  • The objective of the study is to develop the identification code of the Korean sci-tech journals for KSCI. To achieve the purpose, the study has researched and analyzed a variety of the major international and national serials or information objects identification code systems. And then, KOJIC(KOrean Journal Identification Code) has been developed. KOJIC is unique, unambiguous identifiers for titles of Korean journals in all subject areas. The concepts of KOJIC are simplicity, mnemonics, internationalization, and extensibility of its use. KOJIC is a six-character and alphanumeric code and has one check character.

  • This purpose of this study to analyze effect material properties have on change in QR code recognition rate according to change of materials by comparing recognition rate of color QR code. QR code applied to textile materials has the advantage of being washable and being applicable to lost child prevention goods or clothes or a person with dementia through record of information relating to the material or input of additional information, differently from QR code printed on the conventional paper. An effective method of entering QR code in textile materials is Digital Textile Printing(DTP), that facilitates printing by rapidly applying diverse information, and small quantity production. It is possible to tailor various QR codes according to use. Regarding samples to use, cotton material used in clothing products and Tyvek material recently applied to clothing and related products were selected. Reactive dyes were used for cotton, pigment was used for Tyvek, and QR code was printed with an inkjet printer by direct printing method. Printing methods and surface textures are different between cotton and Tyvek. It was revealed that consequent print results and results of recognition rate were different. Regarding color to be printed, 2015 S/S - 2017 S/S color presented by Pantone was used. Color combination affected recognition rate of color QR code. Understanding color combination, material properties and print characteristics may be helpful in increasing recognition rate of color QR code, and may contribute to usability of color QR code applied to textile materials in the future.

  • There are two kinds of backends in ACK:code generator(full-fledged backend) and code expander(fast backend). Code generators generate target code using string pattern matching and code expanders generate target code using macro expansion. ACK translates EM to SPARC code using code expander. The corresponding SPARC code sequences for a EM code are generated and then push-pop optimization is performed. But, there is the problem of maintaining hybrid stack. And code expander is not considered to passes parameters of a procedure call through register windows. The purpose of this paper is to improve SPARC code quality. We suggest a method of SPARC cod generation using EM tree. Our method is divided into two phases:EM tree building phase and code expansion phase. The EM tree building phase creates the EM tree and code expansion phase translates it into SPARC code. EM tree is designed to pass parameters of a procedure call through register windows. To remove hybrid stack, we extract an additional information from EM code. We improved many disadvantages that arise from code expander in ACK.

  • Smart phones, greatly expanding in the recent mobile market, are equipped with various features compared to existing feature phones and provide the conveniences to in several ways. The camera, one of the features of a smartphone, creates the digital contents, such photos and videos, and plays a role for the media which transmits information, such as video calls and bar code reader. QR-Code recognition is also one of the camera features. It contains a variety of information in two-dimensional bar code type in matrix format, and makes it possible to obtain the information by using smart phones. This paper analyzes the method of QR-Code recognition, password method-the existing user-authentication technique, smart card, biometrics and voice recognition and so on and thenn designs a new user-authentication technique. The proposed user-authentication technique is the technique in which QR-Code, which can be simply granted is read by smart phones and transmitted to a server, for authentication. It has the advantages in view that it will simply the process of authentication and conteract the disadvantages, such as brute force attack, man-inthe-middle attack, and keyboard hacking, which may occur in other authentication techniques.

  • In holographic data storage (HDS), a high transmission rate is accomplished through the use of a charge coupled device array for reading two-dimensional (2D) pixel image data. Although HDS has many advantages in terms of storage capacity and data transmission rates, it also features problems, such as 2D intersymbol interference (ISI) by neighboring pixels and interpage interference (IPI) by multiple images stored in the same holographic volume. Modulation codes can be used to remove these problems. We introduce a 2D 8/9 error-correcting modulation code. The proposed modulation code exploits the trellis-coded modulation scheme, and the code rate is larger (about 0.889) than that of the conventional 6/8 balanced modulation code (an increase of approximately 13.9%). The performance of the bit error rate (BER) with the proposed scheme was improved compared with that of the 6/8 balanced modulation code and the simple 8/9 code without the trellis scheme.

  • A signal system for improving the code acquisition complexity of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver is proposed and the receiving correlator scheme is presented accordingly. The proposed signal system is a hierarchical code type with a duplexing configuration which consists of the Zadoff-Chu (ZC) code having a good auto-correlation characteristic and the Pseudo Random Noise (PRN) code for distinguishing satellites. The receiving correlator has the scheme that consists of the primary correlator for the ZC code and the secondary correlator which uses the PRN code for the primary correlation results. The simulation results of code acquisition using the receiving correlator of the proposed signal system show that the proposed signal scheme improves the complexity of GNSS receiver and has the code acquisition performance comparable to the existing GNSS signal system using Coarse/Acquisition (C/A) code.

  • In this paper, some fundamental problems in the assignment and standardization of codes for Korean letters are discussed, and a multi-code method is proposed for the code assignment. This method is designed in particular to reflect the characteristics of Korean letters. Also, based on this method, a computer internal code and a telex code are suggested. The multi-code method enables us to obtain information on the display at a terminal rather easily by assigning the information dispersed among the code sequences to code himself and position. Further this method is shown to be capable of improving the transmission rate by 7.5% over the conventional resolution method if the given code space is efficiently utilized.

  • Barcode is widely being used in many places such as supermarket, cafeteria, library, etc. ISBN, Code 128, Code 39 are mainly used in barcode. Among them, Code 128 which is based on ASCII Code can transfer control letters that range from ASCII Code 0 to ASCII 32. Control letters intrinsically imply letters that are used to deliver information to peripheral devices such as a printer or communication joint, however, they play quite different roles if they are inputted on Windows. Generally, barcode devices doesn't verify input data, thus it enables people to tag any barcode that has specific control letters and execute the commands. Besides, most barcode recognition programs are using a database and they have more security weakness compared to other programs. On the basis of those reasons, I give an opinion that SQL Injection can attack barcode recognition programs through this study.

  • In this paper, a concatenated RS and Turbo code is proposed for OFDM system over burst error channel. The concatenated code used in this study is a RS(255,202) code and a rate 1/2 turbo code. The turbo code uses 2 recursive systematic convolutional (RSC) code as the constituent codes and the parity bit are punctured to get the desired code rate. It is shown by simulation that the conventional OFDM system fails when there exists burst noise. The concatenated RS and turbo code obtains at least 5dB gain over the turbo code at the bit error probability of 10/sup -3/.

  • The cyclic redundancy check(CRC) code used to decide retransmission request in hybrid automatic repeat request(HRAQ) system can also be used to stop iterative decoding of turbo code if it is used as an error correcting code(ECC) of HARQ system. Thus a scheme to use CRC code for both iteration stop and repeat request in the HARQ system with turbo code based on the standard of cdma 2000 system is proposed in this paper. At first, the optimum CRC code which has the minimum length without performance degradation due to undetected errors is found. And the most appropriate turbo encoder structure is also suggested. As results, it is shown that at least 32-bit CRC code should be used and a turbo code with 3 constituent encoders is considered to be the most appropriate one.
