The Next generation network may describe one integrated network by IP (Internet Protocol) convergence and combining various access technologies. The IP version 6 (IPv6) becomes fundamental protocol and the terminal offered various services is having mobility, multihoming, and intelligent as well as smaller. In this convergence network, which integrate mobile network, broad cast network, and Internet as well as PSTN, can provide all of the service. In this context, we will briefly present that the end node should be required ubiquitous computing and networking. That is to say that we must guarantee the end node in any time, my place, my where, and offer continuously services to the node. As like this, Service Mobility is given if a user can obtain subscribed and personalized services consistently even if connected to a foreign network service provider. In other words, Service mobility allows users to maintain access to their services even while moving or changing devices and network service providers. In this paper, we have to refer technical consideration items to make the service mobility framework.

DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a new media service that can provide CD quality audio, various data service, interactive and high quality mobile communications through popular media such as terrestrial broadcasting, satellite, cable TV, and internet. In this paper, a new EPG(Electronic Program Guide) application model is proposed. The model is based on DAB and combines a DAB receiver and PCs so that it can take advantages of using various multimedia services and plenty of internet contents. The developed EPSD(EPG Provider System on DAB) has Web-based Server/Client structure and povides EPG functionalities to client PCs over internet. Therefore, the DAB receiver can be smaller and cheaper, and can develop abundant data services on internet. It can also provide high quality video services and be expected to become an important component in future home network systems.

Mobile IP protocol introduced in RFC3344 provides a node of the mobility service through IP tunneling mechanism in the IP networks. In this paper, we describe a method to provide a mobility service for VPN(Virtual Private Network) nodes on the MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) network. The MPLS VPN considered here is based on "BGP/MPLS VPNs" presented in RFC2547. PE(Provider′s Edge) routers, which are able to provide VPN services on the MPLS network, are associated with mobility agents to support Mobile IP This proposed mechanism applies when a VPN node moves to other site of the same VPN, or when it moves to other site of a different VPN, or to the ordinary Internet site. We implemented this mechanism in PE routers and analyzed the performance of the MPLS VPN with mobility support on the testbed.

In this paper, we propose the converged profile and authentication scheme for supporting converged media services of broadcasting & communications convergence in fixed mobile convergence networks. The proposed scheme supports the management of access, service, mobility and IPTV profiles on subscriber and a function of open API(Application Program Interface) for providing the subscriber profile for the third party service provider with the PUSH/PULL method. The open API is based on a web service and a REST(Representational State Transfer) and provides various services for the third party service provider with ease. In addition, the proposed scheme supports a function of SSO(Single Sign-on). After user succeeded in establishing an access connection, user can sustain the same authentication state with this function although connected access network is changed or IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) service network is attached. We evaluate and analyze the performance of the proposed scheme through the implementation of CUPS(Converged User Profile Server) system test-bed.

We studied the current state-of-the-art of Smart TV, the challenges and the drawbacks. Mainly we discussed the lack of end-to-end solution. We then illustrated the differences between Smart TV and IPTV from network service provider point of view. Unlike IPTV, viewer of Smart TV's over-the-top (OTT) services could be global, such as foreign nationals in a country or viewers having special viewing preferences. Those viewers are sparsely distributed. The existing TV service deployment models over Internet are not suitable for such viewers as they are based on content popularity, hence we propose a community based service deployment methodology with proactive content caching on rendezvous points (RPs). In our proposal, RPs are intermediate nodes responsible for caching routing and decision making. The viewer's community formation is based on geographical locations and similarity of their interests. The idea of using context information to do proactive caching is itself not new, but we combined this with "in network caching" mechanism of content centric network (CCN) architecture. We gauge the performance improvement achieved by a community model. The result shows that when the total numbers of requests are same; our model can have significantly better performance, especially for sparsely distributed communities.

정부는 시내전화 및 지능망서비스(080)에 대하여 2003년 상반기부터 번호이동성 서비스를 제공하도록 규정하고 있다. 번호이동성 서비스는 사업자간에는 경쟁을 활성화시키고 가입자에게는 이용의 편리함을 제공하기 위한 서비스로 서비스 유형으로는 서비스제공자 이동성(Service Provider Portability), 위치이동성(Location Portability) 및 서비스이동성(Service Portability)이 있다. 그리고 서비스 구현방식으로는 크게 교환기 기반 방식(Remote Call Forwarding)과 지능망방식(All Call Query, Query on Release)이 있다. 국내 번호이동성 서비스 적용 방식은 지능망 방식인 QoR 방식으로 결정되었으나 최근의 통신환경의 변화를 감안하여 서비스 도입 초기의 효율적인 서비스 도입을 위한 종합적인 재검토가 이루어지고 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 QoR 방식의 번호이동성 서비스를 위하여 교환기에서 필요한 필요 기능 및 기술적 문제점들을 교환계위별로 고찰하고자 한다.

TCP/IP based remote system using internet presented the method to access and control all the types of resources connected to network system over time and space. In this paper, We studied a resource control method through a mutual communication of a system association composed of service user, provider, and manager of the network system for the web based remote control system. The service users require the resources, and its providers are a variety of devices and digital electronic products which can provide the services in a network system. The service manager who operates the whole system performs the role to interconnect its users with its providers. Through an experiment, an implemented system confirmed flexibility, stability, and extensibility of the method presented in this paper.

The quality of service for the voice and data communication is one of the most important elements in the mobile cellular networks. This quality has the time varying characteristics depending on the wireless network environments. In order to guarantee the quality of service at the predefined level, the mobile service provider needs to collect all the information about the level of quality served by the local base stations. In the conventional method the information on the service quality is measured and collected by the moving vehicle adopting the global positioning device. However this method requires relatively high cost and does not cover all the service areas. In this paper a new method is proposed utilizing a measurement node with local area communication transceiver and the mobile user equipment. In the proposed method the node communicates with the user equipment periodically to monitor the information on the service quality. The resulting information is reported to the measurement server in the mobile network. This method could be applied to either the circuit or the packet based networks. It also has an advantage in terms of the cost efficiency compared to the conventional method considering the required the equipment and the human resources.

The SLA (Service Level Agreement) is once determined between service provider and users in B3G networks so that the network service must be provided as QoS management. Here, the network situation is changed as the time flow, and the service environment is also altered. Hence, dynamic QoS management scheme should be considered. In this paper, we propose a handover scheme for dyanamic QoS as the network situation in B3G networks. The heterogeneous networks can be used for dynamic QoS management in B3G networks.
