Network management is responsible for gathering information on the usage of the network media by the network devices, ensuring the correct operation of the network, and providing reports. MAP network management must provide the high reliability of the media and signaling method, even in very harsh environments, providing a very low bit error rate and minimum number of retransmission. In this paper, we analysed the framework of OSI management and MAP network management and discussed the implementation method of fault management and remote management mechanism in the Mini-MAP controller developed for IBM-PC.

This paper deals with the case study of the establishment of decision supporting system in shipbuilding industory. Facts or information of shipbuilding, sales, finance, production strategic planning in shipbuilding industry are considered. General transportation model for shipyard production schedule is formulated, and shipbuilding demand forecasting scheme is also introduced. This paper shows the several methods of DSS in shipbuilding industry. But production schedule strategic planning system by OR technique is emphasized. For the realization of DSS in shipbuilding industry, another efforts (data gathering and programming etc.) should be given on the basis of these methods.

Recent researches reveal that great benefit can be achieved for data gathering in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) by employing mobile data collectors. In order to balance the energy consumption at sensor nodes and prolong the network lifetime, a multi-track large-scale mobile data collection mechanism (MTDCM) is proposed in this paper. MTDCM is composed of two phases: the Energy-balance Phase and the Data Collection Phase. In this mechanism, the energy-balance trajectories, the sleep-wakeup strategy and the data collection algorithm are determined. Theoretical analysis and performance simulations indicate that MTDCM is an energy efficient mechanism. It has prominent features on balancing the energy consumption and prolonging the network lifetime.

There are a variety of users and devices in a context-aware computing environment. In this environment, the service provided to a user may be the composition of diverse services rather than one independent service. Before user's devices provide the composite service to the user, they should perceive user's needs by gathering related information segments from other surrounding devices and/or sensors. We consider a context-aware computing environment providing composite and adapted service to users and propose an information processing model that characterizes the device where the collected data should be processed through services and/or applications. Based on this model, we provide an analytical tool to obtain some performance measures of the context-aware computing environment.

This study systematized synthetically to use internet GIS and real estate appraisal method in computing system for the real estate decision. First, indicated the method of using GIS and databases to appraise the real estate by using the cost approach. Second, used the artificial neural network to predict the change of land prices and the artificial neural network convinced us that it indicates easily the result of land prices without complicated processes. Third, examined land prices using the artificial neural network but there is limits for the land price prediction because of difficult data gathering. also, this study may heighten information levels of the real estate field according to 21th century information level if use actively a internet, information users who should pay much moneys in existent real estate decisions may can approach easily.

The purpose of this research is to investigate into possibility of the university library information services for small and medium sized firms. The study is based entirely upon general means of information gathering used by industrial user analyzed by industry su n.0, pporting institutes and university library statistics. The results of the investigation are summarized as follows: 1. Locational convenience is a factor influencing use of libraries, either because libraries are close to work, or because users are used on an o n.0, pportunistic basis. University libraries are located throughout the country. 2. It is investigated that university library services should be more specific in their promotion, clearly stating their strengths and special or unique aspects of their services. 3. When university library does establish fees, good service is implied and must be provided through suitable procedures and staff arrangements.

IHWA 는 분리개발 된 객체 컴포넌트를 통합함으로써 새로운 응용 시스템을 작성할 수 있는 CBSE(Component Based Software Engineering)기법을 바탕으로 한, 웹 기반 정보 저장/검색의 전형적 모델을 제공하는 소프트웨어 시스템이다. 현재 본 연구팀은 IHWA 시스템의 적용 사례로서 e-business 를 위한 쇼핑몰을 구축하고자 검색, 지불, 운용분야의 모듈들을 S/W 컴포넌트로 개발 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 그 중, IHWA 의 검색분야에서 상품정보를 보다 효율적으로 수집하고 사용자에게 양질의 정보를 제공하기 위해 필수적으로 요구되는 정보 수집 서비스의 구조에 대하여 설명하고, 특히 비 정형화 된 XML 웹 소스에서의 정보수집 방법에 있어 현재 진행중인 연구에 대하여 설명 하고자 한다.
