A study on the automatic information gathering and management system of the wireless devices for reinforcing wireless intrusion detection and prevention (무선랜 침입 탐지/차단 강화를 위한 무선기기 정보 자동 수집, 관리 시스템 구현에 관한 연구)

  • 현대 사회는 노트북, 스마트폰 등 무선 통신기기의 발전, 확산 및 유무선 통합 컨텐츠의 활발한 개발로 인해 어느 때보다 무선랜의 사용이 확산되고 있다. 하지만 물리적인 침투를 해야만 공격 및 내부정보 접근이 가능한 유선 네트워크에 비해 전파 도달 범위 내의 어디서나 누구나 접속이 가능한 무선 네트워크는 상대적으로 보안 취약점을 내포하고 있다. 이러한 취약점 개선을 위한 가장 중요한 정보가 무선 네트워크에 접속 대상인 인가, 비인가 사용자 정보를 얼마나 효율적으로 수집 관리하는 가에 있다. 현재는 OA 및 보안 관리자가 수동적으로 수집,관리하는 무선기기 정보를 본 논문에서는 자동화 수집 시스템 및 무선 침입차단시스템(WIPS)와 연계한 시스템 아키텍쳐를 제시하고 구현하였으며, 실제 이동통신사 무선 네트워크에 적용하여 정보 수집율이 향상되고 외부 침입에 대한 능동적 대처 능력이 향상되었음을 확인 하였다.

Rendezvous Issues in AD Hoc Cognitive Radio Networks

  • Rendezvous is a process of two or more cognitive radio nodes gathering on the same channel at the same time for a negotiation to establish data communications. This paper discusses rendezvous issues in cognitive radio networks. It details why rendezvous is an issue in cognitive radio networks and how rendezvous works. It classifies channel access methods, and details sequence-based channel-hopping methods. It surveys existing works on blind rendezvous and compares the proposed algorithms in terms of the maximum time to rendezvous. This paper discusses the properties that an efficient channel-hopping rendezvous algorithm should have and illustrates common issues in the existing rendezvous methods. It also explains open research issues in the rendezvous area.

  • 디자인 개발시 사용자 참여의 중요성이 날로 증가하고 해지고 있는 램에서의 사용성 평가는 여러 가지 면에서 극히 제한적이며 비용이 많이 들고 시간 또한 많이 소비된다. 또한 이러있는 것은 자명한 사실이다. 그중 사용성 평가에서의 사용자 참여는 비교적 활발한 상태이다. 하지만, 현재 기본적으로 행한 평가는 광범위한 정보의 수집과 빠른 피드백을 얻는데 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이상과 길은 배경을 바탕으로 실험실에서의 사용성 평가에서 생기게되는 여러 가지 요인 등에 의해 제한되었던 사용자들의 참여를 극대화하기 위하여 초기 디자인 프로토타입을 웹상에서의 사용성 평가 정보 취합 도구로 활용하는 방안을 모색하였다.

  • Corporate sectors and individuals are in need of valuable and relevant information to swiftly adapt to the Internet-driven business or educational environment. This research employs the intelligent survey agent and online application form to help people to locate the information they would want from internet quickly. Based on Internet GUI environment, this user-friendly outline survey and outline application form program uses the agent concept to provide the customized, individual information to the users who registered their survey answers, to the extent of increasing the interest and participation of users. The system helps along with the decision making process, by quickening the information gathering process.

  • According to the Policy for ' e-Korea construction ' of Korean government, investment of information system during the Past decay are dramatically increasing. More than a half of this investment is cost of hardware infrastructure. So, accurate hardware sizing are essential for higher efficiency of investment. Accurate hardware sizing benefits are generally viewed in toms of the avoidance of excess equipment and lost opportunity costs by not being able to support business needs. Unfortunately, however, little research effort to make the hardware sizing methodology are doing. We propose a sizing method for information system in public sector. This method is determinated empirical study that are gathering and analyzing cases, making method and reviewing expert. Finally we are proposed calculating method for hardware components that is CPU, memory, internal and external disk according to the application system type which is OLTP, Web, WAS. Our study certainly will act as a catalyst for higher investment-efficiency of the future information programs in public sector.

  • The study identifies the importance of informational and legislative support in ensuring gender equality. It determines the relevance of gender inequality, the main problem, which is confirmed by research and statistical information. The study aims to determine the methods of collecting information and legal regulation of gender issues and the possibility of solving them by public authorities. The main methods of gathering information are census surveys, questionnaires, surveys on public service websites, work with local communities, surveys in nursing homes and orphanages, special survey programs, and election polls. The paper considers the legal regulation of gender inequalities at the international, state, local and organizational levels. According to the analysis of the problem of gender inequality, it is established that the problem is practically eliminated in many developed countries, while countries with low incomes face gender inequality constantly.

  • 네트워크 망 관리를 위해 사용되는 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)는 다양한 네트워크장비에 대해 표준화된 정보를 제공한다. 네트워크의 고속화, 대형화로 인해 관리를 위한 정보 수집 트래픽이 증가하고 정보 수집 시간 지연 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 SNMP를 이용한 정보수집 방법의 문제점을 파악하여 네트워크 관리를 위한 트래픽량을 줄이고, Polling 소비 시간을 최소화하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 관리 대상 시스템의 각 링크의 트래픽 변화 유무를 예측하여 불필요한 수집을 줄이는 방법이다. 관리 대상 시스템이 많고, 주기적으로 관리 정보를 수집하는 경우 제안한 알고리즘이 효율적으로 사용될 것으로 기대된다. Enterprise 네트워크 형태의 학교 Campus NMS에 적용하여 알고리즘의 타당성을 증명하였다.

Development of Energy-sensitive Cluster Formation and Cluster Head Selection Technique for Large and Randomly Deployed WSNs

  • Energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is a critical issue because batteries are used for operation and communication. In terms of scalability, energy efficiency, data integration, and resilience, WSN-cluster-based routing algorithms often outperform routing algorithms without clustering. Low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) is a cluster-based routing protocol with a high transmission efficiency to the base station. In this paper, we propose an energy consumption model for LEACH and compare it with the existing LEACH, advanced LEACH (ALEACH), and power-efficient gathering in sensor information systems (PEGASIS) algorithms in terms of network lifetime. The energy consumption model comprises energy-sensitive cluster formation and a cluster head selection technique. The setup and steady-state phases of the proposed model are discussed based on the cluster head selection. The simulation results demonstrated that a low-energy-consumption network was introduced, modeled, and validated for LEACH.

Object-Oriented Field Information Management Program Developed for Precision Agriculture

  • This study was conducted to develop software which provides automatic site-specific field data acquisition, data processing, data mapping and management for precision agriculture. The developed software supports acquisition and processing of both digital and analog data streams. The architecture was object-oriented and each component in the architecture was developed as a separate class. In precision agriculture research, the laborious task of manual ground-truth data collection will be avoided using the developed software. In addition, gathering high-density data eliminates the need for interpolation of values for un-sampled areas. This software shows good potential for expansion and compatibility for variable-rate-application (VRA). The FIM (Field Information Management) computer program provides the user with an easy-to-follow process for field information management for precision agriculture.

  • Web data mining aims at discovering useful knowledge from various Web resources. There is a growing trend among companies, organizations, and individuals alike of gathering information through Web data mining to utilize that information in their best interest. In science, cloud computing is a synonym for distributed computing over a network; cloud computing relies on the sharing of resources to achieve coherence and economies of scale, similar to a utility over a network, and means the ability to run a program or application on many connected computers at the same time. In this paper, we propose a new system framework based on the Hadoop platform to realize the collection of useful information of Web resources. The system framework is based on the Map/Reduce programming model of cloud computing. We propose a new data mining algorithm to be used in this system framework. Finally, we prove the feasibility of this approach by simulation experiment.
