The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of nursing information on the level of need fulfillment and anxiety of the emergency patient's family members. The quasi-experimental study was designed using a noneqivalent control group non-synchronized design. During the first period, 30 subjects were assigned to the control group and 25 to the experimental group at a late period. The experimental group was provided with nursing information via guide booklet designed by the researcher. The control group received only routine care. Data was collected from January 31 to April 16 in 1996 at the K hospital in Taegu and analysed by chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation with SAS program. The instruments used for this study were the Family Needs Scale developed by Jung and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory developed by Spielberger. The results of this study were summarized as follows : 1. The first hypothesis that the family members who received nursing information will have greater need fulfillment than family members who did not receive nursing information was supported. 2. The second hypothesis that the family members who received nursing information will have lower anxiety level than family members who did not receive nursing information was not supported. 3. The third hypothesis that the more the need of family member of emergency patient was met, the lower the anxiety level, was not supported. In conclusion, it was proved that nursing information about the emergency room provides family members with more need fulfillment, but did not decrease the anxiety level.

Personalized reminder systems have to identify the user's current needs dynamically and proactively based on the user's current context. However, need identification methodologies and their feasible architectures for personalized reminder systems have been so far rare. Hence, this paper aims to propose a proactive need awaring mechanism by applying agent, semantic web technologies and RFID-based context subsystem for a personalized reminder system, which is one of the supporting systems for a robust ubiquitous service support environment. Rescorla-Wagner model is adopted as an underlying need awaring theory. We have created a prototype system. called NAMA(Need Aware Muiti-Agent)-RFID. to demonstrate the feasibility of the methodology and of the mobile settings framework that we propose in this paper Moreover, to test if the proposed system works in terms of scalability, a simulation was performed and the results are described.
As object models and hybrid knowledge are increasingly used in current information systems development, Is-a structures need to be more formally defined, and subsequently subsumption related anomalies need to be detected with minimal declaration of meta knowledge. This paper extends a metagraph in the hybrid environments and demonstrates its utilities for detecting such anomalies that can occur from semantics and dynamics unique to the hybrid knowledge and data structure.
This paper proposes a method of extracting automobile license plate information using color image processing and separation of character regions. The hue and saturation of color information is need for license plate extraction and the specified standard location ratio is need for character region separation. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can detect license plates and separate character regions successfully.

The widespread use of android application is required for candidates to use in general life. Candidates need an application that doesn't change the screen a lot for the convenience and need a system that has fewer overloads. In this paper. we have implemented a program that helps students to improve their study using a note of wrong answers. vocabulary game and health management with using balanced diet, alarm, messenger, information of university and stretching.

Currently, Information and communication devices can be use criminal investigation, including search and seizure confirmed the fact communication of the communication restriction information storage medium for the common purpose of providing material system, the system provides data and communications. This paper focused on Privacy and open of information data by the Prosecutor and Police in korea. Privacy rights include that transparency information, communication, and protections for the rights of the individuals. It is necessary to be lawfulness of processing, individuals consent while Prosecutors investigations. especially we need explicit condition and National agency need to obtain in order to legitimize their processing of personal information data. This study was inspired by the growing importance of information as a resource for improving the quality of life, the lack of systematic research about the information environment of Koreans in the United States and the lack of understanding of the relationships between individual characteristics and information seeking behavior. During 1990 and 1991, 204 Koreans, 18 years old and more, residing in the City of Los Angeles, were interviewed. Generally the information seeking behavior of Koreans appeared to be similar to that of the socioeconomically advantaged segment of the general public. They are relatively well aware of their information needs. capable of articulating them, and willing to pursue information to meet their needs. Major findings include: (1) the dominance of educational information needs: (2) positive feelings of hope, curiosity. and interest associated with information needs: (3) the tendency to pursue information with the expectation of potential rather than immediate rewards: (4) the expertise of information sources and their ability to provide information directly relevant to a need as criteria for selecting an information source: (5) the generally heavy reliance on informal interpersonal information sources and the high ranking of professionals as the starting point for information seeking and in judgements of usefulness: and (6) the dominant use of Korean ethnic information sources. Statistically significant correlations found at the 0.05 level relate (1) level of education, age, and gender with type of information need, the feelings associated with an information need, motivations to seek information, and the use of information sources, (2) proficiency in English and length of residence in the United States with the extent to which ethnic information sources are used, and (3) pattern of daily use of media with the use of media in seeking information.

In these days the online full-text database are increasing, but conventional full-text information retrieval system has been proved with high recall ratio and low precision ratio. One of the disadvantages of full-text IR system is that it is not designed to reflect the user's information need it is due to the fact that full-text IR system has been designed based on physical and logical structure of document without considering the content of document. Therefore, the purpose of the study examined feasibility of document content structure in full-text IR system by resolving such disadvantages of conventional system. 180 Journal articles have been analyzed to find common structure of document content and finally general model of the structure of journal articles were developed. The result shows that have relation to between user's cogntive schema structure, user's information need and contents structure of document. Thus it is concluded that full-text IR system need to be designed by using document content structure in order to meet user's information need more effectively.

Information scientists need not to answer whether future libraries will be a digital library or not, but to answer how they are structured and served effectively to users currently. 'The library with walls' or 'the library as place' need to be existed in the future, but 'digital library without the wall' or 'virtual library' will need to be studied continuously. This study has tried to reveal the existing problems of digital libraries and their future environment after considering the ambiguous concepts of various types of electronic libraries and their efforts for library automation, and the changed information retrieval circumstances during the last 30 to 40 years through a qualitative document study. As a result, the major findings and suggestions are prepared. The library of the future will be a part of local and national cooperative systems, be filled with the intelligent use of old and new technologies, and be able to su n.0, pport both a place with extensive collections and convenient, easy, & free access to remote intellectual resources. Also, the information storage and retrieval (ISAR) to the future library system would easily provide users with any types of data retrieval system by anybody rather than by an expert or a specialist, so called 'A&E retrieval' in the coming 21th century. It will be highly possible that the future society changes to the information marketplace whose data may be recognized as an intangible assets.
This study identified the purchase decision-making process of outdoor wear consumers and examined the hypothesis that consumer satisfaction mediates the relationship between purchase decision-making process and repurchase intention. Data were acquired from a survey and analyzed with descriptive, factor analysis, reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis. Respondents were 454 adults who have purchased outdoor wear. The results are as follows. First, the purchase decision-making processes of outdoor wear consumers consisted of a series of steps: need recognition & passive information search, active information search, evaluation of alternatives with practical attributes, evaluation of alternatives with unpractical attributes, purchase decision, and post-purchase evaluation. Second, four purchase decision-making processes (except for need recognition & passive information search and active information search) had significantly positive effects on consumer satisfaction. Third, the need recognition & passive information search, the evaluation of alternatives with unpractical attributes and post-purchase evaluation had significantly positive effects on repurchase intention. Lastly, the partial mediation of consumer satisfaction in the relationship between two purchase decision-making processes (evaluation of alternatives with unpractical attributes and post-purchase evaluation) and repurchase intention were indicated. This academic study will help to understand the purchase decision-making processes of outdoor wear and allow companies to obtain information (from the industrial aspect) about which process to invest in and how to manage the process.
