, there was significant relationship between Information Systems characteristics and ISP's performance. Specially, IS resource and IS strategic role affect ISP efficiency.

Increasingly, systems analysts are expected to have behavioral and administrative skills as well as technical skills. This paper presents the results of 739 information systems (IS) mangers (220 responses) regarding the importance of various skills needed by systems analysts. The survey instrument skill items were gathered from those reported in previous similar studies.

Contemporary research on information technology (IT) continuance is plagued by inadequate understanding of the continuance concept and inappropriate use of theories for studying this phenomenon. Following a review of the IT continuance literature, this paper identifies some of the extant misconceptions about continuance research and suggests theoretical avenues for advancing this research in a meaningful manner. Based on these insights, an extended expectation-confirmation theoretic model of IT continuance is proposed.
